I Loved it here. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The suite that I stayed in was very clean with a balcony and oceanfront view. I cannot express how much I Love it here!!! I suggest that you gain all inclusive access, the food is amazing and the setting is beautiful. The atmosphere is calming, relaxing, harmonious. They have another site “Legends” that they offer free shuttle rides to, yet I didn’t go, many of their guests came to Sam Sara and wished they had picked it instead. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have received such great hospitality from this wonderful resort. I highly recommend this resort 10/10.

I stayed at samsara back in 2016. Loved every bit of it. But upon my recent stay in may of 2023. I realized it needs minor repairs. I usually stay at all inclusive 5 star resorts but when I want the real Jamaican feeling I stay at these kind of hotels. The bungalows needs renovations. The ac was not pumping. Throughout the day the fan was blowing hot air. The toilet wouldn’t flush. And it was running for the duration of my trip. Samsara can easily be a 4 star with the proper care.
The staff and service were great. Food was cooked with pride by individual chefs. Consider the food "home cooking". Plan on a 2 hour shuttle bus from the airport. I raised a concern to the property manager about tourist boats coming TOO close to the snorkeling area. One boat came dangerously close to my wife!
So for this property we choose the all inclusive option. It was different from a regular all inclusive. Food was only available within breakfast, lunch and dinner time....which isn't good if you have kids. Plus who gives burger and chicken sandwhich only as lunch option. Pros of staying, property is quite, rooms are very clean, sfaff friendly. Ocean view is breathtaking, met some wonderful peeps.
The place is beautiful, clean and comfortable but what really stood out for me was the staff. They were excellent. Super helpful, accommodating and friendly.
This property must be the worse in Jamaica, please please do not waste your money. whoever did their website did an amazing job showing blue sea, but what they fail to show, that this property is surrounded by RACKS AND DEEP DEEP WATER, NO SAND OR BEACH. They have a shuttle bus that take you to the beach and you are left their all day, if you want to come back to the hell hole (motel) you have to pay a taxie. If you want a fridge in your room it's a daily charge, of $12 USD per day. My holiday was the worse vacation I have ever taken to Jamaica, this property is not a hotel but a Motel 6 or worse, again please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, must say staff try really hard with a smile to give you some what of a pleasant stay. All the visitors feel their pain for working in this hell hole motel.
Whenever they cleaned the room they removed all of the towels, used or not, even ones that were bought but wouldn’t replace them. I’d have to go to the front desk for towels then they wouldn’t clean the room, so my room was cleaned maybe twice in a week’s time
This one was tricky. Samsara has a good location on the West End. The grounds offer lush vegetation & amazing views! My upper floor room was decent & basic... no iron & ironing board, no mini fridge. But the Balcony Views more than make up for those minor inconveniences! You can see Snorkelers out for a swim in the early mornings and wave to boats carrying folks up to Rick's. Samsara offers plenty of lounge chairs & cabana beds for ultimate relaxation. Massage services are available too! The Staff was pleasant with a willingness to resolve any issues. Food choices were good. I enjoyed the Breakfast & Dinner Buffet options and fell in Love with the Corn Porridge 💛 The property has a recently remodeled section that I hear is very nice... I upgraded and stayed 1 nite their Oceanview Superior Rm... (again) the room itself is nothing special but, I'm sold on the 2-level outside terrace deck! Its proximity to the pool & bar sold me - can't wait to book this rm for my next "reach"! Special Shout Outs to; Mgr Nester, Jennifer,/Front Desk Karlene/Housekeeping, & Tina/Wait Staff ♡
Samsara is a great hotel located on the cliffs with plenty of rocks to jump off into the ocean! Tina is the best bartender/server around she remembers your name and what you like! Sadly, Wine is not included they charge a lot for a bottle or glass, go across the street to the market to get wine for less than half of hotel price! Omar will take you wherever you need to go and is super helpful! Overall an amazing experience, tons of beach chairs to relax on and a free ride to 7 mile beach, where you can enjoy the included drinks or food and lay in the calm ocean or white sand! Highly recommend!
The property is beautiful and well kept however the rooms could use some upgrades. Our garden view room did not have a refrigerator nor ice bucket which meant we had to walk to the restaurant every time we wanted ice or a cool drink. Simple amenities such as a iron and refrigerator would have been a nice touch. The food at the restaurant was good but very highly priced in USD. When i tried to pay in Jamaican currency i was told they preferred USD, i was even told they were unable to charge my "American" card in Jamaican currency which i KNEW was untrue. $40-50 USD a night just for dinner for 2 is very expensive over the course of a few days which is why we and alot of others resulted in getting boxed food from local restaurants. I was also disappointed in some amenities such as the infinite pool not being open to us during our stay but when visiting the resort a week prior, i saw numerous guest enjoying and utilizing the pool. The views and sunsets from this resort are amazing, i hope the resort pulls that energy inward. One ❤

I had all I needed in this resort. Love the cliff instead of beach. The personnel was helpful. The view is beautiful. The restaurant options were greta and the location very convenient.

The front desk people were nice. The bar tender was horrible the wait staff we’re terrible not friendly or nice. The all inclusive options isn’t worth the money. The food was terrible. The property need a little updating. Won’t recommend it to any of my friends.

We are saddened to hear that despite our efforts to make you feel comfortable, you did not have a positive experience. In all fairness, your room came equipped with a free refrigerator that you were not charged for. Samsara is clearly described as being located on the west end cliffs of Negril, not on the 7 mile beach. We hope you find a hotel more to your liking next time. Thank you for your visit.
