Hotel was dark and dumpy. Bedding was wrinkled and it's a very old hotel needs updating badly

I only booked at this hotel because They had a pool, which was Very important to me. The heat was broken making it unusable. Nothing was done to accommodate me. I stayed 3 nights for a business conference. I like being comfortable. I left a nice gratuity the first day for housekeeping requesting 2 extra coffee packets for the morning. They never filled that request. Was going to use jacuzzi but there were dirty towels laying everywhere...

Room was dingy and run down. Immediate area surround the hotel is a touch seedy as well. Staff were really friendly but I think the hotel is overpriced considering multiple factors.

Short stay - comfortable, clean! Would use again. Good location, good breakfast

The Clarion Hotel is the most convenient when staying in Hamden. The lobby was going through a much needed renovation. But the rooms were clean and spacious. I would stay there again.

My family stay at this hotel could've been better! When I ordered the room online it said the hotel had a cafe in it! Once we all got there the lobby area was closed off due to maintenance and they no longer had a cafe in their hotel! There was no refrigerator or microwaves in the rooms as they said. I think it was a lot of false advertising!!

Hotel was Ok for business but would not bring family.Location is good but overall condition is tired and needing upgrading.

The hotel was easily accessible from the highway and close to our destination. The hotel staff were very nice but it was noisy in our room, pipes banging sounds at night.i it would have been nice to have coffee available before 630 am for early risers.

I had an good time at the Clarion in Hamden. The room was large, quiet and clean. The staff was wonderful and the location was perfect. I have stayed there before and I will be staying with them again.

I recently spent two nights at this hotel. Frequent travelers know a tired hotel - peeling paint, water stains, frayed and stained carpeting are all evidence of maintenance delayed or deferred. There is a lack of competition in the area which may contribute to overpriced rooms and minimal value.

This was a trip for a family emergency, not for pleasure or business, so details didn't matter so much. However, I felt the $6 cost of the offered continental breakfast should have been included with the room. Also, the room itself didn't have enough electrical outlets--in order to plug in a particular lamp (over an easy chair) one would have had to unplug another item; the coffee maker was not placed near an outlet, etc. Also, I could have used firmer pillows--all were very soft. Otherwise, the room was spacious, well appointed & well cleaned.

I didn't enjoy the noise at this hotel or the unfortunate wake-up at 5:30am by a drunk person. I stayed at the hotel over a Saturday night and there were several large groups of teen-age baseball players there. It was exceedingly noisy as they ran up and down the halls well past midnight. The other issue is that I was woken up at 5:30am by someone trying to get into my room. Granted, this happens at other establishments, but it put a pall on my stay. Finally, there was free breakfast included in my stay, but no one mentioned it when I checked in.

We stayed at the Clarion for the Yale graduation weekend. We were quite dismayed by the rather loud group of individuals staying in our section (at the back of the hotel) who were apparently part of a youth baseball tournament group.
