The Hilton Canopy is located within easy walking distance (4-5 blocks) from Canal Street and the French Quarter, also lots of restaurants. The area right around the hotel is quite rundown and there's a lot of construction. The intersection leaving the hotel was a little dangerous and difficult to cross on foot. You would not be able to walk in the opposite direction from the Quarter because of the highway and large homeless encampment over there. We did love that it's only a few blocks to catch the St Charles street car at St Charles & Common. The room was spacious and nice, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was large. There was a strange "refrigerator" located inside a drawer but it wasn't large enough to hold much and it did not keep drinks cold. There is a hydration station on the floor with water and ice which was nice. The only real drawback was lack of downstairs staff. There was often a long line of people trying to check in with only one person helping them and taking a very long time to assist, so it was difficult to find anyone to help when you needed it. Actually the one main lady at the check-in desk was slow and extremely unhelpful almost like she was trying to hold up things as much as possible. But most of the other people were good. The people working the door of the lobby nicely held our bags the morning of departure then scheduled a cab for us. We had a nice stay but might look elsewhere next time.

This was a complete last minute stay and we were so happy we went to Canopy! We had issues at a previous hotel and stumbled across the Canopy, walked in spoke with Lilo at the front desk and she was so sweet and professional. We booked a room within minutes. The hotel was super clean, helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. Also the room was spacious enough for our stay. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel! I would stay here again on my next trip to New Orleans definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay. Staff was great and loved my suite. Would definitely visit again !

Super convenient location! It’s just a 10-15 minute walk to French Quarter and Bourbon St. It’s a new property so it has nice, modern touches throughout.

Rooms were clean and front staff was Pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is in walking distance to Bourbon Street lots of great restaurants nearby.

Place is dirty, found condom wrappers in the room, which tells me that the room has not been cleaned in a while. Front desk is rude and useless

Cleaned but they never made the room while we were staying has to always ask for supplies at front desk

While the hotel location is extremely convenient (close to Bourbon Street, local restaurants, etc.) and pretty modern (except the weird flooring), I am disappointed at the lack of response from staff. Housekeeping service is by request these days in many hotels and considering the hit that the hotel business/employees took during the pandemic, I would think that if the service is being requested the request would be fulfilled in an effort to promote job security. Especially during a time where Airbnb rentals are in high demand. That being said, I called and requested house keeping service a total of FIVE times. Each time they told me someone would come clean the room and each time I came back to no service provided. The last phone call I made to complain of the lack of service, the garbage pile up, and NO TOILET PAPER left I was told someone from management would be in contact with me regarding the inconvenience. I am now back home and STILL have not received any follow up phone call. Very disappointing and a poor reflection of the establishment.

Brand new property. Staff was friendly and helpful. I check in late but was still greeted with a smiling face from the valet to the front desk.

Safe and clean

I understand the property is new and they're working out the kinks, but some of the issues seem like they should have been figured out before paying guests arrived. We could hear every word spoken by the family in the room next door. We were told that the hotel was going to reinforce the walls so that wouldn't happen in the future, but that didn't help us at all. The lights didn't work in one of the elevators - it was dark inside, the lights in the main part of our room didn't work, the motion lights in the bathroom were hard to make turn on, there was no hot water in the faucet (shower pressure and hot water in the shower were great, though), there were black stains on the shower floor that we thought was because it wasn't cleaned, but it was caulking or paint, and two of the ceiling panels were not attached. When we told the staff, they were very nice and took notes and said it was helpful for future guests, but we were the guests right then and paid a lot of money for a not great stay.
