The hotel itself was ok but the carpets and rooms and even my receipt was damp! They need some major dehumidifier in this hotel! The breakfast room was majorly small and thankfully there was not many people there. Otherwise the hotel was quiet.
Room was clean and satisfactory. Lobby and hallway had an unusual odor and were hot. A/C in the room worked but a large party in the conference room apparently overwhelmed the building A/C. Breakfast was average and we had to request water. This facility needs an update.
Stayed here about 10 years ago and they were so nice. I called to make reservations for an upcoming trip and they would NOT accommodate a person with a disability - I asked to rent a recliner from someone of THEIR choice and they would not allow a recliner from a rental center in their hotel. Just know if you need an adjustable bed or recliner to sleep in this is NOT your hotel.
After a bad experience this was quite refreshing. Friendly service, clean rooms, quite. Breakfast was as expected not great but good.Desk clerk could not have been more helpful. We had just left another place and did not have reservations here, she was able to accommodate us for three rooms for three nights. Would stay here if in the area again
My husband and I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Wheelersburg when we attended a family reunion. Our room on the second floor was large and clean. The beds were comfortable, with four pillows and an allergy-free comforter on each bed. There was a bar fridge and a microwave in our room, as well as a table and two chairs. Also, we had a hair dryer, an ironing board, and an iron. The complimentary hot breakfast each morning included bacon or sausage, cheese omelettes, fresh make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, pastries, donuts, toast, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. This was one of the best breakfast choices I’ve seen in a while. The heated indoor pool wasn’t very busy, and it was nice to swim every night before bedtime. Although towels are usually kept on a cart in the pool area, we had to ask for towels at the front desk. My husband made use of the small exercise room that had a treadmill, a stair-stepper, and an elliptical. On the downside, we were awakened early on a Friday morning by a riding lawn mower outside our window. And, at 1:00 AM on another night, the noise from the water running in the sink in the room next door awakened us as well. I wasn’t expecting the water running in the room next door to be so loud! One day, our room was not serviced, and that was disappointing. However, it could be because we didn’t leave the room until almost noon. Every single staff member was exceptionally friendly, pleasant, and helpful. We were allowed to check out a half-an-hour later than check-out time, which was much appreciated. This was the best customer service I’ve had at a motel in a long, long time. Despite the few negative points, we’ll certainly stay here again the next time we go to the reunion!
We had a good visit. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was really good. I really liked the sausage and egg biscuit. The room was clean. The dining area was clean. The pool was really nice. We had a special request that they wouldn't accommodate. My kids didn't get to swim because we had a very tight schedule. We could have swam from 9 am- 9:30 but the door was locked at 9:20. Too me when you are willing to go above and beyond, it deserves 5 star. I rated 4 star because it met all of our needs but they weren't exceptional. Cleanliness is very important to me and it was clean. I appreciate clean hotels.
My family has stayed here several times in recent years primarily as there are few other choices. The biggest complaint is the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways. They have recently made all rooms non smoking - I assume in response to complaints , but the smell is still strong. The room smell was not bad but felt we smelled like smoke when we left the hotel. Room was clean, staff was very nice and it is affordable. Also located near several restaurants and fast food places. If you like pizza you have to go to Freds next door! The breakfast in the morning was good for a hotel of this caliber. My hope is that they will figure out a way to eliminate the smell of smoke in the hallways.
We stay at this hotel several times a year, when we visit our grandsons. I am glad to see the hotel is now completely non smoking. However, in 3 of the past 8 to 10 stays, including this stay, the room was not serviced between nights. It is very disappointing to return to the room for the evening and have to go to the desk for fresh towels. On this visit, we could not connect to the Internet either evening. However, we could connect the next morning each day. This was no a big issue for us, since we had Internet access at our daughter's house. But it would be an inconvienience for someone needing access to work. The breakfast is always good. It is the standard fare found in all Comfort hotels.
I have stayed here in the past and the customer service is always awesome, the night auditor and 1st shift / breakfast attendant do an amazing job. The rooms were very clean ,beds were comfy. We will be coming back the next time we are in town . I wish they had double queen rooms .
The desk person, Beckie, was very helpful and pleasant, she went out of her way to be helpful, the rooms were average and the breakfast was very good. She was able to get us on the ground floor rooms to make it easier for my mother in law. When we asked about a place to eat she suggested Freds. It was excellent. Was a very nice stay.
