The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good but they need to provide fresh fruit. The hallway rugs need to be attended to. The bedroom bedspread is very brown and gives me a sense that millions of germs are hiding in it.
One of the bed had dirty sheets. There were stains (I will leave it at that) on the back of the bathroom door that should have been washed off. The breakfast area was messy and under maintained. The staff was pleasant.
I love staying at this hotel and i surely would recommend for people to stay
This was our second time at this hotel and we are favorably impressed.
Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel provided a breakfast buffet which included eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. Very comfortable, clean rooms right off the major highway. I highly recommend it.
Been staying at this hotel for 10 years now...at a rate of 2-4 times per year? Anyhow, we'd originally liked it very much then there was perhaps a two year spurt wherein things appeared to be out of kilter with the newest staff, overly bleached sheets (think chlorine smell and you'll get the picture), cable not working properly and more. But then things fell back into place this year with out latest visit in September of 2015 being the best. Not only did the sheets no longer reek of chlorine but dang! That bed was comfortable! Awesome comforter and extra pillows really made my nights! Great to see as well the redone gym, although it'd be nice to see some true work out equipment but hey! I'll take addition of NEW equipment over the old run down ones they'd had for years. Oh, and their great breakfast got better this year with the addition of cooked eggs and sausages. :-) Looking forward now to returning in the future! ...'just like we used to. -)
Lobby was being renovated at the time. Room was clean. Bathroom was updated. Good value for overnight.
hotel was close to high way and all amenities you need.
Nice staff. Clean room. Close to SUNY. Great Value.
I stayed for 2 nights but the first room had too VERY soft beds and I ended up sleeping on the floor. The next morning I had talked to someone at the front desk and they set me up with another room. Great job on the new room Thank you!!
The rooms were fairly quick clean. However the beds in one of the rooms was way too soft so I spoke to the staff the next morning and they moves me into another room however in both rooms I did find that there were electrical problems one of the outlets did not work and one of the lamps in the other room did not work Also the microwave and one of the rooms was fairly noisy and it sounded like you needed to read be replaced soon.
Very good experience! The staff was accommodating and the room was exactly as described. I would definitely recommend this hotel if visiting the area!
Unfortunately we were not happy with our stay at the hotel. The rooms were very out-dated, the bathrooms were so small there was no place to put a change of clothing after a shower except on the toilet seat. The breakfast was OK, but could have used some more fruit or yogurt for healthy choices
Upon check-in there were three people waiting ahead of me and there was no front desk clerk. He had left to show someone a suite to possibly book in August and he was the ONLY employee there. Check-in took over 30 minutes as he was trying to figure out how to add the suite to the block of rooms, while also trying to contact another employee...calling other people to get her cell number, etc. Was a nightmare. Also had to switch rooms due to no wifi reception in our original room. All in all, it just took way too long to get settled in, the noise from the exit was horrible, and the walls are thin!
Nice place, nice people. I've stayed here before, I'll stay here again.
Overall good experience their fitness room was the biggest joke ever. Then the only othe complaint was the bath towels were ragged and just unpleasant to use.
Our check-in was very simple. They readily accepted our reservation A nice complimentary breakfast was available, in a spacious, clean dining area. The room was average, but comfortable.
Small rooms. Be careful when you open the door to your room or you WILL smash into the wall. Also ask for extra blankets...Thin ones on the bed. Other than that it was a nice hotel and great location.
I have stayed at this hotel at least half a dozen times in the last year and this stay was by far my least favorable. Nothing major, but enough to make me consider staying somewhere else next time. The refrigerator never ended up getting cold enough so everything that we placed in there was warm when we packed it up the next morning. The bedspread - which, lets face it, bedspreads are known to be one of the dirtier things in a room, since it is not washed after every guest - but this one was disgusting! So dirty it was blurring out the design on the spread. Ish! And lastly, we had to head out early that morning for business, but only needed one car, so we left one at the hotel to pick up later on. When we came back to do so that afternoon, and were sitting in the car chatting before parting ways, some cleaning woman in the hotel was watching us suspiciously and actually called a manager to come check us out. Now, I appreciate the level of security, but mind you, my colleague and I are about the most non-threatening women you can imagine. Seriously? We weren't doing anything wrong, didn't have the music up loud, just getting situated to start our road trips back home and I found it belittling and insulting to be treated like that. And for the last reason alone, I will now probably stay elsewhere when I visit Plattsburgh.
The place was very average but there was absolutely nothing unpleasant that I experienced. Thin walls and slightly scratchy sheets,
