The staff was awesome. The room was comfortable and clean. Free breakfast was basically what you'd expect. Nice little hotel in a quaint little town. We were happy with our stay. Pool area was not the greatest. Hot tub didn't work and pool was kinda gross. Overall though we would stay here again.

Spent a couple of nights at this hotel. Nice workout room and clean room. The 4 am train is notable and the complimentary breakfast was average. Service was good and the facility was clean. Take a room on the top floor since it was quiet.

The person that checked us in at the front desk was very friendly. We arrived late and went directly to our room. It was a family suite which was nice size for the six of us. Room was clean. Great breakfast in the morning. Would I stay here again? Yes.

Good places to stop at night are few and far between on I90 in SD. We called the central number for Holiday Inn and they referred us off of I90 to this hotel. With three kids, we opted for the spacious whirlpool suite and got a roll away. There was plenty of room for the five of us (even with the roll away set up) in very comfortable and up to date surroundings. For dinner, there are restaurants within walking distance so you can park the car for the night and forget about it.

This is a typical HI Express near the banks of the Missouri River. We selected this hotel because it was on our way to Minnesota and we expected to be around Pierre in the late afternoon. HI Express hotels have the program down with a quick check-in, clean rooms, pool for the kids, free hot breakfast buffet, and convenient to get to. We have stayed in several and never had a bad stay. This stay was no different.

Our room was very nice and very clean. Enough space for all 4 of us to spread out after a long drive from Denver. Hot tub was not working though. The water was cold and looked a little murky. The pool was heated but the water didn't look great. A stain on a table in the poolside area looked like either jelly or blood... either way, that should be cleaned up. Overall the pool area is in need of attention and I would not recommend it. The front desk staff was very helpful both on the phone and in-person. Overall a good choice if you have no plans to use the pool area.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for two nights in June. We were there for a family reunion and there were many families staying at this hotel. The staff was very nice and incredibly helpful. The room as good. There was a very nice breakfast with many choices of quick (grab n go) or cooked items. Super convenient. We would stay there again!

I stayed at this hotel from Monday afternoon through Friday morning. I was given a King accessible room with a king size bed. The room is very average, nothing fancy but not terrible either. While I was here I ate breakfast each morning which included fresh fruit. I also utilized the workout room, the equipment worked well for me but I was a little disappointed that the monitors/screens were broke on 2 machines, still usable but one less bonus feature to use. The pool is very small, but it was great for swimming a few laps. The hot tub was broke down during my entire stay so I did not have an opportunity to enjoy it. Overall I think this is a very average hotel with a very pricey rate. I personally would not have been happy with the rate of this hotel had I paid for it myself.

Very lovely property. Dee Dee checked us in and was excellent. Easy location. Came to Pierre just to leave I-80 and drive the scenic 1806 S byway (warning: pretty but you will be in the boonies). Left the byway at Kennebec to rejoin I-80. Hotel provided great access to the Capital, Governor's Mansion, lake area with War and EMS memorials (very good). Enjoyed our stay but thought the price was excessive given these items: no refrigerator, no microwave, and no ice machine on 2nd floor. I hate having to walk to a different floor just to get ice.

This is an older Holiday Inn express. It's not updated like some of the newer ones with more modern conveniences, but it will do the job. Thin walls. Free parking. Close to Perkins. The front desk staff are very nice and you can get a late checkout until 2 PM.
