The resort is right on the cliffs it was very quite and private. The amount of rooms as compared to the space was wonderful.

The resort is right on the cliffs it was so quite and private. The resort has a great ratio for rooms compared to space it was wonderful.

We were a group of four. First impression was wonderful. The front desk was great the grounds were clean, the rooms and buildings could use a little updating but when we vacation we are only in the rooms for a short period. We were pleased with that. The cliffs were beautiful along with the water. Where this place lacks and why we left neutral overall is the the waitstaff is horrible they had bad attitudes and no clue how to keep people happy. The restaurant staff was unorganized and grumpy. The Bar staff sucked. You try to hold any conversation w them and they looked at you like you were not worth their time or energy. If you did get a response from the woman bartender it was usually not friendly... I only ate 2x at the restaurant and bought 3 drinks from the bar because of how they treated us. Much nicer people out and about in the entire town of Negril. The Front desk was Great The security guys were Awesome and friendly, The house keeping ladies were superior and the grounds keepers made us feel like family... no real complaints other than the waitstaff. I have to say i would love to go back to this resort but i will not because of the waitsatff. Really sucks because its an awesome location.

We enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. All you need on-site . Across the street was an excellent restaurant and a convince store for all your other need. The bus driver, Omar was the best!

roaches in room. they didn't even apologize or over anything for the inconvenience. after begging front desk she changed room. save you money and time go elsewhere

Modest but very clean and relaxing hotel near the sea. Samsara is locatedon the cliffs but there are steps to accommodate those who feel more comfortable getting into the water at lower levels. Also, one can hop on the free shuttle that goes from Samsara to the sister hotel Legends that’s situated on the beach. That way one can enjoy the best of both worlds!

Beautiful hotel, everyone is extremely nice. The souvenir shop guy is awesome if you want recommendations. We didn’t get WiFi in our garden room but that’s was okay. I’m glad we didn’t do the all inclusive because drinks were tiny. Totally would stay here again. Recommendations for things to do: SunBaby Glass Bottom for snorkeling, Three dives (two doors down) for food!!!

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay at he Samsara Hotel. We stayed in a pillar house, oceanfront room and it was wonderful! We had a direct view of the ocean on the cliff. We were able to walk out of our room and jump into the water. We also got a couples moonlight massage that was amazing. Getting a massage oceanfront was such a relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend the Samsara to anyone looking to stay in Negril.

First off let me say that the reviews had me thinking that our stay would be bad. So not true. This resort is awesome. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. Only thing about room is the bed was a little hard and walls are thin, but tolerable. The staff was amazing. The main hotel driver Omarr was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. The guy night clerk very helpful as well. The bar at hotel was nice and food was ok. The pools and property was very well kept. Now granted the outside looks a little outdated but it's still a lovely resort. We loved our visit and will book again at this location. Don't listen to those bad reviews because it's a lie. Love this resort and staff.

We had a couple of significant issues during our stay including a sewer gas leak and non functioning amenities in the room (shower, TV, door locks). The management team was not on site and left the staff powerless to make any decisions or do anything to remedy the problems. We had very low expectations going in based on other reviews but even those expectations were not met. I left my business card for the management to contact me upon their return to discuss our stay but I was never contacted. The people are friendly and kind but when they have no authority to act the results are less than satisfactory.

No amenities, phone did not work for my entire stay. My friend's room phone did not work either. Bought a beverage at the bar, charged room service on it? Plastic cups in the room, bar, etc. Would not let a local friend on the grounds. Breakfast closed at 10 am. Overpriced.

This was my third time visiting Samsara. I have had great experiences each time I have been. The staff is wonderful, the location is amazing and I just feel very safe and comfortable there. I love the convenience of the shuttle to the beach everyday and the close proximity to everything. Being on the Cliffs adds an extra element of safety in my opinion and the staff is always very helpful and attentive.

