The building is located near two subway stations, the queens plaza and the 39 Av. Around the area you can find some markets with good price, most of the with Latins friendly persons (I recommend L.I.C. Deli & Grocery mini market) and also there’s some restaurants that serve great food one of them is Juquila Bar & Lounge with a greattttt Mexican food. Is a very calm place with respectful people and also is a beautiful street. At this moment there’ two constructions near the area, but you can’t hear them in the night.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff is so accommodating and very professional. The rooms are great and very clean. The location is very convenient. This will definitely be my go to hotel in Long Island city.

very modern, very clean hotel with a good continental breakfast. The front desk staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a subway ride to tourist attractions but not too bad. We enjoyed out stay.

we booked the hotel in February at a really convenient rate and we were a little bit scary since there was only a few reviews at that time. Once we have been there it has been everything positive. the rooms are completely new with everything needed including hairdryer and safe. the breakfast was good and big enough and the staff is really friendly. Last but not least very close to different subway lines and you can be in 15 minutes in the middle of Manhattan. If you come back to New York, and we find similar rates, we will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Microtel in Long Island City during Easter week was excellent. The staff was attentive to our needs and gave excellent local recommendations for restaurants in the area that were within walking distance of the hotel. They also were very helpful in giving tips on navigating the subway system into the city. Our inbound flight arrived very early in the morning and they were able to accommodate us with an early check-in so that we could rest before our first foray into the city. The area around the hotel is largely office buildings, parking garages and a couple of other hotels. It's not a residential area-that's about 3 blocks back from the hotel. We were frequently arriving back at the hotel late in the evening between 10:30-midnight and never felt unsafe while walking from the metro station. The street was quite and while we could hear the trains passing by at the end of the block, the noise was not bothersome, nor did it keep us up at night. The room was spacious for NYC- two queen size beds, wardrobe, and desk attached to the wall. It was appointed with a large flat screen television with a variety of channels. The bathroom was full sized and well appointed with modern fixtures. The bedding was nice, the beds were comfortable. The towels were plentiful. We utilized the complimentary breakfast and it was adequate for getting us ready for the day (bagels, muffins, pastries, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, a variety of breads, coffee, hot tea, milk, and juices. While there were no hot options at breakfast, we found it enough to get us going for the day and held us until lunch in the city.

Would like to give this property more stars. It is newly opened, bright, modern, pleasing decor, and the front office staff are engaging, professional and friendly. It is also well priced, for a reasonable sized room in New York. Nice bed and linen. Whilst it is near by 2 MTA (Subway) stations, and you can be in Times Square in 20 minutes, the area around the hotel has little to offer. The elevated railways around the hotel are very noisy. It is a semi-industrial area of Queens. Few eating options and even fewer convenience store options. On one side is a homeless women’s shelter and on the other is a homeless men’s shelter. Sadly, as in many places in America, you will encounter people with mental illness as treatment options aren’t present as in other westernised countries. The area is dirty and unappealing although several budget brands of major hotels are opening in the neighbourhood. Hot water in the room is problematic and takes up to 10 minutes to arrive. There is absolutely zero hanging points for bath towels. Why such an omission in a brand new hotel? Breakfast is included and is basic but appreciated. Toast. Cereal. Few pieces of fresh fruit. What cannot be forgiven nowadays in any hotel, let alone a new one, is poor WiFi. It is painfully slow so much so that you just give up trying to access the internet. Cannot believe this has happened in a new build. We mentioned the internet was slow to the front desk and were told “yeah, we get that a lot”. I suspect that was code for it’s not going to get any better. It’s a shame. Could have been better.

Very close to the metro station, rooms perfectly cleaned and very spacious, hotel just built. But one negative point : The breakfast, not a lot of choices and everything disposable (cup, plates...) Nothing more to say. We had a great trip in NYC.

Rock star service and cleanliness. Easy access to the subway station. Extremely clean rooms. Continental breakfast is as expected. Price is very very good compared to other hotels around. Highly recommend

Very good Motel. Very good people and very clean rooms...Would defiantly stay again. Breakfast was limited. Should add some hot items. Other than that everything was great. They got good restaurants near by delivery and pickup available. Love New York and New Yorkers...

My friends and I stayed 4 nights at Microtel, Long Island City. Friendly, helpful staff; continental breakfast; clean; updated style; convenient access to subway lines. I'd definitely stay here again!
