I recently stayed at this hotel, and my late-night check-in experience was extremely disappointing. The night receptionist didn’t greet me or make any effort at basic hospitality. Instead of asking for information, she simply said, “Name? Address? Phone number? Card for deposit,” in a very blunt, rushed tone. It felt more like filling out a form than checking into a hotel, and the interaction came across as rude and dismissive.
What made me even more uncomfortable was that when she handed back my card, she flipped it so the card numbers were facing directly upward toward the camera above us. This felt careless and unprofessional, and it made me question how secure my information was.
I strongly recommend evaluating who is working the night shift, because if someone cannot handle direct guest interaction with even minimal courtesy or awareness, they should not be in a hospitality position. It was genuinely the worst check-in interaction I’ve experienced.
On a positive note, the morning staff at checkout were very friendly and professional, and I appreciated their kindness.
