the location was ok, not too far from the train. However the staff is not very responsive, it took me 30 mins to check in and there were only 2 people in front of me. staff had no sense of urgency and the lobby has limited seating. Staff also denied request to have a 12 pm checkout.
The property is new and fairly well kept. The rooms are a bit on the small side and had a few minor signs of wear and tear (the vinyl planking floor in our room was starting to separate and needed fixed). The location is a short walk from the subway. It’s not the absolute greatest part of the city, but we felt relatively safe walking around a night. Overall the price was a bargain in an expensive city like NYC.
Good
Stayed here 2 years ago and it was great. This time was another story. The floor was dirty, the sheets had a questionable stain on them and the shower hot water barely worked. Will not be returning.
Great location for my needs and reasonable price, but limited parking. Requested a wake up call, but never received one. “Free breakfast” images showed good selection of items; received bag of processed carbs instead. Even with COVID-19, other companies have provided much better than this. Like most hotels, hair dryer not suitable for curly mops. Remember to bring your own diffuser!
Easy access to shopping area.
Reservation through Orbitz was horrible.. Orbitz doesn't tell you there's a 100 refundable fee through the hotel.
The rooms are nice but small. Room wasn’t cleamed before arrival. Coffee machine broken. Thermostat complicated but no instructions. No microwave in rooms. Some staff friendly, some rude. I had to request fresh towels each day. No breakfast despite advertisement.
My room was close to ice machine, first floor, and doors not sound proof, too noisy.
Room was amazing clean and comfortable, breakfast was ok but the people on charge of it was very nice and helpful specially ( Dominican one ) The only one complaint was that I forgot my flip flops on top of garbage basket and housekeeping tossed 😢 in the garbage dunno why she did that was very clean ones
The location is excellent. You can take a metro on the Prospect Avenue and get wherever you want to go in the city. But, please be aware that Orbitz advertised this hotel as free parking provided. This is not the case. No hotels in Brooklyn have free parking. This hotel has limited parking for $30 per day.
