Breakfast was cold
For the price I paid, I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the hotel as a whole. I had dirty towels, the mattress had never been rotated or flipped, and breakfast was not offered. Out of the many rooms this building had, I was put right next to at least one or two other folks who I don’t think slept at all. Their door was slamming all night. My fridge quick working mid-stay. Glad I caught that quick. Not sure if that was from the cleaning gal coming in or what, but from the look of the cords behind it....I just quit using things on that side of the room. My friends stayed at the holiday inn (in Fort Pierre) for the same price and their accommodations were so much better than mine. I will not be returning to this hotel.
Breakfast was good. The bed was like sleeping on the ground. We had a lazy boy chair that was super soft and comfy, my husband slept in it. It was ok if you are staying only one night.
Our room was clean and adequate. It's not large or fancy but was very nice for the low price. Good breakfast selection too. Staff was friendly.
Very accommodating. Friendly staff. The staff let us check in early due to weather conditions, told us, and shared a map of the town. Which was very helpful.
For the price, Super 8 was fine. The location was great, particulary for where my graduate course was conducted. The hallways smelled a bit but the room did not. Breakfast was good and a bonus for the price. Housekeeping typically didn't re-stock items, which was a bit frustrating. All-in-all, for the price, Super 8 worked.
My son and I stayed at this motel for one night due to the fact that we had a meeting scheduled in Pierre for the day. The room itself was all right until I closed the bathroom door and found several very long black hairs in the corner where housekeeping did not clean. It didn't bother me too much but I am sure it would upset some people. Housekeeping just needs to take a little extra time in the corners.
Nice room and quiet. Very good breakfast. Short of staff.
Very comfortable bed--nice room-great shower Hot breakfast--good service Very good value---will stay again
Bed not very comfortable. Bed spread very old and stitching coming apart. Bathroom is small especially in the toilet area. Did not replace coffee that I used. Would recommend for price only.
I felt a little unsafe once looking at my surroundings, the lobby was worn and the hallway and room felt well used, not fresh
The hotel has great location and service. The rooms could be cleaner.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, room very clean, plenty of towels and they had the thermostat set right for the outside temps. Very good buffet breakfast, ready early and plenty of food and great selection.
The room was clean and the staff was helpful .Easy to find , and location was good lots of restaurants close by. We would stay agian.
I called this hotel early in the week, and was told that they were overbooked for the date we needed. I questioned that, since it appeared that rooms could still be booked online, but she assured me that they were not only full, but overbooked. I hastily completed the booking through this site, which was confirmed. When my husband arrived, the check in clerk told him that they had plenty of rooms, including rooms with 2 beds, but because we had booked with this site, he was "stuck" with the exact room we had booked, which was the only one left available online at the time of booking. She made it clear that since we had booked through this site, she wasn't helping him out in any way. The room was very small, and the bed was VERY uncomfortable. The breakfast was the typical cereal, banana, and waffle. Seriously, unless this is the ONLY hotel left in Pierre, consider somewhere else.
Whether it was the lumpy mattress or the heating/cooling unit that couldn't keep it's setpoint because the thermostat was inside it rather than across the room I just didn't sleep well.
This hotel is very basic. The price was right. The most negative thing was the mouse trap - a sticky tray with clumps of peanut butter just under the desk - very unpleasant!
I stayed here twice during my trip to the Dakotas and both times were satisfactory. Each room has a Refrigerator/Microwave in the room. The motel is close to some good restaurants and a grocery/liquor store.
Reservation stated that motel room was to be smoke-free. Burn holes in chair & bedspread. Smell of smoke in room. Sticky spot on carpet. Motel was near variety of restaurants & convention center. Room was quiet. Price reasonable.
