My ocean veiw room had no veiw...I've stayed at the Emperador a few times before and was always happy with my ocean veiw rooms. Right where you want to be in Old town. Big picture widow and large balcony looking out on Los Muertos beach and pretty much the whole bay. Great places to eat everywhere but this time I was very disapointed with my room # 101. My ocean veiw room had no ocean veiw. Just a small window pointed at a wall. Was more like a cell. The shower has a support colunm going up through it that you have to squeeze around to get in. I'm afraid these are orbitz or expedia rooms Was told there were no other rooms even though the place was half enpty. Finnally talked them into giving me another room the 10th day of my 11 day stay. It was a very nice room. Take my advice and call or email well ahead of your stay. If they have you in 101,201, 301, 401 which have no veiw or 110, 210, 310 or 410 which are pretty crummy adjoining rooms insist on changing to anything. 2,3,4,5,6,7,8or 9 any floor are pretty nice. If they won't change you cancel and book somewhere else. Lot's of good choices in the area.

.centrally located to shopping, dining, and the beach

The only thing that we liked or enjoyed was laying out on the beach. It was not what we expected and paid for, To begin with it was an old hotel we woke up to 3 cockroaches in our room. Our balcony had bird poop all over it. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody it's very run down .Is no pool or jacuz zi around. The furniture is very outdated.

Dated rooms but great location Some rooms have connecting doors and can be very noisy at night.

I love the location, I liked the concept of the room. The accommodations, while minimal, were acceptable. I can understand a family in a budget staying there. It seemed that there is not a much thought out in to physical maintenance of the property as should be. Mismatched tiles, broken tiles, etc. The linens were very tired and needed to be replaced. No kitchen linens made the kitchen unusable. I finally found the tableware half way through my stay. Minimally outfitted.

Expert room service from Isabelle. Very attentive to all my needs

The property was on the beach. A lot of amenities nearby. The property restaurant called Si Senior served excellent food and extended onto the beach with excellent service. There were lounge chairs on the beach. The property was on a sidewalk that was part of the malecon. The Pier was next to the hotel. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The maid went out of her way to make the room lovely.

I love staying at The Emperdador right on the malecón! The hotel is very clean and the staff is present and dedicated to maintain the facilities well. The front desk agent Victor was very helpful in providing good suggestions for my vacation. The room is big and has a small kitchenette with a sink if you want to cook! With pans, spoons, glasses and coffee maker etc. My suite had a balcony with a beachfront view. I definitely recommend it!

It was a older hotel, but clean and staff was very helpful, I'd stay here again, it's on the ocean and price is right

Small quant Hotel. Love this place. Very laid back and friendly. Great ocean view front property if you get Ocean view room Kitchen outside, with stove, sink and table for four. Refrid inside. Beds comfortable, bathroom a little small but do able. Older hotel but rooms are very clean

Location, cleanliness

The place is old, which I think is cool. Lot's of rooms facing the ocean that include large balconies.

this an excellent Hotel and all the staff excellent I don't have no comply

The location and view are excellent! The staff if friendly and easy to communicate with. We love it here and will stay again.

Great location. The quest service is awful. They don't care about your needs at all. There was a watre leakage never fixed, the safe didn't work, they gave one downstairs that was really hard to handle, so i decided just not to use it. TV had a lot of channels with no sound, some electric swithchs did not work. I always, as a reference, pick a 3 star hotel for my satys. This one doesn't live up to the stardands of the others at all. Worst hotel booking of my life

It’s a great overall. Great employees and great benefits such as rooftop access and beach access. Cheapest hotel I could find.
