This hotel was in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We rented a scooter across the street for 3.00 a day, The little bar across the street has a cute little old lady working and super cheap drinks. The rooms are very big, huge comfy bed, and spotless. If you get a view of the beach it is breath taking. We had the highest floor and I enjoyed waking up to it. No outside drinks in the pool. The bell boy brings your bags up and shows you how everything works in your room. Free water daily in the min fridge.
We returned for the eight time.to Chanalai Flora Resort. We like where this hotel is situated in Kata. Just five minutes to the beach but the hotel is situated in a quiet area. The rooms are very good an the buffet breakfast is very good. We will return next time we are in Phuket
We stayed for 3 days whilst traveling around southern Thailand. The hotel is in a good location with shops and restaurants all around and 5 minute walk to Kata Beach which is lovely. The room itself had a really good view of the grounds and sea. We had a very big room with a huge bathroom- which needs updating. Our toilet smelt quite a lot of the time but I think that's to do with the drainage system not the actual hygiene of it. The breakfast was nice. And balcony was big as well. Overall it was a good hotel, we have stayed in a lot worse!
We only stayed here for one night as a final goodbye to Phuket. We enjoyed it here, the hotel itself is lovely. The pool is brilliant and open late. The rooms are very big with a great shower and tv, safe in the wardrobe, air con and a balcony. The staff are very helpful, happy to book you transport to airports or help with day trips. Rooms are more pricey than other places, but to rooms are worth it. The position is up a little hill, close to a lot of restaurants. Nothing else really, not too close to the beach. Lovely short stay, the rooms were the best. The pool was the best. The position, not so much.
Stayed here with my partner and 2 kids (2 years old and 6 months old). The location is perfect. Short walk to beach, local bus stop, 7/11s and food places. Wifi was so good all throughout the resort. Pools were nice and areas kept clean. We ate at restaurant once for the BBQ and it was great. We ordered room service one night and the food was cold but that was my fault as I gave them the wrong room number. The staff were all so lovely-always too happy to play with the kids and make jokes with them. A special mention to Pui and Ge-always going out of way for checking if we had a good sleep or we needed anything and Loh for providing great service. E and Pui thank you for giving our kids so much love and attention. Always playing with the kids and treating them like their own. Can not fault one staff member-they we're all brilliant. The only annoying thing was that there was signs in the lift advertising happy hour between 6pm-1030pm at terrace restaurant however when I asked staff members about r they had no idea and kept referring to happy hour at pool from 12pm-3pm which was different. Loved this place and would definitely stay again!!
We booked at the last minute to stay at the Chanalai Hillside and unfortunately there was a problem with the scheduling and the room wasn't available. The manager at the Hillside dealt with this very smoothly and arranged for us to have an upgraded room instead at the Chanalai Flora and a complimentary transfer. We were greeted with a warm welcome at the Chanalai Flora and throughout our stay the reception staff were always cheerful and happy to help. The location is good for Kata Beach, just a short walk from the beach and lots of restaurants and bars. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was also a good size. We had a lovely balcony with a beautiful view of the Andaman Sea. The furnishings in the room could do with updating but the bed was very comfy. There are 2 pools but they are really designed more for families with children and not that great for swimming. The hotel was very popular with families and I think if you are looking for a relaxing place to chill out as a couple one of the other Chanalai resorts would probably be a better option, but at such short notice this worked well for us and the staff could not have been more helpful!
This hotel is perfect for those wanting to stay in Phuket but do not want to be in the heart of the crazy Patong district. It is quieter but still lots to do. The hotel itself is very clean and located just a few minutes walk to the beach. Surrounding the hotel it is easy to find, convenience stores, clothes shops, the market, restaurants, bars, massages etc. Kata Beach itself is pretty busy but plenty of space to sunbathe nonetheless. The view from the bedroom balcony was lovely, very scenic. I had a very late / early morning check-in but the staff were there with a smile on their faces, despite the time. The staff were also very helpful in arranging transport for any trips I wanted to do. It was great, I would definitely stay again. The room service was tasty too!
We stayed with a group of 5 at the resort early March for about a week. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags and hang by the pool area until check in which was appreciated. The rooms were released around 1pm and we all checked in and climbed the 4 level staircase to our room. We did not mind the stairs but it was indeed a bit of an effort. The lift was working on and off but did not seem trustworthy for our building (2) The hotel was fairly busy and the kitchen and pool areas filled regularly but still very doable. There is a lot of pool seat reservations which was frustrating, with visitors putting a towel on the beds all day regardless if they are there which did not leave a lot spare if you were late heading to the pool. Kata beach is a great swimming spot so don't hide away at the pool all day and miss out on the great beach. I would also recommend buying an umbrella for the beach to have for your stay. Breakfast was basic buffet. Bacon was taken up pretty quick and eggs were only available lining up for the egg station. There were always different stir fry's and a salad bar which was a bit different. Overall it was fairly good and enough to get you through the day. There is a sign on your door that shows make up your room or shhh quiet. Make good use of this if you are having a nap midday. The two bottles of water and vouchers for drinks were provided on check in and two cans of beer given, along with daily 2 bottles of water. The restaurant is ok we only sat at for a few drinks rather than eat. Aircon worked well, bed was hard but the 5 of us all slept really well so it was not a bad thing at all. Great location, there is a great massage place across the roads, 7/11 and restaurants nearby. Beach is 5min walk. We used our own private driver Pele (read review under Phuket Taxi Service) who was fantastic. This is about a 50 min drive from the airport but close to the big buddah and temples. Staff were friendly and approachable, no issues at all over our stay to report. They helped out with and had our three rooms allocated on the same level and were happy to arrange a late check out.
The staff at this hotel are absolutely incredible. The breakfast each morning is amazing, two wonderful pools. One is a bit louder with music and the other is quieter. Less than 5 minute walk to Kata Beach. Peaceful at night, less than 2 min walk from the town area with the shops and restaurants, etc. Everything you need is right there. The rooms are spectacular. Air conditioning and wifi worked PERFECTLY for us. The travel desk was super helpful as we were able to book our adventures on the run last minute with no issues. Taxi rides to and from the hotel if you use the hotel service is expensive and the dinner isn't very cheap at the hotel there so I would recommend walking 2 mins down the road to get a tuk tuk for way cheaper. Plenty of restaurants around. I will absolutely be back. Such a pleasant stay!
Lots of bars, restaurants, massages, laundries right "on hotel doorstep". When you walk out of the hotel ground, you just step on the pavement. Beach is 5 min walk. Staff's great, smiling and helpful. WI-FI should be stronger in the room. We chose room on the 5th floor which is strongly recommended as lot of guests situated on the gound floor are noisy and not accepting pool rules (swim and shout in the night). I'm not sure if it is 'cos they were mainly Russions but they were loud. 5th floor rooms are spacious, well equipped, stunning view of the Andaman sea. Large selection of food for breakfast. There are several lifts and ways that can take you to 5th floor - a bit confusing but just at the beggining.
