Aside from a few issues we experienced it was a nice place. Friendly staff, decent food, nice room. Better than others... Not as good as some!

Updated amenities, relaxing surroundings, and good food.

This hotel was very modern and clean. Central location to get to everything. Food and drinks are well priced. Only thing that was disappointing was the Internet. Connection was very weak or non at all.

Second stay of 2015! Fantastic stay, one of the better boutique hotels on Seven Mile!

The staff was amazing. Being able to walk out on the beach and meet so many different people was great! The room was just what I wanted quiet and spacious!

great location, good staff. the beds on the beach are dirty.chaise lounges good.

nice beach, good staff, breakfast is good ! Did not eat a the restaurant but it looked great.

Every day that passed the more convinced we were that this was the best hotel in Negril. Stylish and modern interior design and since the hotel was a boutique/small hotel everyone recognizes you in a good way (we never felt "overwhelmed"). The beach area had a private guard that kept beach salesmen away so you can sunbath by yourself and leave your stuff when swimming. Extra star to our housekeeping lady who kept our room spot on and was super nice.

met the owner ms chen very nice and charming, staff was great especially pops, merle, and of course keon.I couldnt ask for a better hotel i research this one and it paid off i could stay there again and i will be telling more people about this hotel.

The check-in was easy and the staff was pleasant. We had to change our initial room because the roof was leaking. The next day, the roof in the second room started leaking and damaged some of my stuff. They quickly offered us another room, but didn't address the the damage that was done. We were told the manager wasn't available at that time, but they would get back to us. Two days later when we were checking out, management still hadn't contacted us, I asked to speak to the manager and was informed he was off property. Then they told me I should write a email to the manager when I get home( REALLY!!) Poor customer service and the staff wasnt helpful.. Also the continental breakfast that comes with the room is awful..the fruit plate we were given had brown banana, two pieces of pineapple, and some watermelon (none of it sweet). Yet I look over and see a woman who had a huge plate of grapes, papaya, and mango. I inquire about it and was told she was the owner. So they had the better fruit, just choose who they gave it to. This happened two days in a row.

The room is very nice and cozy so we were able to be relaxed. If you are a beach person, you will enjoy this hotel.

I was very nervous about staying here because I wasn't sure what my experience would be like. I am very picky about staying in hotels but because I was going on spring break vacay with a group of people I decided to go with what was affordable as oppose to luxury. However, to my surprise my experience was completely luxurious and I cannot wait to go back! I recommend this hotel to anyone! Right on the beach, complimentary breakfast, great food, gym amenities, pool & jacuzzi, newly renovated, modern decor, comfy beds, awesome service, friendly housekeepers, and a bar on the beach. What more can one ask for!

The hotel is very clean, the rooms and overall decor of the hotel is modern, the grounds are tropical and kept up well. I enjoyed being in walking distance to everything and being steps from the beach once out of our room. The beach area is spacey and the chairs are great! I have stayed next door at coco la palm 8 times and find the staff there more friendly and willing to assist. I would stay at sandy haven again but after having no water in the shower all 6 days (or just a few cold drops), and the toilet or sink not operating I don't think I would chance it. We were told that they were "working on it" when we asked about the water issue however we suffered our entire stay with no explanation or compensation. The vacation was great it was my 11th trip to Jamaica I enjoy the island, friendly people, culture, fun things to do and of course the tropical weather and scene. I just wish we had shower water and no plumbing issues.

We stayed here for three nights prior to moving to an all inclusive resort. Wow, the rooms were nice and the staff was great. OK, the hot water is not hot, but you are in Jamaica. Walk around outside the hotel and find unreal places to eat! "Best in the West" which is across the street to your right about 30 yards is fantastic and extremely reasonable. My wife had the Lobster and I hate Jerk Chickien the first time we ate there. Very informal, wear what you like as I had a paper plate and she had a real plate. The jerk sauce was the best I have had in 4 trips here! One half jerk chicken with rice and slaw (not a slaw fan, but loved it) was either 12 or 14 dollars. Great place to eat, but this is about the hotel.... Staff was great. It is small and quant. Nice to meet other guests and see them each day. Formed some friendships with some wonderful people. The bar staff at the beach is great Romain ( I called him Romeo) and Linton are there to serve you and make some GOOD drinks.

One of the best on the seven mile strip. staff was very accommodating; rooms and balcony was very spacious. we had an amazing panoramic ocean view and this was very refreshing every morning. Food was very good, inaddition to the blue mountain coffee. I forgot my $2,000 watch in the lockbox and had to turn around (heading to airport) and when arrived back at the hotel the staff immediately presented my watch.

I went to Negril to get some rest and relaxation. Sandy Haven Resort was just what I needed. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed. The staff is very friendly and treated me like family throughout my stay. I have never stayed in a small hotel before. This was a real treat. I met the owners, who were constantly walking around and mingling with the guests. The food at Bongo's was fabulous. I spent most of my time on the beach, which was my reason for going to Negril. Everything about the resort was well appointed and up to date. I loved the rain shower in the guest room. Also, the massages were the best that I have ever had (and I've had more than a few). The only complaints that I have is that the resort is right next to a night club and music was blasting all night. I'm told that they have sound-proofed the windows but that didn't help. Also the matress in my room was quite hard. It is advertised as a King-sized bed, but it is actually two twin beds pushed together. The space between the two was quite evident. I guess that's why they say that your room can either have two twin beds or a king bed. No queen size. This was a great trip for me and I was able to return home rested and refreshed. Mission accomplished.
