Hyatt Regency Montreal

For the price, the Hyatt offered nothing special. No one was there to help us when we pulled our car up and we had to load a luggage carriage ourselves and find the reception area on the 6th floor, which was poorly signed. Bed very stiff and hard. The employees were nice. The pool's nice, but there is nothing to differentiate this hotel from any other, especially as it is more expensive than many others. We were notified Saturday night that the city was closing the adjacent street at 10 am the following morning. This meant that we effectively had to be out by 10 instead of 11. Had I known this before we reserved the hotel, I would have chosen another. Just a blah experience overall.

love the staff ! Great location , easy parking Will be back !!

First of all, it was my mistake because I picked the wrong option of room, thinking they were all modern like the purple/blue rug room in most of the pictures. Looking back at the option on site, there were no pictures of the room for the option King Bed, City View that I chose. Apparently the 16th+ floors are the rooms that are newly renovated, but I was unaware when I was booking because I assumed I was booking the modern room. I was looking for something nice for a romantic getaway and I always thought the Hyatt had a good reputation of quality. The room looked outdated, so we were disappointed because we assumed it was the modern rooms that was depicted throughout the site and even in the email confirmation. We were on the 13th floor. In the out dating looking room, the last guest FILLED the drawers with leftovers which we discovered after taking a nap, so the room wasn't cleaned properly. The staff was really accommodating, when I asked if we could get another room because the smell was making me and my gf nauseous. We went to dinner and came back, and they could only move us to a room with 2 doubles, so that was disappointing but understandable due to the busy weekend. So for a romantic getaway, going from a king bed to a double, is just another disappointment. The location was great, however we just assumed the rooms looked like the pictures depicted in the confirmation email, but we were wrong...

Very nice hotel in the heart of Montreal. Breakfast was included this time.

The room was dirty and smelly. It's worn and needs renovation.

it was a pleasant experience. from the moment we checked in. The staff were cordial and knowledgeable,

The stay was great but they did not have the 2 queen room I had reserved. We had to get a king with a cot. We managed but this was not ideal and not what we had reserved.

I enjoyed the stay in Montreal despite the snowy weather. The hotel was easy access to the places I wanted to visit.

Was in Montréal for a Canadiens Game. This hotel was walking distance, under a mile to pretty much everything, Old Montréal, Latin Quarter and other of course the Bell Centre. Nice mall attached to hotel, just an elevator ride away. The pool was very nice, the gym facilities were above average, the after workout spa was of the chain! Wet and dry saunas.

Bed very uncomfortable and room was tired (cracks in ceiling, old finishes). It was expensive, so I expected a little more luxury. You pay for the location, I guess.

This was nice hotel but the rooms were on the smaller side. We were in a double bed room.

We had a great stay , did have to move rooms due to loud music being preformed at the arts center till 1:30 AM , no fault of the staff, they made us aware of the music every night. was a shame because we loved the view of first room . Second room was quiet but not much of a view. Walking distance to old city, subway east access mall connected to lower level !

The online photos are a bit misleading. The rooms are smaller and well worn, despite what appear to be a recent refresh. The breakfast each morning was nice, at the Regency Club, but it seemed tacky that they charge extra for cheap wine in the club in the evenings (at the Ritz, we are used to an open bar). Overall, we will stay elsewhere when we return.

Definitely one of the best locations to stay in Montreal. The area is vibrant and full of activities and places to hang out and spend some good time. Hotel is connected to the place de arts center and ultimately to the subway transportation. Very lovely and professional staff.

Great location, not so great with amenities in room. bedding was not necessarily clean. Had to ask for additional towels as well as toiletries

The hotel is quite centrally located. It is in a mall on Rene Levesque, easy to navigate and close to most tourist spots. Vieux Montreal is a few minutes walk, St. Denis is just a couple blocks away. The MCA is just north of the hotel... My room was decently sized, very comfy and kept clean all through my stay of 4 days. The pool was also great, with a nice large desk to hang about at. It overlooks Rue St. Catherine where something's always going on. The staff was friendly and very good with getting through people always lined up at the front desk. I'd choose to stay here mainly because of its location.

Great rooms, great location, great hotel in Montreal

Montreal is always lovely! This hotel was located near everything downtown and the metro is across the street. Hotel is on top of the underground mall and life that is montreal underground. Food hall of mall is attached to hotel, so perfect!

I bought a last minute reservation at the Hyatt as a Christmas present to my fiancee for the weekend after Christmas. It was well under $100, mostly due to the fact that most people are probably tapped out at that point of the year and the hotels need to fill the rooms. Parking was free at the Place Desjardins. The bartenders were very chatty, but not annoying.

Hotel location was perfect. We had a great time in a beautiful city. The hotel was close to anything you need. If the weather is nice easily can walk. If it is to cold a short cab or train stop away.
