Staff was nice and the stay was excellent. Super close to BART, too. The area is a bit sketchy and I heard some people screaming and yelling at night but other than that it was fine.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Our room opened up to the courtyard which i would highly recommend. It was an annivery trip. Just be mindul there are stairs and no elevator and we didnt find an ice machine(but we may have overlooked one)

Delightful place. Definitely not a chain: no tiki bar, no workout room, no pool. Also no elevator, although most rooms are on the 2nd floor. I had a room opening on to a delightful interior courtyard; very quiet.

We had a fantastic stay at Oaktown Roost. Our hallway king room was very spacious, very comfortable, and spotless. The rooftop/courtyard between rooms was a thoughtful touch—it added privacy and made for a perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and they had a gated parking lot. The location was ideal—close to bart and the Fox Theater. It was a great experience all around. Would definitely return.
