Great service; checked in quickly with no problems. Big, clean room & very, very comfortable beds & pillows. Nice little balcony with great close-up view of estuary. Staff was very accommodating & helpful.

Hey the best Western plus was the best my 1st time out in Oakland to see my Raiders and the experience I couldn't ask for more of a better tyme thanks I'll see ya next.year for sure

Staff were very accommodating. Room was spacious and bathroom was gigantic. Very pleasantly surprised! Loved it. The daily free breakfast was awesome value. Wasn't the typical cold cereal and toast. The hot breakfast varied each day. Well staffed and very scenic waterside view

This is a very comfortable hotel with a good breakfast, nice views and efficient staff. My king room was large with a seating area. It was very nice and in a surprisingly convenient location to downtown Oakland.

When we arrived in Oakland to a hotel that was absolutely disgusting, we had to scramble to find a new hotel. Luckily, we came across the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel. They were completely accommodating to our last minute booking and offered my family snacks, drinks and a comfortable lobby to sit at while waiting for our booking to show on their computers. When we got our room keys, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and roomy space. Our beds were comfortable and we had a very nice view of the bay. The complimentary breakfast was good and there were many options for coffee, tea and juices. The staff was always very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice room!! We had a great experience at this hotel!

Would recommend this place especially if you have a car. It is conveniently located near the freeway and provided a decent breakfast.

Nice and clean. Staff very helpful. Nice large rooms.

This hotel is excellent. Friendly staff. Good location.

Staff was always friendly. Continental breakfast was delicious and convenient. We had a first floor room looking out on the bay. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio drinking good local beer at night. We never took the hotel up on their shuttles to the ferry, airport, or BART, but the fact that they offered such service free of extra charge was nice. A clean, comfortable handy gateway for the bay area with free parking to boot. Zero complaints!

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip due to the excellent reviews and free shuttle to airport. Decent sized rooms and decent breakfast. Pool and Jacuzzi are located at the sister property next door, so you must walk outside to reach it. There is a Starbucks within walking distance, but area did not feel safe to walk alone. Located directly off a freeway. Had a very bad experience with staff not knowing hotel's policies and a rude manager who did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Note to hotel--train your staff and always go above and beyond for your clients. This is the minimum we require for return business.

I had business in Oakland and usually stay in a nice hotel downtown. However this trip that hotel was full so I decided to try the Best Western even though it was a farther from the State building than the place I normally stay. The extra 15 minute drive was WELL worth it! The BW is in a nice area with rooms facing the bay. It was more like a refuge than a place to plop down after work. It had ample FREE parking and was quiet. Rooms were clean, large and had good work space. There was fresh coffee all the time and there was a good breakfast with lots of variety.

Very nice staff and came through on what they promised. Hot coffee and tea 24/7. Is right on the water with a beautiful walking path. Shuttles anywhere u want to go. I will definitely be back

Everything was perfect; was upgraded to a king bed. Breakfast was a very good variety, and lots of coffee choices. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were staying in Oakland for our daughter's wedding. We've stayed in this hotel before, so we knew we'd have a positive experience again. This time I booked rooms on the waterside which I would recommend. Everyone enjoyed sitting on the balconies watching the sailboats, rowing teams, and seagulls. You can also walk or jog along the water. Several guests had dogs. It's really nice to have a natural setting to take the animals and not just a parking lot. It's also the small things I enjoy when I travel. I've stayed at more expensive hotels that don't include amenities like a tea/coffee bar, free Wi-fi, and the complementary breakfast buffet. If you are visiting the area, I'd definitely recommend the Best Western Bayside.

The Best Western PLUS Bayside Hotel is quite possibly one of the most friendly hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in. The staff is super friendly and ready to answer all of your questions. Charles, who was on the night staff when we were checking in, gave us excellent information on what we should do during our limited stay in SF/Oakland. Hotel Shuttle is courteous and professional. We took the shuttle to Jack London Square where we were able to ride the ferry to Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel is located in a secluded location off the highway, which does give it a feeling of good safety. The rooms here are huge. We booked one of the rooms with a king size bed and whirlpool and this room is easily one of the biggest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. I guess we're just used to cramp hotels trying to squeeze their customers into tiny closet spaces, but this place really lets you spread out. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were super nice. Breakfast here is FREE and delicious! Amongst the selection is the obligatory waffle machine, cereals, and pastries. In addition, there were hot omelettes, egg and sausage sandwiches, yogurt, fruits, milk, and bottled juices. Bottled juices included V8, grapefruit, orange, and apple. The coffee, tea, and espresso bar is also in the lobby and is available 24/7. The only downside is that the pool is in the adjacent hotel which I guess is co-owned by Best Western. Other than that, this hotel is pretty much the best hotel we've ever stayed in and we would definitely return here when we come back to San Francisco!

This Best Western is just fine. Its location at the Oakland Marina is complicated: if you have a room overlooking the water, you're good. The noise of the adjacent high way is magically buffered by the building and the views are great, but the front side is noisy. Also, either you need a car to get around, or you're dependent on a shuttle to get you to the Bart Station (i.e. no spur-of-the moment excursions). The area is not really suitable for walking, as it's industrial, deserted, and feels rather unsafe (I wouldn't walk alone there as a female; with a partner, I felt safe during the day). Also, the distance to the Bart station is not negligible, and there is no alternative to the hotel shuttle. Breakfast is just mediocre, staff is friendly. If you're flexible in terms of transportation, don't mind that you can't walk anywhere, you're ok. But there is no ambience around this building.

Our stop in Oakland was short, just to see a baseball game. Given the hotel options in Oakland, the Best Western was an easy choice. We were pleased with our selection. Five minutes to the stadium. Free parking. Basic business hotel. Coffee and water available 24/7. Clean, large rooms. Computer/printer access. Cooperative front desk.. Safe.

Fantastic room, great amenities , bay view and free breakfast!!!

The hotel and staff were great. The breakfast was very good and Maria the hostess was on top of everything making sure nothing ran out. Hotel has a pleasant view over the water to Alameda. the rooms were good size and we had absolutely no noise. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.
