We have stayed here at least three times over 7 years. All three times we have found this to be a great value, terrific, comfortable, clean hotel and very friendly service. Not sure why a recent reviewer (Bernie C) had such a bad time - wonder if he was at THIS hotel? We were particularly grateful to find a room at the last minute because we had rented an apartment nearby that turned out to be so awful we decided to leave and risk losing our money. Not only was everything here at the hotel as remembered (clean, well maintained and comfortable) but the young man at the reception found my bag of new shoes that my husband had accidentally left at the desk in his excitement to see his sister, and then when I went to thank the young man, I tripped, head first towards the class window behind the desk and he caught me before I fell! Nice little restaurant on the first floor, and you should definitely visit the roof top terrace. Great location 1 block from Vaugirard metro. Nothing fancy, but a solid place to stay that you would not be disappointed.
Worse Hotel I had ever stay in my life. Accor Membership do not gave any priority or benefits than other customers. Receptionist never nice to you, they work like dead people. Never gave any information about the guest to their colleagues who on new shift. Nothing much for breakfast, just for save your life in the morning. Compare with the price you should find other hotel to stay. If you think to apply to join the membership, I am not hesitate to say NO and better save your money for something else. THE HOTEL SHOULD NOT PROVIDE PRIORITY DESK FOR YOUR ACCOR LOYALTY CUSTOMERS IF YOU CANNOT GIVE THEM AS A PRIORITY. You will have a good day in Paris if not choose Accor hotel. ;)
Hotel is difficult to find doesn't help when we paid for the hotel at Gare Montparnasse but its Vanguard we were looking for. Lovely hotel, staff friendly and helpful, arrived early room was ready, everywhere very clean, had a superior room. Breakfast was good paid for it before we arrived. Lots of restaurants around, station is near, would go again.
A typical novotel hotel. Good and average stay with easy access to the city. nothing fancy that you would expect. But that's typical Novotel i'd say. Easy access to public transport with bus stop and metro access just outside the hotel. About 20 mins by public transport to Eiffel Tower area.
Hotel is difficult to get to from the Eurostar Station. Room is good, nothing special. Our Air conditioning did go out in the middle of the night. The best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace. if you assumed from the TripAdvisor pictures that food was served to overlook the beautiful view, you are wrong. It’s a nice bar though. the hotel doesn’t open the rooftop past September and opens again in the spring. Also keep in mind they do lease out the space for events and you won’t be able to access this feature all the time. We weren’t able to go for most of our trip. So don’t book solely to enjoy the roof top view bar.
This hotel was the worst hotel we stayed in over a two week journey around cities in Europe. The room was old and tired with burn marks in the carpets, electric sockets loose in the walls. No cups were provided for the tea and coffee facilities and two visits and more than hour wait for reception to get it sorted. Breakfast had very poor offerings for a hotel that boasts 4 stars. We are currently waiting for a reply from the hotel and would be making a lot more noise if I had paid the full nightly rate
Had a great stay! Hotel staff was very friendly and took care of our needs. Nice, clean room. And a great view from the rooftop! Very close to a metro station and in a great location. Highly recommend and will stay again in another locating that is offered.
The hotel is showing sings of time with peeled paints on the doors, cracked door frames in the bathrooms due to water from the shower, broken shower knobs, etc. But the fact that the carpet was stained is unacceptable, it is a LACK OF MAINTENANCE. Even worst was to find dishes in the breakfast buffete that showed reminiscences of previous meals. I had to grab 4 or 5 dishes to finally find a completely clean one. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, the dinning room staff not so much.
Located in Montparnasse neighborhood, right by Vaugirard metro station, not in tourist area, but still with many restaurants and a grocery store a block away. Good for families. EXCELLENT help from desk staff, from metro tips, calling taxis, accommodating us so we didn't have to move rooms, to quickly taking care of a billing question. Only suggestion is to open breakfast room earlier. Cleaning staff didn't always replenish tea or empty wastebaskets. However, overall iwe had an enjoyable stay.
This was our first Novotel experience and we are now loyalty members. The location is an easy walk to the bus station/train station and hop-on hop-off bus tour. It has an excellent view of the Eiffel tower, which was great for showing our girls how it lights up at night. The lobby area has a great play area for kids right next to reception so the kids can play while the parents get checked in and sorted. They had a plush toy and travel activity packs for the kids, which was brilliant! We took them to dinner with us so the girls could do the activity packs while waiting for the food. The room was clean and modern - not too much, but had everything we needed.
