excellent location , clean rooms , need weather-stripping around door and A/C unit. sink drain was slow. showers need pressure balancing valve. fix these and would be excellent motel. everything else was fine.
location is great, just a few roll to amusement road, parking lot is convenient just in front of our room, it is two storey building and felt like you're just step away to the earth, the room is old but clean and right for the money. would recommend it to anybody.
The location is spectacular as it's in the heart of Clifton Hill (across from the Skywheel). The parking was not sufficient, most likely due to the fact that they rent out their parking to the public. The bathroom lacked the shampoo, conditioner, and soap on the first night but the staff brought it afterwards. The doors are not sufficient to block out the winter cold but the heating should compensate a but for the draft. There is this horrendous music playing from either the haunted house or the upside down house as both are behind the hotel. The music plays from morning into the night. I booked this place mistaking it for Travelodge which is next door. Overall, the price was reasonable.
I thought I was booking travelodge but I was actually booked at the thrift lodge which looks a little more run down. The rooms were average motel rooms nothing fancy. The location is great if you want to be able to park and walk to all the attractions at and around Clifton Hill. I wouldn’t of stayed here if I had my kids with me, but my husband and I were looking for something cheap and easy to just get away, park for the weekend and be able to have a few drinks and not worry about having to drive anywhere or find parking.
We stayed here mostly because of its prime location right in the heart of Clifton Hill, but also because we snagged it for only $59 a night which is insanely inexpensive for the tourist trap that is Niagara Falls. Also, the on site parking for only $10 is a steal. The room was delightfully dated with a full on vintage chesterfield and a view of the back of Pizza Pizza. That said, the room was spacious and clean with no odours. There was a large flat screen tv and the heating was more than adequate. All in all we were delighted with the motel and will definitely be staying here again. Steps from the Sheraton at a fraction of the cost. If you’re feeling adventurous and can appreciate some vintage charm, you won’t find a better deal anywhere in the area. You are literally ON the best part of Clifton Hill and are steps away from everything. The staff was also extremely welcoming and accommodating, even if they didn’t have any glass or ceramics glasses or mugs to replace the plastic ones in the room. Overall an A+ for location, price and adventure.
Came here with my wife for a quick trip to see tje christmas lights being unveiled but that got rained out. The room is very basic and outdated but overall pretty clean. We had a king size bed so plenty of room. The location is perfect for getting around to all the attractions on clifton hill and about a 15 min walk to the falls
When I called to cancel one of my rooms I found out they scheduled me the correct dates at the wrong month of course the prices doubled. They lost my credit card information and called on the phone wanting me to give it to them. When I asked who messed up was told only a manager can find in the computer later I was told different and that it was Frank. When I checked and I asked if the gentleman at the desk was Frank he said no but when I called for the room it was Frank who answered the phone. The rooms were run down in the used household extension plugs which I would imagine is a fire hazard. The check and girl was nice and so were the housekeepers
The hotel is very good located near everything. But is too the most noise hotel you can stay. It's not the place for you go with your family or kids. The rooms are simple and old but clean.
This hotel was exactly what I was expecting. I had read other reviews so I was prepared for the most part. What I was expecting was that the rooms surrounding us and above us were rented to young people who were there at the hotel for the soul purpose of partying. When we realized that there was going to be no quiet or sleep we went to the front desk and they graciously moved us to a more quiet area. These young people made the karaoke sound quiet. All in all the all the stay was enjoyable and what I had expected. It was clean and a place to lay my weary head after full days of exploring Niagara Falls and the surrounding sights. I would recommend this hotel to friends, letting them know in advance what to expect due to the location.
The room was dirty, walls were painted cinder blocks that made you feel you were in prison, carpet looked and felt like that outdoor green carpeting, card had to be programmed 5 times no one told me to keep it away from cell phone until last time I went to office. The floor so uneven I kept tripping over it. Bathroom door kept sticking that my son got stuck in there twice
