well located, nice setup, friendly staff, original room decoration and amazing bar tenders. definitely avoid the rooms in proximity of the "bureau de poste", unless you wish to wake up at 6 in the morning from the noise...
The entrance and front desk is impressive. I like the ambiance. Was very nice to get an upgrade, surprise! Great spacious room, separate bathroom with toilet and beauty space for his and hers. One thing: the free WiFi was not up to speed, most of the time I used my own but that’s fine too. Good breakfast! I like the hotel part very very much.
Myself and two friends stayed at 1k Paris March 12-14. We stayed in the Pool Suite Room, which was amazing! The Hotel has incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The room attendants were very thorough in their cleaning of the room as well. 1k Hotel is located in a prime area of Paris, with plenty of restaurants and bars and the metro within convenient walking distance. One of the biggest advantages of having a room at 1K for an international was the fact that they provide a "handy" which is a cell phone available to carry and use. The restaurant and speakeasy within the hotel are absolutely amazing as well. We had two delicious buffet breakfasts, along with a nice lunch from the restaurant, and drinks at the speakeasy "Mezcaleria." I would highly recommend staying here.
This was my first time in Paris and I'm thrilled I stayed at 1K Paris. The location was great for walking around to different shops, attractions and cafes; and just a short Uber ride from major tourist destinations. The concierge staff was beyond helpful and went out of their way to provide dining recommendations and offer friendly advice. One gentleman in particular amazed me with his knowledge of the city and his background in teaching at a University. He's the type of person you want to meet when you're in an unfamiliar area.
When I decided to go to Paris, I was astounded by the vast amount of hotel choices available. I chose this hotel for a number of factors, however some were more important than others. I was travelling with my Mum, so as female travellers, location and a safe environment were essential. This hotel is located right next to Republique which is a busy area and we felt safe walking to/from our hotel. There are plenty of restaurant and bar choices near by and it is located so close to a metro station, it was great for getting around. We used the larger metro at Republique rather than the closer Filles du Calivere, just because it was easier connecting to other lines. Another factor in choosing this hotel was price. Accommodation in Paris can be really costly, and is usually dictated to by area, so we found this good value for money. The rooms were typically quite small but big enough for the two of us. The rooms were cleaned daily, although the floor was always very dirty and we needed to keep our socks on to avoid getting black feet. Plenty wardrobe space, lovely soft towels and nice toiletries. The pictures on the website definitely make the rooms look nicer than reality though. Another factor we consider when booking a hotel are the in-room facilities. Me and my Mum prefer to make the most of our days when we're exploring cities, so spend the whole day out of the hotel and usually return around 8.30. We're not big drinkers so don't like to be out late at night and are quite happy chilling out in the room. When I realised the rooms included free movies on demand, it sealed the deal and we booked up. When we checked in we discovered we were given a double room and not a twin. Apparently the 3rd party booking agent hadn't sent the request through to the hotel. This wasn't a problem however and we were told it would be sorted the next day, which it was. We also discovered the movies weren't working, to our disappointment. They would constantly "buffer" and we weren't able to watch them. We mentioned this the next day and were told they'd be fixed ready for our return that evening. Although we mentioned it a number of times, they were never fixed and we never received an explanation for the problem. I was just advised to "turn the TV off and on again." On check out, I mentioned it again and didn't even receive an apology. Everything was forgotten until I returned home and received an email from the hotel asking for feedback. If feedback was positive, they encouraged me to post it on here, however if it as negative they requested I contacted them directly so they had a chance to resolve the issue first. I had also received an invoice for an item from the minibar which I hadn't eaten, so I decided to email. My email was fair, honest and requested some kind of partial refund because of the issue with the movies. For me this was a key feature and will have been a "hidden" cost in the price I paid, so felt something should be done, especially since staff didn't resolve the issue during our stay. In return I received the rudest, most patronising and offensive email from the general manager I have ever read. It suggested that I was using a bad Trip Advisor review as leverage to receive a refund, a practice well-known to the hotel industry, so this made him doubt the credibility of my complaint. He suggested that I was lying about the missing item from the minibar, even though I'd explained that the item in question was almonds and since I'm allergic, I wouldn't have eaten them. He told me that staff resolved the issue about the beds quickly which showed compassion, however suggested I should be grateful, even though it wasn't my fault the request hadn't been sent through correctly in the first place. He also told me that staff had offered to change our room due to the fault with the movies and had offered us x2 complimentary €12 vouchers as an apology. That is a categorical lie. The email went on but what has angered me the most was the suggestion that our decision to choose this hotel wasn't due to the in-room movie feature. To quote, "after all, we do have a lovely restaurant, trendy bars and a very ethnic neighbourhood to visit; and I hardly doubt you came to Paris to stay in your room and watch movies." How dare someone speculate on a CUSTOMER'S reasons for choosing their hotel stay. I have been offered a complimentary upgrade on our next stay but I've politely declined. So in summary, it's a lovely little hotel in a great location for exploring Paris. The price reflects the location and size of the rooms. Staff are pleasant but ineffective when it comes to resolving all issues. If you have a problem-free trip, it's fine, however if you don't, then don't expect a good resolution.
The two of us stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Everything was amazing - warm and spacious room (bigger that most rooms in Paris), beautiful bathroom, great restaurant... The breakfast was exceptional - continental breakfast with great variety of delicious food. The fitness room is small but it is very clean and you have everything you need for travel gym session there. Also, everyone was so nice and willing to help. The receptionists and restaurant staff speak pretty good English, which was very helpful. The location is great - near the Place de la Republique and close to two metro stations. We loved our staying here and will definitely come again if we come back to Paris. The only negative thing is the elevator which broke once.
I stayed here for a week during fashion week and i had a really good time. The staff is super friendly, particularly this super sweet girl at reception called Bianca. The food is also good. The only downside is that the internet in the room doesn't always work and there is no insolation so if you are staying above the bar on a busy evening, you hear everything. Fabio
This stylish boutique hotel with a focus on design is a perfect place for events such as business meetings, cocktails and any other get-together. We booked an L-Deluxe room that has everything needed for a girls’ trip away including a Queen bed, bathtub & shower, and a huge flat-screen TV. Our room had a view of the inner courtyard, so noise from the street couldn’t be heard. A rare find for a hotel in the city-center. I find breakfast the most important part of the day, so I always pay attention on how it’s served. Our in-room breakfast experience was en pointe, the food was delicious and the plating was perfect! You can really tell a great hotel from an exceptional hotel when it comes to the room service experience. Another great thing about this hotel is that they have a Technogym, which is fully equipped. I used it to exercise at least once a day, so I was happy to discover this space on the ground floor. On top of all this, Al Pisco bar serves the best cocktails in the city. We tried some very nice alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks there. Their Sandia and Limonada 1K were exactly what we needed on a rainy and moody Parisian day. Also, I’d highly recommend trying the Ethnic brunch-- it is entirely designed by the chef, Julien Burbaud. I do miss Peru, and so I was really happy to be able to eat Peruvian recipes in 1K Paris. All in all, we just really fell in love with 1k Hotel Paris--great value for money, great location, amazing design and service! Paris sure knows how to deliver impeccable hotels!
Me and my two friends shared a really beautiful spacious and clean room. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great and we would defenitely recommend the breakfast. Next time visting Paris i will stay here again!
We stayed there for 3 nights and liked it a lot. Great location, close to the metro and in the lovely Le Marais. The staff is excellent with a special thanks to Bianca for taking such good care of us. We will definetly return to 1K hotel!
