Lovely boutique style hotel. Quirky decor.

Nothing the place looks like it had better days old and delapidadated

We stayed at this 'boutique' hotel over Presidents Day (also Mardi Gras) February 2022. To say that this hotel in a faded glory would be an understatemen. Our room was listed as a suite. The only thing resembling a suite was the size of the room. No amenities whatsoever. Not even coffee or bottled water. Coffee was available in the lobby. The only lighting in the living room was a dilapidated chandelier at the entrance. Many of its lights were burned out making it impossible to work at the desk on the far side of the room. No closet space in the bedroom. The closet was located in the living room. Bath soap was at a minimum and we had to call housekeeping for more on our second day, The room was barely cleaned. Dust and trash from the previous occupants could be seen under the couch. Called down for a rubberized shower mat...never arrived. Called three times before we were told there were none, but they were 'back ordered'. Made arrangements with the front desk for a cab at 5 a.m. the day we were leaving. That morning, we went downstairs, no arrangements had been made for a cab. The night representative was very helpful in getting us a cab. While waiting for the cab, a homeless person came in to the lobby and helped himself to some coffee and sat down to enjoy it. The website listed the bar opening at 4pm. The barman insisted 5pm until we showed him the website. He told us the website had not been updated for 2 years. Valet service was 4 blocks away. The price we paid for our

It was definitely an amazing experience. Next time I’m in the city I’ll definitely be staying back at this hotel !

Very clean and convenient. The staff was very accommodating

I normally have nothing but great things to say about my stay at this hotel however this time is a bit different. Unlike my previous stays we had to pay for early check-in, normally if the room is available upon arrival we’re allowed to check in no problem this time we were charged. We get back to the room after a long day and pull back the comforter to find a dead bug of some sort we get new sheets and move along. The following days the water pressure for the hot water was so low we could barely shower. They sent someone up in the midst of us getting ready so I asked for them to return later, that did not happen. I’m not sure I’d give them another try after this. The staff is always pleasant however not having the few amenities available was frustrating especially since they don’t offer a whole lot. IMO You can find a better value at another hotel or even an Airbnb especially since COVID keep the hotel from providing housekeeping anyway.

The location was pretty much perfect for Mardi Gras. You're 2 blocks from the parade and French Quarter, but also not right in the middle of the madness, in case you're the type who needs to beat a retreat sometimes. Staff was super friendly and willing to spend time chatting with you. Great view! The RockRose restaurant is great and one of the nation's 100 best brunch places is a block away. A short walk to the WWII Museum. My only complaint... it was my first trip to the deep south, and I hadn't realized there were Americans who weren't addicted to coffee -- there was no way to make coffee/tea in the room. On the other hand, it's been good to break the addiction a bit.

The staff were very friendly and it was a beautiful hotel! I would most certainly go back!!!

Character of an older hotel, but trendy, comfortable vibe.

Lots of history and feeling of elegance there. Some areas under construction but did not cause problems, Morning Coffee was great in lobby. Clerks at desk always helpful and friendly.
