munich has a bunch of good hotels but they are all so expensive!!!! well at least for me. i was lucky to find G hotel and got a good price for 3 nights stay. the hotel is located about 200mts from the subway station Rotkreuzplatz wich is only 2 stops from central station. i walked to the nymphenburg castle and the neighborhood is quiet and nice. The check in was quite fast and the boys at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The rom was spacious but I think they could fit a twin bed for comfort. bathroom clean and good shower to. the breakfast is great with great selection os breads, cold cuts, fruit etc but if you are not used to big breakfast, there are plenty of coffee shop around. also a mall and stores walking distance.
This hotel is the typical example of why it is preferable to select a hotel further out from the center with good proximity to mass transit. It is only 80m fro the tram stop and not even 150m from the U-Bahn station, which brings you in less than 20min in the heart of Marienplatz if you choose to go. It also very close to Nympenburg by one line of tram. The neighborhood is good and relatively quiet. It is not flashy but it has everything you require. The breakfast was good, continental type, at an affordable price and certainly better over any cafe outside. The room and bathroom was nice and comfortable and although on the first floor looking at the street we felt no noise disturbance. The best point however was its staff. Special mention to Sadki (if I spelled his name correctly) who did everything to accommodate us and tip us over amenities and transportation possibilities. They even had at the reception day tickets for mass transit available. It is addressed to businessmen and families alike. I would certainly stay there again.
This was probably the worst stay i could have ever imagined. Now I know that German hotels are generally way off the mark in comparison to the US, UK etc but this was poor. No Air Conditioning made it unbearable Guys on reception were fine, the breakfast staff were too busy chatting to each other to even see they had missing items, such as fruit juice. She filled the orange but let the other. Really poor
The concierge were helpful as needed. The room was nice and clean. However it was very loud outside. Room does not have Air Conditioning and is warm in the room. Needed to leave the windows open and wear ear plugs. Thank goodness the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
This small hotel is great for a short city stay. Well located, close to tram, bus and U-Bahn connections and less than 10 minutes from the city centre by public transport. It also offers good connections to sights located on the city limits. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast, hot and cold, is more than adequate to start your day with a replete appetite. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the property is well maintained and clean, however our bath room was looking a little tired. There is a small conference room and supprisingly a well equiped fitness room. I would highly recomend this hotel for a 3 to 4 night city break stay. In addition there is a really good restaurant (Gasthaus) just 50 yards from the hotel where you get get a good value lunch or dinner.
Stayed here for a couple of nights. For the price we paid, it was a great deal. The hotel is located close to a ubahn station so getting to the old town was a breeze. Right next to the hotel was a doner shop that perhaps sells the best kebap in town. The reception service was quick and efficient, and the rooms nice and comfy. Would definitely stay again if we come to Munich.
It was good but there were missing coffee in the rooms, or at least free coffee for the guests. And if you have open windows at night, the cars in the garden(and people) can be very loud. Shower curtains were little dirty.
What a hidden gem in a lovely area of Munich! We didn't arrive until quite late at night but the check-in desk was staffed by a very friendly man. The room itself was clean and quite spacious for the price we paid. Even better was that minibar is included in the room price, making it an extremely good deal! Looking forward to staying here again in future.
it's a very nice place, clean, silent...the only thing was we had to wait like half an hour when we got to the hotel for the cleaning lady to finish with it(we got there around 14:00). very good connection to the center of the city, with restaurants around...i would repeat!
The hotel room was available when I arrived at about 9 AM; was clean, friendly staff at reception. The location is very good. I stayed for 3 nights. A pity that on the second day my room was not serviced at all. On the third day the (complementary) fridge content was not replaced. There is no way of making coffee in the room, although there was a kettle in the small -empty- kitchenette in the cupboard. The coffee machine at reception was out of order, without an alternative offered for a cup of coffee in the morning, if one did not want breakfast. I thought this was substandard as the room was rather expensive.
