Rushmore Express Keystone

Keystone has a lot of shops and restaurants, most of them within walking distance of Rushmore Express. The hotel looks dated on the outside but the comfort and cleanliness on the inside make up for it.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. I booked online and expected an average or below average experience for the reasonable price I paid. We were pleased with the comfort, the availability of rooms, the laundry facility, and the proximity to Mt. Rushmore. It even included a decent breakfast, though mostly carbs (I like eggs for breakfast). Just be aware, restaurants in this area close early. The room had a mini fridge and microwave. It also had a workout room, which our daughter appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.

Our suite was quiet and spacious and clean. The beds were super soft. I'm picky about cleanliness in hotels and I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. No bugs or gross things left behind. The front desk was very professional.

Motel staff was excellent. Only negative was parking availability and condition of the actual parking lot. Morning breakfast was nice. Pool and Spa were very nice!!!

We unknowingly booked our trip during the Sturgis Rally so the area was busy and full of motorcycles. The hotel staff did a great job of managing the traffic and minimal parking. Our room was spacious and very clean. The kids loved bed the bunk beds. The hotel is across the street from Tramway Adventures (great activities for the whole family) and just two miles from Mt. Rushmore. Perfect location!!

We had 3 standard rooms for our family group which included adults & children. One adult was not feeling well when we arrived & staff was very nice about allowing an early check in for one room. One shower knob was broken, but fixed within 30 min of reporting. Most found mattresses to be very comfortable. Was a little annoying that air was turned off on arrival & so it took quite awhile to get rooms comfortable as it was very hot outside. A heads up that mini frigs were not only unplugged but turned off would have been nice. Outdoor tables & chairs was a nice extra. Pleasant breakfast room with adequate breakfast. Sausage biscuits were a hit with family. Overall rooms met our needs at a reasonable price.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast was great.

We enjoyed our stay at Rushmore Keystone Express. We stayed in a King suite; which was very spacious. The room was clean and comfortable.

We had a good stay, should have stayed longer but had booked another hotel closer to the city.

Close to shops and food. Room was clean and the staff were very nice.

The hotel is situated in a nice and quite area. It is close to all the major attractions, especially Mount Rushmore. The night staff was vert courteous and professional--one of the best I have seen in years from all my travels. The services were first class. My family and I felt welcomed the entire stay and were greeted every time we passed the service counter. Every time we called for a service, we received it within one to two minutes. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those who travel with a family and young children.

This was a nice short stay. Clean. Friendly staff. Budget friendly.

Close to Mount Rushmore but room was dark and did not feel clean. Could use some updates carpet and bed spreads.

This was a hidden gem. We have been traveling to Keystone for years and we had no idea about this place. Very clean. Our suite was amazing and very updated. Highly recommend

We had a great time staying in Keystone at the Rushmore Express. It's close to the attractions, even within walking distance of the "mall". Room was huge and had everything we needed. The breakfast was awesome, had something for everyone. Stayed there 4 nights and would definitely recommend it! Thanks.

This was a good place to stay. Close to all the attractions. In the evening you could just walk around the town after a good meal.

This motel was located right in Keystone our touring destination. The room was beautiful and clean. The problem was our room was right by the pool and it was so noisy staying on the first floor it was hard to sleep. I recommend the top floor for anyone that stays here.

We needed a room for a family of 6 and this hotel was great. The Family Suite was big enough to fit a roll-away bed in multiple locations within the room. The front desk, breakfast and cleaning staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were updated and very clean.

If you smoke this is the place for you. We booked a non smoking room but got a room that most definitely has been smoked in. When we complained the hotel staff said they had some spray to try and mask the smell. There are two sections to the hotel. The old section should be for smokers only. Orbitz should not use this hotel until corrected. Mt. Rushmore and the town are great but this hotel is a gamble at best!

We got a suite and it was lovely. Everything was clean and appeared to have been recently remodeled. The room was spacious and well decorated. The kids enjoyed the pool. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is mediocre at best but free. The only things with any protein was the milk and cream cheese. Would be nice if they at least had yogurts. Overall we loved the hotel and would stay again.
