The Anuva Hotel

It is quiet and the room is nicely laid out. the two lights by the bed don't work and there is not instruction for how to use the TV. The staff person at front was very nice though he was told he needed to keep a paper copy of all my credit card information. I insisted that was not acceptable, so easy to steal. He understood. Currently I am wondering: When do they deliver the continental breakfast to your room? No sight of anyone.

Property was overall good and property owner was great about follow up and was very helpful. Had left item in room and property owner shipped it back to us.

I kinda feel bad leaving this review because I feel like the gentleman who helped us at the front desk was friendly and kind, and might run the hotel on his own. Let's get the bad out of the way: - this is a countryside hotel, not a motel - no inside-only locks on the doors - $250 deposit is completely unreasonable - non-refundable room charge is unreasonable - everything works but general state of disrepair - carpet coming up, parts of A/C unit fell off while there - neighbors noisy all hours of the night - no breakfast served (cited COVID-19, but not masking) - our room was only quickly cleaned - previous tenant's food was partially eaten, could not try The good: - we remained safe - our car and room were not broken into - the appliances do work, even if rusting etc - the bed was clean, no bugs - someone probably likes the rainwater shower Room rate was over $100 a night and I only got it because it was a bit of an emergency and closest to where we needed it. I would probably not stay here again unless the room rate were half the price and numerous things on the "bad" list were fixed.

It's was the worse experience in my entire life of renting anything blood stained sheets with urine stains unclean bathroom.. absolutely no service or towels or sheets no vending machines ..total crook. Got a refund right away but it was a doozy. DO NOT GO HERE.

The breakfast is declared as continental, but it was far from so... You had a few things to choose from and the guy only said it is for two people although we made the reservation for a family of four... It would be honest if it was mentioned that there is no breakfast but complimentary items available... and the guy was rude during the check-in...

I reserved this hotel online and got the confirmation. Later when I got to the hotel, AFTER driving ONE hour just for this HOTEL, they told me there was no vacancy and that even though I had the Orbitz confirmation, that did not mean anything because they didnt have any rooms left. They DID NOTHING to help find another hotel and the location of this hotel was FAR away from andy other hotel and it was almost 11PM when I left there to go and try to find another hotel room at that hour. VERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS TYPE OF SERVICE! IF there were not rooms left...I SHOULD NOT have been able to reserve one! QUITE AWFUL to do that to someone!! Also, on the website the hotel looks like it is one building and the rooms are inside...however, the rooms are all outside and there is a separate building where the clerk is to check in. ALSO, VERY MISLEADING based on the PICS!!

The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Complimentary breakfast brought to the room in the morning. That was nice, but choices were very limited. No coffee offered except for in-room coffeemaker. Landscape service started mowing at 7:00, which was not a problem for us, since we were getting up early. But, others at the hotel were very annoyed, with good reason.

Nice rooms and bathrooms...very remote location, near police station, outside could use more curb appeal... A definite motel... Labeled as a hotel... Good stay for the money

Not much on the eyes from outside, but tge eecently eenovated Anuva was a surprisingly modern and comfortable stay in the country. Contemporary style, wonderfully pleasant staff and free breakfast were icing in the cake of a great price. Definitely consider if traveling out that way, or for a couples trip.

Looking at it from the outside, it admittedly looks like a cliche rural motel, complete with a house-office that's not much on the eyes. Inside waits a friendly, accomodating staff (family, I think) that seem eager to do anything for you that they can. Upon opening the door to my room, I was pleasantly surprised by modern comfort with contemporary style, a pillowtop bed, and an immaculate bathroom. The style rivals some NYC rooms, only half the cost and more space. There were no toiletries available besides liquid soap (bring your own), but they made up for it with complimentary breakfast of juice/milk, cereal, pastries, and fruit delivered to my door promptly at the time I'd asked. The same woman who checked me in was happilt bearing my breakfast on a serving tray. If you're passing through or getting away for a weekend, definitely consider the value and comfort of the Anuva.
