It's an above average hotel at a great location. Staffs are friendly and rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

Great hotel and super friendly and helpful staff ... best location ... no issues whatsoever

We rented a suite for our wedding. Needless to say, the staff were fantastic, the room gorgeous, and everything else just as neat as you could imagine. The one surprise - if you will - of our stay was the lack of noise insulation. As it is an older hotel/room, I can't really hold it against the hotel, but as it was a suite, the fact that we could hear a crying child next door was slightly surprising. Nothing deal-breaking, but an area for improvement nonetheless!

This vacation was planned for my wife and I. She passed before the time came. Refund policy would not refund the money for the resort. wonderful place and great for couples and family, just a little bit expensive

This is a very nice Resort. All staff are friendly and service is excellent. The only down fall is the cost of the activities, food and things you buy at the stores in and around it. I would have a drink and a small entree at the Mai Tai Bar which would cost $40.00 plus(fish and potatoe chips, chicken wings and veggies with dip) are some of the examples along with one drink. Breakfast buffet $48.00 with tip and drink. It was only me so I just accepted it and learn not to take advantage of it. Can't imagine how a family or a couple would consistently pay those amounts for a week. However it is a choice not a requirement. I stayed in the only tower that has the rooms all facing the ocean. We had the privilege of having cont. breakfast every morning and salad style buffet every evening. This also included all the beer, wine and juice you wanted. This is a very nice and clean Resort. I only one problem with my AC, but it was taken care of immediately and politely. I would highly recommend the Royal Hawaiian to anyone who wants to come to this Island in Hawaii.

I stayed at the Royal Hawaiian for 5 days while attending a conference. It's a really beautiful hotel, and excellently placed for shopping and eating around Waikiki. It's walking distance to the convention center and Diamond Head. I would definitely stay here again. One minor thing that I really loved was that they include toothbrushes and toothpaste among the room amenities. I haven't seen that at other hotels.

My daughters and I spent a wonderful week at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel during Spring Break. The staff was fabulous and helped with everything we ever needed. Fellow visitors from many countries and parts of the USA were gracious and a pleasant part of our experience as well. The location of this hotel is amazing; views of Diamond Head and the beautiful ocean from our room in the Mailani Tower were breathtaking! The lobby and grounds of the The Royal Hawaiian are also simply stunning. I loved the History Tour, too! Beachfront umbrellas each day, delicious food, and spa treatments from extremely talented staff made our vacation the best we could ever ask for!

It is very nice and clean Hotel. Very friendly and helpful personals.

Had an amazing time in Hawaii. Have been there several times, but this Hotel was just amazing. From the beginning when we were greeted with Leis to the helpful valet staff. Check-in was easy and our room was ready. Our luggage was waiting in our room, since we decided to enjoy a mai tai at the bar. The hotel staff was top notch, they were friendly, helpful and made sure we were take care of. We had breakfast at Surf Lanai Restaurant. The pink pancakes were absolutely delicious.

Old but very elegant. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is great. It is a beautiful historical building completely brought up to modern comfort. The beds are so good you will need your alarm to avoid over sleeping. The staff are exceptional and the location is on the best stretch of Waikiki directly on the water. We had dinner at their restaurant Azure. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was exceptional. Not a tourist trap, awesome. Stay there and eat there you won't go wrong!

I chose this hotel because of its quite setting and old-time character. Unfortunately, my room (#230) smelled like damp, the single window could be only partially opened for fresh air (chained to the window frame), the bathroom was very tiny with an even smaller window. No way to dry out garments, I used the hairdryer. No coffee in the room. I was not informed that there was coffee on the main floor, but set in a corner very difficult to see, I found it accidentally while taking a look around. Service at the Mai Tai bar was poor: the pineapple I ordered was served without a saucer, just over ONE napkin underneath.

Royal Hawaiian is a beautiful historic hotel, the staff is top notch, the food is excellent. This was our first trip to Waikiki and we are glad we picked the Royal. We will definitely stay here again.

The Royal Hawaiian is an oasis in the middle of Waikiki. Surrounded by lush vegetation and right on the beach, you can't help but feel relaxed.

memorable and enjoyable. can't wait for the next trip

The hotel is lovely and has easy beach access. The food was fantastic but the staff is really what made a difference. John was our waiter for dinner one evening and couldn't have made it a better experience. Donna server us breakfast 2x and was fantastic. There was another lovely waiter that served breakfast whose name escapes me. I also need to mention the valets. They were warm and always prompt with the car.

The Pink Palace is truly a first rate hotel. Customer service was extraordinary and all aspects of our stay were top notch. We had a small issue with a door lock malfunction, but they moved us into a suite for our trouble. Honestly, from the concierge services to the restaurants, quality and service was the best imaginable. Prices are not in any way inexpensive, but this resort delivered what was promised. The beach was well-tended and clean and the pool area was well maintained, uncrowded, and very relaxing. We were able to get a chaise lounge without problems at any time of day and staff were available to deliver something from the bar, or just ice water if you looked thirsty. Food served by the restaurants was consistently expensive and high quality. Valet service was prompt and friendly. If I had one criticism, it would be the hefty prices. Of course when you spend a lot on a vacation and you are disappointed, that's a very negative experience. No disappointments here. You really should stay here for your next Waikiki vacation.

This hotel is top of the line and lives up to every expectation we had, and more!

Beautiful and worth the price! Staff is wonderful and helpful!

The location and hotel was beautiful. The hotel's backyard was the beach, and that made the ability to relax so convenient and loved having the ocean be in our view. The room could of been cleaner, some areas of the carpet had crumbs and the bed and pillow sheets had these brown spots on them. Though the staff were friendly and changed them. Overall, thank you to the staff and the hotel stay was good. My wife and I had a honeymoon experience we won't forget.
