This was our second stay, and we expected better. The food is in general very good (good variety and good quality), the grounds are extraordinarily beautiful; the rooms are OK. The hotel is a bird sanctuary, making it unique. The beach is probably the best one in the whole country. But there is a problem with drainage, so that some of the areas around the buildings are unbearably smelly. The deal breaker, however, was the theft of over $200 (they left the pesos) from a suitcase in our rooms. Clearly, Security would know who delivered towels to Room 112 during the dinner hour the night of July 28, which is when the money was taken, but all they did was blame the victim - the hotel is not responsible because we didn't purchase the rights to the safety deposit box. We won't be going back.

Entertainment was awesome; food and drink were great. My wife and I had a wonderful time and would definitely go again. Much better than expected, and we are fairly picky. It’s a tiny bit dated but well maintained and cleaned. The spa was excellent; the multiple massages were great. There is a dive shop on premises but it’s mostly oriented to snorkel excursions. We did two shallows dives which were very good and affordable.

Most hotel staff pleasant waitstaff great, bellhop and housekeeping are wonderful. Front desk some rude. Mediocre buffet, restaurant horrible except Japanese was ok however, food contamination concern interchanging untensils raw meat drippings with cooked food. Hotel bracelet is awful they tighten easily front so add tells you it cost $20 to replace even though you didn’t loose it. Beach is great, hotel grounds nice and clean. The bathrooms in the rooms are a horrible design water pours from shower. Not much space on vanity for personal items. We were placed on third floor with infant. No rooms available overbooked. Two people in our party had diarrhea for more than half of our 10 day stay. No AC last 2 nights. Bayahibe area nice eclectic and lots of local flair. Bayahibe village clean and nice marina. Wonderful restaurants in Bayahibe village among the locals strongly recommended. Next time stay at a rental condo and eat out. We were sick of the food halfway through the stay.

A little too quiet but that can be overlooked. Food was excellent all the time. Pool was a bit dirty but that can be overlooked too because of the palm trees. Drinks were amazing. It’s a bit expensive to go on excursions.

Was good and worth it. I would go back definitely.

The Beach is really good and the combination of the restaurants. About the entretaiment they can do more with that facilities.

My experience was very good. The service of the meals was excellent. The resort has many activities and the staff is very friendly. My stay was as good as I think the service at the reception should improve.

If you are not looking for a culinary experience, just to have fun, rest, a nice beach and pool area, this is the place, employees are not very friendly in the buffet restaurant or willing to help, but in the rest of the hotel , I can not complain the attentions were good.

This was our 7th time vacationing in DR. My family and I fell in love with the ppl of DR on our very 1st time. This was our 2nd worst experience in DR. 1st worst time was also a Be Live but located in Puerta Plata. This hotel chain is not even worth 1 single star. All the employees are so miserable and so disrespectful. The hotel is so disorganized. We stayed a wk and we went into only 1 employee that had a smile for us and actually happy to see us. We don't usually expect too much with the food at resorts but this hotel served the same boring food day after day after day after day. I did have the best laugh with the manager of the VIP section. He was trying to get us to join the VIP membership and we told him that it was our 2nd time staying at a Be Live and both times we are not happy with the service of the hotel. The manager told me that we get what we paid for. So does this mean that during staff meetings, the employees are told not to smile and be nice to the guests because we didn't pay enough for our trip? He gave me the best laugh.

Facilities are nice and staff is polite and service oriented. But there are a couple of things I didn't like: - I paid for a premium room, I received the same standard one, located in a 3rd floor with no elevator - In the premium package I had access to a "premium-drinks" bar... but no premium drinks there... the best rum available costs like $20 a bottle in the local supermarket - Bathroom only had 2 large and 2 small towels, given that this is a beach hotel, it is expected to have more than 1 shower a day which not confortable with that limited amount of towels - Every adult guest is entitled to receive a beach towel (the blue one), but it is required to return them to the towel kiosk by 6pm... but the sun sets at 6:50pm, and it is not nice to have to rush to return the towel before the deadline while you are still enjoying the beach or the pool - Beach and pool bars only open at 10am... if you want a drink (including sodas and water) before that you need to walk half mille to the central bar to get one, makes no sense - Theater opens at 9pm aprox, there is a funny show happening there, but... the theater bar was closed... I had to exit the theater area, go to the main bar to get drinks - Last but not least... Women's accessories SELLERS are located all across the hotel, these guys are annoying. I just wanted to relax and have a good time with family, but my peace was interrupted by them over and over to be asked where I was born and if I wanted to buy somethin

The hotel was okay, kinda old and the layout was very confusing . Food was basic , drinks were basic. I would probably never go back to this hotel or this part of the island.

We do not like very much our room. It was not clean when we arrive, and there was a bad odor in the bathroom and in the bed. The towers were not White.

Overall good holiday, superb beach, nice garden, good pool, good food and beverages, great location. Mostly friendly staff, especially at the restaurants, while some conflict and fight to get every day the right number of towels. Sheets were not replaced for some 4 days and took a challenge to let them changed. I just do not understand why these basics could not work automatically. Otherwise I could give higher overall experience grade and could recommend the place, as 'value for money'.

Entertainment was awesome; food and drink were great. My wife and I had a wonderful time and would definitely go again. Much better than expected, and we are fairly picky. It’s a tiny bit dated but well maintained and cleaned. The spa was excellent; the multiple massages were great. There is a dive shop on premises but it’s mostly oriented to snorkel excursions. We did two shallows dives which were very good and affordable.
