Have stayed at the Graduate a few times during my trips to Oxford. It is one of my favorite places to stay. Nice accommodations, easy walk to the Square and you could even walk to campus on game days if you choose. Love sitting out at the Coop in the evenings to take in the view of the Square. Anytime I've needed anything, the hotel staff have been very quick and friendly to respond.
The Graduate is adorable. The staff is more than accommodating. The Coop bar is great. I remember when it was the Holiday Inn and while that was a total tear down/rebuild, it's like the HI never existed. The only thing weird is that there was an ice bucket in the room but you have to call down for ice (I learned that after walking the halls) but they brought some up straight away so it's not a complaint. The rooms are really cute, modern and full of detail. I even wanted to take home the decorative pillow on the bed. Being square adjacent, this is the perfect Oxford hotel. If you can get in for a game weekend, Double Decker, etc. - it is totally worth it.
Loved the hotel. Lobby amazing. Only complaint are room ceilings. Look like faux concrete and feels claustrophobic and uncomfortable to look at.
We were able to walk to the town a nice small college town just right for our short stay
We booked a suite with Orbitz online. The day before our arrival I got an email from the Hotel stating that I could upgrade to a suite for $100 per night. I called and they said that I was mistaken that I only had a regular room. I had to make a copy of the Orbitz confirmation and send to them and they said it was an online booking mistake but they would fix it. When we arrived we had to go through the whole process again. If we werent embarrassed enough the next morning when we came down for the included breakfast we had to repeat the whole ordeal again. We ate out for breakfast from then on. As far as the accommodations, our room was not clean as there were hair balls and empty candy wrappers behind the sofa. No grab bars in the shower and a very slick tub. Our last day the lobby was being steam cleaned and all the furniture and floors were wet, with huge blue tubes running all over the floors. We saw a lady trip and fall. I hope we were just there on an off weekend, but would highly suggest that this hotel have ice machines and vending available soon as the gas station accross the street was full with the hotel patrons who needed a coke and a snack. Lastly, the price for a hotel room at the Graduate is far too high for this place on an off weekend. We will not return unless there is no other lodging when we visit our son in Oxford.
hotel was great and the staff was too. Well located just off campus so very convenient to shopping and the campus. Staff very friendly as you'd expect in MS.
Hotel opened less than a month ago. I think they are still working through staff issues. Used coffee grounds in coffee pot and on tray. Ordered a drink at the lobby bar and there was a bug in it. Barmaid took bug out, but did not replace the drink!! Desk staff were very polite.
For $145 a night I normally expect a slightly dank/dated Omni or Crowne Plaza room with a decent location. After a week of traveling the country and staying in hotels from $100-$300 I expected more of the same. At the Graduate you get a carefully curated experience from the moment you walk in the lobby. Local art and books are everywhere. The rooms have furnishing that I would actually love to have in my home (they have wool blankets on the beds). The toiletries are actual high end brands that I would happily use at home. It's also situated right in the historic downtown so you are walking distance from shopping and food. This is my favorite hotel in the south now. It's nicer and more welcoming than Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. I'll be coming back.
