Hotel really needs updating . Doesn't softer very much !

I have visited PV over 20 times. The hotels I normally stay at were booked. The front desk, cleaning room staff, and maintenance guys are great. The A/C unit is super loud, the TV/Internet connection is hit or miss (TV remote never worked but no big deal) and compared to other hotels in Zona Romantica this one is very basic. The location is good, and within walking distance to everything. The “beachfront” is misleading. There is a small section that is available but it’s shared with a restaurant...maybe a few umbrellas and not the part of the beach you can enjoy.

Staff extremely friendly. rooms cleaned in professionally.

Nice location near the Malecon. Reasonable rates for the location. Close to many good restaurants. We had no issues with our stay.

Great views, Great staff, everything in the romantic zone is within walking distance

Great location, nice view! Near the pier where all boating activities are available. No swimming pool at the hotel. There is a restaurant Si Senior behind the hotel with good custom guacamole dip preparation.

On the beach, beautiful view. Needed to replace toilet and bathroom sink.

The hotel staff was attentive and professional. The room I had (208) was below standard. I can say that for the price I paid I cannot complain since it was a cheap costing room. Overall it was ok, I would say get this room if you're on a tight budget and want to get away. The location of this hotel is pretty close to everything. One last thing, this hotel does not have a pool.

Ive stayed here twice before. I like the location and closeness to the beach I cant walk far and this is better than a mile walk from A MEGA HOTEL. They offered me an upgrade at check-in to get a balcony for 47 dollars extra in cash I offered $20; Im a smoker and its now a non smoking hotel so made it nice. King size comfy bed tv controllable ac tile floors thruout. Was a great deal. The new restaurant on the bottom floor Si Senor is pricier than the last but still good.

It was very good in general. The only bad thing is that I found a very good price in Orbitz for a single room and when I got there I wasn't very happy with the room I got. Next time I will pay a little more to get a better room.

We loved everything about this hotel amazing location friendly and helpful staff in te heart of the romantic zone

Staff was very nice and accomidating. No pool in site but hey you got the beach. Love the layback feel at the Hotel. Rooms could use should upgrading. Bathroom old and small

I was on level 2 facing the street (not the ocean view) and it was noisy due to car traffic, foot traffic, garbage nights with the garbage truck and of course people shouting as they are partying and getting from point A to B. No safe to protect belongings in room (but something was available within the hotel I'm told) and no refrigerator in room. When first arriving the room did smell musty so I ran the Air Conditioning most of the time which helped. Whirlpool on top level was not usable. Great water pressure for showers.

Great location close to everything and right on the beach.

I loved this hotel. They let me leave my Med size suitcase, while I went to Yelapa for two days. I checked in for only one night in my return. Claudia was really nice. She speaks English, and totally helped this older lady out. Great room, nice bed, shower etc. not too noisy. I loved my salmon ravioli half portion dinner at the fancy beach front La Palapa right outside. Great place, even my non beach ftont-discount room was very good!!

We had a Jr. Suite. The street noise is really loud. Great location. OK rooms. Great staff.

They keep their prices reasonable despite being right on the beach and the staff is genuinely friend. The building is a bit older but they keep it very clean in light of the fact that a little age on a place adds both charm and some pots here and there that just are not going to move. I adore the outdoor kitchens, the only of which I'm aware in Puerto Vallarta. It cools down here at night, making it a perfect place to keep, The beds and cooling are very comfortable. Best of all, the staff is always and immediately available from wi-fi to towels and soap. I could spend more on a more luxurious place, but this place is unique and has a special place in my heart and think it might earn one in yours, too.

The staff was great & it's super convenient for the beach, shopping and restaurants.

This was our second year at Emperador and we will be back. The friendly, professional staff made us feel at home and were helpful with suggestions and arranging cabs even during very busy times. The view from our room on the 4th floor was absolutely stunning! Keep in mind that this hotel is in the heart of the action in Zona Romantica. The area is lively and loud, pretty much all the time. This is not the fault of the hotel and there's nothing they could do to change it! So if you're looking for quiet nights, this area of town is probably not for you.

Restaurant & bar at beach level and walking distance to dozens of other dining & drinking spots. All types of services minutes away. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. The hotel and rooms are clean and the rooms on the beach side have a great view. The hotel is neither modern nor 5 stars by some standards, but for the location - it is my choice to stay for several years. If you want an all inclusive, floor tiles that match, or the occasional leaky faucet... Keep looking. If you drop the attitude and want a great easy stay, book a room now!
