Late check in 11 pm. Night clerk from Ossian, IN was excellent. He found us flat pillows. The breakfast ladies x 3 days were always cheerful & helpful. My daughter loved the pancake maker. 3 minutes from Mount Rushmore.
This was our second stay at this property. First, the good stuff, the staff is amazing, friendly and helpful! The property, the rooms, the common area, are all clean and well kept. The hotel sits on the outskirts of downtown Keystone and it’s quiet and serene. The suite we stayed in was very spacious and clean. The downsides… we stayed in a suite with 2 beds and a pull out couch. The couch mattress/springs were horrible. The 2 people we had sleeping on the couch bed ended up throwing the thin and very aged mattress on the floor and there wasn’t any bedding to go with it. The mattresses in the bedroom were just as bad. They were like horrible air mattresses and one of the people in our party was so uncomfortable, they also slept on the floor! The adjoining room door rattled all day and night we ended up having to shove something under the door to just get some sleep. We also ended up having to get our room keys redone almost every time we left the room and can back, not a huge issue, but an irritant. Lastly, breakfast… subpar at best. We don’t usually get picky about our hotel breakfasts, but this wasn’t great by any means. Again, this was our second stay at this property and the price is always right and the staff is wonderful and accommodating. A few small tweaks ( beds!!! Everyone wants a comfy bed to crash in after a long day!) and it would be perfect.
Its in the Black Hills of Keystone SD.

Nice hotel and the beds were very comfortable. Very nice location to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Zip Line was right outside our door.
Everything good
Overall okay stay. Room was spacious which was nice for families. We got towels and service daily without having to ask. The staff was friendly. Perfect area with walking distances to restaurants and stores. The indoor pool was nice for the kids but the chlorine was overwhelming, after 30-45 minutes you can feel it sting your eyes. I have never experienced this anywhere. Could use upgraded couches and tables in the room. Most disappointing thing was the faucets in the shower and the sink. Kept dripping water all night. The bathtub faucet was super scary to use especially with kids. The handle kept turning itself to the hot side and won’t stay in place. The shower head was not working, more water was running from the bottom faucet head than the shower head. Was also disappointing the hot tub wasn’t functioning during our visit.
The staff here is super friendly and helpful. The location is 4 miles from Mount Rushmore - walkable but all uphill, so not real feasible to walk. There is a row of shops that are in walking distance which was nice. The rooms are ok - pretty average. Overall the location and the staff are the positives.
Easy walking distance to food and shops. Pool area was nice and clean, as was the rooms. Great value for traveling with a family.
Very good basic accommodations. Reasonable breakfast. Friendly staff
size of room was great
We were pleased with our room for the first 3 days it was great. Then the room above us had a child jumping of the bed running around the room at 7:30 am. Went to the front desk and they did nothing about it would not even say anything to the family. There should be some respect for people who r staying next to you or under you. And the staff should have that consideration to speak to those people!!
Close to Mount Rushmore. Parking was very tight and limited.
