Bed bugs. Do I need to say more. Here is a pic, we stayed in hotel 2 days got eaten alive took cover off bed found huge blood stain and lots of carcasses. Manager was unavailable for several hours till she finally showed up with food for herself, blew us off , knowing we were leaving at the time.... hotel looks nice but don't be fooled.... and had the nerve to tell another guest we must have brought them there. REALLY now that's customer service....
Even though this hotel is going under a renovation process the hotel was maintaining a clean atmosphere. Michelle was absolutely amazing. She provided us with a lot of local information. We were attending the Wrestlemania and didn't know much about the area. Even though she was pretty new to the hotel industry, she did a great job helping us along with other customers from what I could see. We left early each morning so we did not get a chance to try breakfast. Only downfall was the walls are paper thin and we could hear the TV's on both sides of us...even snoring. Room was very clean, loved the new carpet smell. Great job Michelle.
Hotel was nice, staff was very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and fresh. It was a bit of a drive to get to New Orleans, which we didn't notice when we booked. Got great rate on the room. Stores and restaurants nearby.
The room was clean, very comfortable for 4 plus a baby. Breakfast had a nice selection. Fresh waffles was a plus. Housekeeping was attentive when we needed them. Front desk was friendly enough, with a little bit of it’s-been-a-long-day attitude. Nothing looks outdated, they’re under remodel and I’m assuming I was in an updated room. Would definitely choose to stay here if came again.
My wife and I had the worst experience ever coming to this Comfort Inn. We stayed for 4 nights, and when we left, we forgot my wife's coat and my jacket. After about 6 hours we noticed that, and I called Comfort Inn. They told us nothing in your room, and there is no coat or jaket, and they were so apathetic in the way they spoke to me. My wife and I are 100% sure the coat and the jacket were in the room. If the items were not that expensive, imagine what kind of precious items or any other valuables they may take from your room. What was the most annoying to us is we called the customer service of "Choice Hotels" who manage Comfort Inn, and they said they cannot do anything since the hotel is a family business. I'm a GOLD member of "Choice Hotels" and I spent thousands of dollars in nights stay at Comfort Inn, and now they said we do not believe you and we cannot help you!
Visited New Orleans for 2 nights and decided to stay at Comfort Inn Marrero. Not a bad decision. We booked through Hotels.com a few days before. Staff was very friendly at checking in. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was okay. Bath was a bit wierd, cause hot and cold water was switched around. But it was not a problem.
This is the most comfortable hotel we have stayed in during our two week traveling trip. The beds are heavenly, the rooms clean, pleasant and quiet, the breakfast is superb, and most of all the staff is super friendly! The location is close enough to all the cool New Orleans things to see. Was sad to leave this place to continue our journey.
We decided to stay here because of the overall good ratings, and were quite disappointed when we checked into our room. Someone else's food was still on the floor, hair in the tub, green shampoo rings (the shampooo the hotelbprovides is clear) in the tub. Dirt on the walls, thick dudt in plain site on the outlet near the night stand. Dust on the hair dryer holder. Multiple stains on the bedspreads. Food/drink on the ice bin lid. The door had to be slammed to shut it, and left a gap you could see through into the hall. And they "fixed" a gap in the hallway wall with foam that was sprayed in and left to drip fown the wall and dry. Yes, we notified staff. We got clean bedspreads, nothing else. Very disappointing.
Although this motel comes up in the directory under NO, it is a five mile drive from the French Quarter but much much cheaper than the in-city motels. Another nice place with clean rooms but it still needs staffing. The only lights available in the room were table lamps and a floor lamp and two of the table lamps did not work, but were fixed when reported. The first morning we noticed some water on the floor and thought we had made a mess and cleaned it up. While we were preparing to leave on the second morning the water began to flow from beneath the sink. We stemmed the flow with a trash can and towels and reported the problem as we checked out. The same breakfast was provided both mornings and it was a marginal breakfast buffet as Comfort Inns go. This is not an area to find an evening meal beyond fast food, although we did find a locals fish & shrimp place.
We stayed here for a trip to New Orleans, as it was a lot cheaper than staying in the city and located a short drive away. When we checked in it was very late and we had three different rooms reserved, had to split the bills between families, and needed extra bedding. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with all of these requests and made everything really easy for us. Plus, the rooms were clean and the hotel was in generally good shape.
