Had a wonderful stay in a room with a beautiful view of the bay. The hotel common areas and room were very clean, the TV remotes were sanitized and in ziplock bags, and everyone (give or take a few non-compliant guests) were properly wearing masks. Had a unique booking situation that the front desk manager was able to help us out with, and we greatly appreciate her help. Would recommend staying here if you plan to ski in the area- it’s an easy drive to any of the hills.

We stayed there one night. Initially I was initially impressed with the staff at check in. Everyone was wearing a mask and signs required to do so. Unfortunately, one of the housekeeper downstairs as well as going in and out of the rooms had no mask, not even around her neck. They made extra efforts to post signs, breakfast was individually wrapped muffins, yogurt, etc which I was pleasantly surprised by. But to let a housekeeper not wear a mask at all and walk al over the hotel is unacceptable insuring this pandemic, and when all guests are required to wear one and we’re following the guidelines. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I was up all night because my back killed me and I don’t have back problems at all. No elevator in the hotel so all luggage had to be lugged up the stairs. Not an easy feat. Had I known I would have booked a first floor room. I don’t remember that being posted on the site. Maybe I missed that part of it however. It was a great location and nice views of Little Traverse Bay. But because of the beds, will most likely not be returning.

Overall the hotel looked minimal/clean. However, our bathroom smelled like urine. No cleaning during our stay due to Covid, which resulted in lots of garbage and you had to go to the front desk for any new towels, toilet paper, etc. The beds were smaller than what we thought a queen should be. Beds were ok in comfort. One reason we booked this was for breakfast. However, due to Covid, you could only get bagged muffin, donut, yogurt. The pool area was nice.

Very nice property and very reasonable. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices. Rooms adequate. Only complaint was the squeaking noise from the bathtub faucet when the shower is turned on.

I would like an exercise room. The breakfast was good.

Wonderful helpful staff. Clean rooms, windows that open to let in fresh air.

The front desk staff was polite and helpful. The hotel is a quick drive to downtown Petoskey, also a plus.

Thank you for bringing these issues up as every day we deal with them. We do comply with all mask and separation requirements, however we do have one housekeeper that has a medical reason to not wear one - I can only hope that is what you observed. Our beds were all replaced in late 2017 in compliance with Wyndhams directives for AmericInns, but we also understand that no one mattress fits everyone. Thank you for recognizing our staff and location.

Overall the hotel looked minimal/clean. However, our bathroom smelled like urine. No cleaning during our stay due to Covid, which resulted in lots of garbage and you had to go to the front desk for any new towels, toilet paper, etc. The beds were smaller than what we thought a queen should be. Beds were ok in comfort. One reason we booked this was for breakfast. However, due to Covid, you could only get bagged muffin, donut, yogurt. The pool area was nice.

You are correct, we are not cleaning stay overs at this time to limit the contact between staff and guests for everyone's safety. Rooms are sanitized using an EPA "N" listed chemical, so not happy to hear you had a smell. That being said, we will always respond to any guest concerns and I hope we were able to do so and take care of your issues immediately. Beds are standard sized Hotel Queens and were replaced in late 2017. Thank you for bringing up your issues, it is the best way for us to improve our experience for future guests.
