New haven Village suites - was shady at best. I booked a king bed suite. The room that I got had a Queen bed and also smelled of Marijuana. After some complaints and showing 3 others rooms - with again Queen beds, I decided to cancel my reservation. As a saving grace the receptionist said he can upgrade my booking to a penthouse, which I agreed to. The breakfast was OK. I saw too many shady characters roaming around the place. I wouldn't recommend this place to others. Better off sticking to some hilton or best -western or other well known places.

I had no issues what so ever; they were very accommodating even with our late check in. Only minor issues was parking.

The pictures are of updated rooms and deceiving. Our room was very dirty, especially the floors. The rooms were spacious but had stains all over the carpet and countertops. The kitchen was not updated as it was in the pictures. We didn't want to touch anything in the room and would have found a different hotel, but we arrived late at night.

I reserved a king size bed and we were given 2 doubles. The hotel staff said it was Orbitz fault. We don't care who's fault, just fix it. The room was beat up looking. Wifi was spotty and didn't always work. The directions for connection left on the desk didn't match what the front counter said to do. I needed this wifi for work connection. We had to park fairly far away due to crowded parking lot.

Nice accommodations. Easy access to major roadways. Convenient to downtown venues and shoreline.

The water in the room has a restricted temperature on it so it only got up to barely lukewarm. They didn't restrict the temperature on the sinks, so I was able to tell how hot the water could get had they not installed the restriction with the stop limit device in the shower. I understand you want to save money, however both me and my husband couldn't take showers as the water was just too cold. Would not recommend.

Stayed in the Penthouse suite... pleased with the room and staff. Will stay again.

Our daughter is a college student in New Haven so we try to get to see her as often as we can. This was the first time staying at this hotel. It is a little old but they are doing a lot of improvements to update it. There is some construction going on but it should be done by end of spring. It was a little out of the way of downtown but in a quiet area. The front staff was very helpful and nice. I would stay there again.

You probably should be aware that this hotel practices UNSCRUPULOUS behavior. I've stayed with this hotel a number of times. But after my last stay they charged my credit card a $250 fee. I called to inquire and they state they placed the charge on my card because the housekeeper smelled smoke in my room. I DO NOT SMOKE NOR HAVE I EVER!! Not to mention I've stayed here over 15 times this year due to work. So why this stay was I charged for a mysterious smoker???? And to top it all off the location is undergoing a renovation in which the place is a big eye sore.

Such a great value! The room was spacious and comfortable. Every staff member was friendly and helpful housekeeping did an excellent job. While the location is a bit industrial, it was quiet and I felt safe. While it is not located where you could leave your room and stroll to a restaurant or bar, that was not something we required. The complimentary shuttle available was a bonus and would happily drive you uptown. We found the location very convenient, close to the airport, train station and easy to access uptown. Would happily stay there again.

It was reasonable and clean but old and needs updating. Also not too near things

Yes it was great! clean and comfortable! I would deff recommend this to a friend in the future!

The hotel is great! I needed something close to the medical building next door and it is literally next door, and they allowed me to stay in the parking lot instead of moving my car. If you don't need the Medical building, it is still in a great spot for many reasons. It is very close to the highway and to downtown with historic, scenic and shopping areas. It is close to the park and the Light house in New Haven. The Room being a suite also had a fireplace, nice sitting area with couch and TV, a full kitchen, comfortable bed and a very clean bathroom if you need a romantic getaway. I have stayed here before and the staff each time has been helpful in suggesting eating places and things to do. They do offer a breakfast included, but not if you have allergies. Also, if you have a hard time climbing stairs, makes sure that you ask for a ground level room, because there are no elevators, the rooms are all single entry from the outside, but there is parking close by and even disabled parking for those who need it. I would certainly go back and would suggest that others make this a stop on their trip

The perfect location if you desire to be near the Universities or either downtown. Interstate within a mile, Easy on easy off. The hotel could use an update/refresh. But they more than make up for it with Great Customer service. Kwame and Patricia(?) are wonderful.

I loved the hotel experience, it gas a lot to offer. I think that the staff should all have a uniform policy, to know who is who

Cozy and convenient. Fireplace is awesome feature. Breakfast is delicious.

Great location. Close to Yale and other Universities. Right off 95. Restaurants close by. Rooms include a full kitchen if you want to prepare your own. Comfy bed. My only complaint would be that the hotel could use a update. But it's still a winner. Good customer service.

Great value. Location couldn't be better. Very close to Yale and downtown area. Directly off highway. Good customer service. The place could definitely use a renovation on the inside.

I was extremely satisfied with the staff and the service. the room was beautiful and clean. It smelled fresh too. I was excited to see the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, pots, pans and silverware. The fireplace and comfort was an added bonus. Lastly waking up to an continental breakfast was such a delight. I would definently recommend this place.

Excellent location and services. Stayed during last snow storm. Fireplace was nice feature as well.
