I stayed at Hotel de la Fontaine for 3 nights and had such a wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — just a few steps from the beach and the famous Promenade des Anglais, and also close to plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops. It’s ideal if you like exploring Nice on foot. My room was not huge but very comfortable, spotless, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was clean and modern. Everything felt well cared for and thoughtfully maintained. The staff were genuinely friendly, always smiling, and happy to help with recommendations or directions. They really made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere of the whole hotel is peaceful and cozy, a perfect little haven in the city. For the price and the location, I think it’s excellent value. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I visit Nice. 🌸

Very nice boutique hotel located close to La Rue Anglais and Old town. Everything was very walkable. Clean well appointed rooms- including updated bathroom with towel warmer. Staff were very friendly and available especially Kurt at the desk. Might suggest reserving an inside facing room because of street noise.

Hotel is located in a wonderful location on a street with many restaurants and shops, and only a few minutes walk to the ocean and promenade. However rooms are tiny and bathroom is miniscule, similar to a ship's cramped quarters. Elevator is the size of a small box, will not fit you and a big suitcase. Staff pleasant but baffled by simple requests such as directions to the train station. House keeping does not do thorough job either. But good for those on a budget who want an excellent location in Nice

I would like to rate the Hotel de la Fontaine, “Very Good”, as it was positioned in an ideal location, central but being set just behind the main promonade of Nice, provided both enough quietness, and at the same time was close to plentiful choice of nice restaurants for dining and nice shops. The hotel staff were all so helpful and attentive both night staff&day staff, and made myself feel very welcome. The Hotel de la Fontaine provided great service at all times and included at request a good breakfast,where you could enjoy eating outside in a peaceful patio area or inside the hotel ,was good value for money. The cleanliness and up keeping of my room was excellent, as the cleanliness of the hotel was throughout. For a relatively small hotel, it delivered very much on warmth and charm, I would be more than happy to stay here again on my next visit to Nice. I would like to thank all the staff for their help and kindness and for providing me with a wonderful stay and holiday in Lovely Nice. Thank you, Merci.

It’s small but has everything you need. The location is great just one block from the ocean. The beach is great. Hotel Manager Kurt was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there. I would recommend it to anyone.

I would go back.

First off, our stay was great. We would definitely use this hotel again. The location of this hotel is perfect. Everything is in easy walking distance. The room was comfortable, good choice of pillows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. These are first world problems but.....aircon made the room so hot it was unbearable. Wardrobe door was skewiff and hard to move. No fridge, I don't think one was advertised to be fair. There was a safe though, which worked well. Breakfast was basic but adequate, small amount of cooked. Cereals, toast and pastries. Yogurts and dried fruit and nuts. Fruit juice, tea and coffee. There was definitely enough. I wouldn't have said my room was 3 star standard, but I certainly didn't care. It was clean and comfortable.
