This is a tired property. The electrical outlets seemed inadequate. There was a control for an adjustable bed that didn’t work. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep this will do.
They served food for free all day in their breakfast room. Free dvds . The property was older but the room was completely remodeled and it was cheaper than the other hotels in the area.

The rooms had everything we would need from a hotel - hair dryer, fridge, microwave, safe, wifi, free movie rentals with free popcorn & cookies. The beds were comfortable. There is also a free cafe which saves so much money by not having to eat out as often. They truly have thought of everything to make a stay comfortable.

Stayed just for one night and my stay was great. They have great comfortable beds and they serve continental breakfast all day.

First, the positive... The breakfast/soup/snack bar all day is pretty great. It isn't the healthiest of foods but the convenience is super nice. The bads are things that could be fixed. First, when checking in, I needed to cut my trip short but was told they could only charge my card for the full reservation and then I needed to work with Orbitz to resolve it even though I hadn't actually paid yet. After Orbitz confirmed that wasn't the case the front desk person told me to come back the next day when a manager was here. When coming back the new person told me it could easily have been adjusted. Luckily she resolved it easily! Next both blankets on the bed were dirty so I got a second comforter which was also dirty. I just picked the clean corner and moved on. The shower curtain looked like it hadn't been changed in a few years. The timer light in the bathroom has a button so small you can't really find it. There were no tissues. They did have the eco friendly cleanser thing in the bathroom but I'm a bar soap guy. All in all, you generally get what you pay for but the overall cleanliness can be improved with little to no cost. The front desk staff were nice. The cleaning staff were standing in the parking lot smoking cigarettes complaining about how laundry isn't ready for them in the morning though. Petoskey is pretty!

Everything was great, staff, the food (delicious), location, the room, and the price. My only complaint is that the bathroom was kind of dirty. The floor was especially dirty. The room and bed were clean and great, but not the bathroom.
Had to ask for another room upon arrival because the one booked wreaked of cigarette or cigar smell. Second room was in need of a deep cleaning. Dust and food crumbs under bed. The hairdryer did not work. Bedding had a few small stains on it. Even the main office windows were smeared. Whoever cleans clearly does not put in much effort. Front desk staff was friendly and did apologize about first room smelling bad. Also the beds kinda stink being separate mattresses for a king. Can’t snuggle because one has to be willing to fall in the crack in the middle.
This hotel has excellent amenities and is very well-managed. The room had a refrigerator, a microwave, smartTV, and a covered parking at the door - excellent for snowy conditions. There was a free full breakfast, and evening snack. It was an excellent experience.
