The Wi-Fi was a bit meh - at 2pm, rideshare apps wouldn't work, so I just started walking to my destination until I found a connection. When I got back from the concert I had no problems using my phone for videos or watching livestreams. Could have just been heavy usage when I got there at 2? I had an upstairs room with a king bed, it was spacious and clean, love a microwave & glass shower doors! The picture quality on the TV was low, but fine for backgrounds ambiance. I wasn't given any instructions on how to check out, and they don't have a Dropbox for key cards. The lobby was locked, around 8am when I left, so I had to buzz them for service. Not an issue at all, just something to note. I'd stay here again if I was in the area.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the housekeeping staff began making excessive noise at 6am on a Sunday morning, demonstrating a lack of respect. Vacuuming commenced at 9:40am, which was equally disturbing. The TV reception was poor, displaying a fuzzy and blurry picture. Fortunately, I had two laptops with an HDMI cord, enabling us to watch movies via my laptop. The room lacked a view, overlooking only woods. The motel's clientele appeared to be experiencing hardship, and I felt uneasy, particularly when a stranger opened my door, which I had left slightly ajar for my boyfriend. I strongly advise against staying at this motel.

The employee who checked us in and out was kind and did fine. It was the room and surrounding area. Didn’t feel like it was a safe place. The front desk has glass/ plastic shield. Hallways and stair were dirty. Windows were screwed shut. Just wasn’t a good stay.

Hotels.com really needs to better vet hotels, like the Whitney Inn, which have a significant number of full-time subsidized residents. I'm not particularly bothered by this practice but it could easily make some people, like young families, uncomfortable as residents often just stare at guests from open room doors. Others smoke and litter the parking lot with cigarettes. I found one resident looking into my car as I came down in the morning.I asked what he was doing and he took off. Some other oddities: there is no elevator access to the second level (or I was simply not shown one) and the room came with a flat screen TV which was only receiving an analog signal. I don't think I've grainy color TV in 20 years. The desk chair was broken; leaning back was risky... On the plus side - the room was very clean and fairly comfortable. The price was low and it's conveniently located - especially for anyone who likes to jog/ bike/walk - the beautiful Farmington Canal Trail passes right behind it.

The room was was large and clean. Although advertised breakfast was not offered. Outside of building could use some work, and windows definitely could be cleaned. Hallway had a musty odor but the rooms were okay. Solid value for the price.

Great price, great location, great room!

The outside of this hotel might not look like much but the rooms inside are surprisingly nice- especially for the price!! The bed was very comfortable and everything looked updated/modernized! My only complaint is that there was some light stains on the bedding- but I’d attribute that to regular aging/wear&tear and not cleanliness. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice affordable stay in the New Haven area!

Hotel was gone for what I needed it for. However in the 4 day stay they never made the beds or changed the sheets. Plus they need to get better towels. They were terrible. I could not dry pff after my shower. Tell them go to Costco and buy new ones. They were so thin and small it was ridiculous.