The place is nice but can use a little tlc and more comfortable furniture. The views are beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Our cottage has ac but couldn't keep up with the hot sun. If I knew better I would have booked one of the superior ocean view rooms. If our suite had a nicer bed, chairs and insulation to help the ac I'd give it a 4. It is beautiful though

Was not welcomed appropriately I thought the food in the restaurant was terrible I paid for three nights but only stayed one there's more I could say but that's basically it

This was my 1st time staying on the "cliffs" in Negril. - serene, quiet, beautiful oceanview room, great food, friendly staff, clean and modern room accommodations. I've found a new home away from home.

First time wife and I had been able to get a vacation with just ourselves. Great location for a quiet setting. Rooms could have been nice but great price and excellent service.

Beyond my expectation. I'd loved to go to this place agaen

Sigh, I have been dreading this review. Let me start with the good I had an ocean view and it was phenomenal. The view from my room every morning was absolutely beautiful. The views of the ocean around the resort were truly amazing. I booked a package deal which included airfaire for two, the room itself, and transportation to and from the aiport. I was a little disappointed to find that my reservation did not include meals, I must have misread and the price to add the all inclusive deal at the hotel was outrageous almost $500 for two people, so me ane my friend decided to venture out for food. The first night we returned to the hotel to find two large cock roaches in the room. We we were afraid to sleep and there was no one to call as the front desk had gone for the evening. Majority of the staff was not kind, they seem to cater more towards their European guests, there were several occasions where some of the ladies from the front desk gave us dirty looks. On multiple occasions we went to the bar and were not even acknowledged, meanwhile the other patrons were constantly being checked on. Me and my friend booked massages and the ladies were very nice. It was different, but quite relaxing to get a massage out doors in that beautiful weather, I was a little disappointed that I was not able to get a pedicure F.Y.I. The bed I had felt like bricks. I wanted to make the best of my vacation so I did not complain much, however I did see one of the housekeepers the next day and told her about the cock roaches. I would not stay at this property again nor will I recommend it. Most of the negative reviews were spot on, so stay at your own discretion.

Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed our beautifully landscaped property – the owner has lovingly tended these gardens for many years in order to create the quiet and spaciously private feeling you enjoyed. With only 50 rooms, you can truly get away from the crowds here and we’re glad you enjoyed your vacation. Please come back soon!

Thank you for the 5 star rating and review! We can see you appreciate the benefits of the West End in Negril, where we have so much more space and much fewer people than at the beach. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, enjoyed the serene ambiance we’ve created at Samsara – and we hope this means we will see you again sometime. Thank you for choosing Samsara!

Thank you so much for the feedback you’ve left in this review. We are so glad you liked our beautiful property, and that most of our employees lived up to their reputation for being the friendliest staff in Negril. We are dismayed to read your report of how our wait staff and bartender came across to you! That is truly not the norm and we will investigate what happened. If you could please PM us the dates of your stay so we can figure out which staff were serving you, we would greatly appreciate it. We would love the opportunity to change your mind about us, so we do hope you try us again sometime.

Thank you for your comments. In reviewing your reservation, we see that we immediately treated the room when you reported the problem. We do apologize for the inconvenience, and for evidently not apologizing enough at the time. In the tropics, certain insects are a fact of life. You cannot get rid of them, you can only keep them at bay the best you can. Guests who bring food into their rooms definitely are not helping the situation, as you might imagine. We do wish you all the best in finding accommodations anywhere on this island that aren’t battling roaches just as hard as we are.

Thank you so much for the 5 star rating and review! We are actually on the sea, not near it, but as you point out one can jump in the water from a short cliff or use steps to get down to the water and slide in. We hope you enjoyed the snorkeling on the cliffs while you were here – there is a lot of marine life right there below the surface of the water on the cliffs and nearby as well. We are glad you made use of the shuttle that makes daily trips to 7-Mile Beach where Legends is, and we do hope you will come back and see us again sometime!
