Beyond any all inclusive experience. Everything well kept, great service, great selection of food and beverage, great amenities. The only thing I didn't like was the VERY pushy concierge; this I never saw in other hotels: instead of the bell boy taking you to your room, they assign you to your "personal concierge " who is no other than a very persistent sales person that wants to sell you a membership; I almost had to kick her out. Other than that, everything was excellent.

The property is beautiful but for the amount of money paid at this resort I expected better service. As per manu reviews I chose to ignore hopping it was not going to happen to me it happen. Check in was the worst experience I have even had in any hotel. I had a reservation done through Orbitz for a year but payment was done directly through the hotel. We had 4 rooms and they did not show payment on our rooms. Our rooms were not available and it took a long time for them to confirm that we had paid for our rooms. Once they got confirmation we got rooms in different buildings. They placed me in the furthest away from my family stating that’s the way it had to be because I had children with me! I complained and a manager later came to my room and told me they were going to send a complementary bottle of wine that I never got. We were 12 people on our party and we rarely sat together to eat as they do not accommodate tables for big groups. Not even on thanksgiving night and after waiting for over an hour. The pool water is always cold and hard to enjoy. The food was delicious and the servers were very nice and attentive. The property grounds were clean and very beautiful but even after being there for a week and waiting a few days to write this review I can say first impression do matter a lot and won’t be coming back to this hotel.

Staff is very friendly. Property atmosphere was especially quiet and relaxed in the evening. Lots of room perks; flip flops, robe, snacks, stocked fridge, coffee, room service, bed turn down and all personal hygiene items. Our Xenotes tour was extraordinary and our guide Noah was exceptional. Noah was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, caring, considerate and extremely entertaining. Only detractor was check in, it was a long slow process ( over an hour). Try to schedule your arrival and check in after 3pm so you only have to do it once. Be aware that even though it says all inclusive it’s not. There are certain activities and restaurants which are an additional charge and some are costly. For example Sea Trek underwater excursions are $69 per person. There are plenty of inclusive options just plan your activities in advance so you aren’t disappointed and double check and confirm all reservations because you’ll be charged a no show fee if you don’t show.

Upon checkin our luggage was held at ransom until we talked with concierge to pay for optional activities and watch a 90 minute presentation. The 90 minute presentation lasted about 5 hours trying to upsale me to become a member; Terms were agreed upon and just prior to signing they changed the terms raising the price and taking away a vacation package. The air conditioning in our room was broken the first 2 nights, as a result we were promised a room upgrade that never came. After the second night we finally were able to switch rooms that had a working air conditioner, so the first 2 nights we couldn't sleep as my 3 year old was crying all night because he was hot. At the 90 minute presentation I was given a 300 spa credit and 50 dollar discount to swim with the dolphins, only during our move of the room the spa discount was lost and the hotel refused to honor the credit even though we had our receipt. Also, during the Tulum/Xe ha excursion we were practically held hostage at the park, as there are no buses to take you back till the end of the day, and if you try to get a taxi back to the hotel they charge you $57 1 way for a family of 4 for a 10 minute drive. At check out they refused to let my family on the bus till all resort fees were paid. This is not the exact experience i expected from a 5 star resort that I paid 9k for a week and extra 2k in optional activities.

Staff and great food and property was beautiful

This was the best hotel ever! We will be coming back!

Pros: uniquely beautiful, so many things to do and see, everything was clearly designed with a lot of thought in regards to guests and the natural environment, workers are all nice, transport to parks for free, airport transportation was easy, pools are nice, food is pretty good, yoga teacher is great, the property is gorgeous and in itself worth seeing and experiencing. Cons: you can’t (or at least when we were there) go to the beach and swim in the ocean in the way you think of when you picture an all inclusive on the beach. If you’re craving that chairs on the white beach and jumping in the ocean experience, this is not it. I suspected as much from the photos, but it was still a bit disappointing. Restaurant options are not as numerous as they appear given there are some reservation-needed spots that were all booked up. Attempts at sales pitches were frequent. For guests who might want activities on site that are not outdoorsy or active there aren’t many options.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico is the most beautiful resort we have ever stayed at! Also, it has the best food of any all- inclusive we have ever stayed at! The all fun included features of this resort are pretty awesome as well. I highly recommend this resort!

Everything. Best vacation. We only saw 1/10 of the property! We stayed in Casa Fuego, what a treat.

Beautiful property, but I was very disappointed in the food. I usually don’t expect much from all inclusive resorts for meals but this one was advertised as being the best. For the price we paid, expected much better. Would not return.

Amazing experience. Worth every penny. Book your trip with Hotel Xcaret Mexico!!

exceptional, you have to live the experience I was with my wife and my 6 year old son we all had fun the food, the restaurants are very good Las cuevas restaurant for dinner recommended đź‘Ś

This resort was everything! Cant wait to go back! Great service and great staff.

Disappointing. Although I was in communication starting 2 months prior to stay and did their early check in process, upon arrival I was told by front desk staff their only room was a single bed next to the loud suspended bridge and with windows facing the X e lfie flash. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and as encouraged by the concierge we shared with everyone yet not a single special touch on his birthday. Long waits to eat at non reservation restaurants and buffet was not hygienic with flies everywhere and nothing to cover food or items that needed to be cold were not on ice. For the money spent, dinal insult came when we were told our experience was not 5 diamond because we did not purchase a membership! Only highlight was the octopus pool kids loved, the ice pops at arrival, and the boat taking us to Xcaret Park.

Stayed for 6 days celebrating my birthday. The property is well kept. All staff very courteous and helpful.

Loved the options for pools, restaurants, and rooms. Lots of walking and getting lost but eventually found my bearings. Beautiful wedding venues.
