the room was not clean at all. the towels were very small. The breakfast was not like in other hotels.

Room was too small. Room was too small. Adding more to this was disturbing

The hotel is run down and dated. Room was adequate size for 2 people but smelled like mildew. Wasn't filthy but not as clean as I would expect. The bed was very hard (which I do not like). Breakfast bar was very disappointing and the only toaster was not working.

Beautiful hotel centralized on my vacation area. There were restaurants, clubs and stores around it. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

and we weren't going to be there much. It wasn't as nice as I had hoped. It felt like a run down property, breakfast was "eh". We certainly get what we pay for. Lesson learned

The hotel sleeping rooms are very small and the AC blows directly on you, we had to put a pillow in front of the AC. The refrigerator is located on the corner of the floor next to the foot of the bed, be carful not to hit your foot on it, because the space is very very small.

The hotel was fine for the price. The staff was friendly and professional. The room were small hence Microtel. I was disappointed with the breakfast or the lack thereof, but all in all, the location was excellent close to a lot of shopping, eateries, airport and my child's college.

We were looking for an affordable night stay, which shouldn't be difficult in Newport News. We paid $90, which apparently was a deal. It took the front desk about 15 minutes to find us a room that we had already reserved. On the way to our room we passed the central, private hotel laundry room with doors wide open and laundry scattered on the floor everywhere (major nasty turn off). Once in our room we discovered floors that needed to be vacuumed and a bathroom with no towels, to which they don't desk replied, Sorry, we ran out you'll have to wait for the laundry to finish. The bed was comfortable but after witnessing the nasty laundry room, I had a tough time believing I was in a clean bed. Won't be staying here again. Oh, and you're not allowed to bring the continental breakfast back to your room.

Great value for the money, great stay at great price.

The hotel was located in a very nice part of New Port News. It was easy to get around to all of the places of interest in town. It was in walking distance of shopping and dining. The hotel clerk was extremely nice and very helpful. We had a great time. The hotel was quiet. The only small concern, was the location of the refrigerator and microwave. That was a little inconvenient, but I have no suggestion as to how to improve it.

The staff was very friendly and hotel located in great location.

They were very helpful had a nice stay with no problems rooms were clean an I like fact that's it close to the mall an other things todo around there

I wanted a place to stay that was safe, inexpensive, clean, and friendly. This hotel served the bill. The staff provided great customer service. I especially liked that they offered coffee at all times.

Staff very helpful to make sure room met our needs.

Of course I was hoping for "a great deal", but no, it wasn't a deal...for $40 we got what we paid for. The room was extremely small (smallest I've ever seen) and smelled bad. The bedding looked old/dingy, and the room wasn't very visually appealing. The lobby was also under contruction, so the floor was a raw concrete hazard for those who are prone to tripping, However, the front desk staff was quite nice. And the location is nice too...right across from the mall and other stores.

Staff was very nice and the price was great very convenient close by everything too

Just as good as the 1st time time, room was small but nice and staff was great

The front desk staff was extremely helpful, friendly and professional (i,e.gave great recommendations for restaurants). The housekeeping staff attended to our requests quickly (i.e. extra pillow; cleaning our room). When we first entered the room we were amazed at how small it was but then later decided it was cozy and very well organized, effecient. The room made me think of being on a cruise ship. The room we were in is in the process of being remodeled and had the new carpeting and flat screen tv already in it. This room definitely needs the bed linens updated. In additon to recarpeting all the rooms we were told and saw it with our eyes that they are replacing the mattresses and bed linen as well as getting new window treatments(the black-out curtains are great). Hopefully, on our next visit we will get to stay in a remodeled unit. The microwave and fridge worked great, too. This motel is very quiet and we felt safe. The location is ideal. Just a couple of blocks to the exit for Rt.64 and one block from Jefferson Hwy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it family and friends :)

The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The rooms are only big enough for one person to fit comfortable.

I don't think I've ever written a hotel review before, but I felt compelled after staying here. One of the worst places I've stayed at in a long time. I've probably stayed at worse places, but I knew about it going in (and the price was dirt cheap too). For the money we paid, which we could have stayed elsewhere for the same money, it was terrible. Worn-out furniture. Dirty carpeting. And one of our kids got lice shortly after staying there. Can we prove he got the lice there? No, of course not, but I don't believe in coincidences any more at my age.
