We stayed here while driving through the area. By no means a fancy hotel, this was quite good for its class. Room was clean, everything was stocked in the bathroom and in working order. Staff were all very nice. The breakfast, although limited to the typical fair for this type of hotel, was a bit broader than some (a few more options in baked goods, several fresh fruit including grapes). Overall, I was very pleased. It's immediately off the interstate, far enough to be very quiet but easy access for getting back on the road.
The hotel is well-kept (perhaps fairly new?) and comfortable for a hotel in its class. The room was in relatively good condition (although housekeeping could be improved -- toilet paper in the toilet when I arrived, shampoo not restocked) and comfortable. Breakfast was the typical fare. The only reason I didn't bump this to a 5 is the location -- there is essentially nothing nearby. The convenience store next door is horrible, and while you can easily find some fast food nearby, for the most part you've got to drive a little distance for meals. Also, when coming from the highway, entering the parking lot is awkward -- you need to turn a little before the hotel and go through the Hampton Inn's parking lot.
Stayed 1 night, Tuesday, July 18th. Room was very dark and carpet & couch was dirty. I wore my shoes in the room because of carpet being dirty. Bathroom door spring was broken and would swing all the way open or you would have to completely close the door. Wallpaper in bath had spots on it & the ceiling. Also no lotion in bath. I did check the bed really good when we first arrived and it looked fine. I wouldn't stay here again. I will say the Lobby & breakfast area felt clean. All employees were nice. Also I noticed the hallway being very warm and a musty smell.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! It was conveniently located and easy to find, the rooms were very clean and breakfast was fantastic! The staff was kind and helpful and they also had a pool which was kept up very well. I would definitely stay here again!
I stayed here on my way to Texas this week and found my stay to be nothing short of perfection. My suite was huge. The bedroom, bathroom and sitting area were huge. My room had been so carefully cleaned that I felt like I was the very first person to stay in that room. I also enjoyed the novelty of two separate TV's in my room. I'd also like to add that the front desk lady was very friendly and had me checked into my room almost as quickly as I walked through the door, which goes a long way for this tired traveler. To top it all off the Breakfast is top notch, not your average hotel breakfast fare. Fresh Berries, Mini Waffle, two types of sausage. Not bad, not bad at all.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite. First off, know that while there is a separate bedroom, there is no door on the bedroom. I have no idea why but that could be an issue for some travelers. We were first given a room on the third floor. Upon opening the door we were hit with a moldy smell that was unbearable. To the staff's credit they immediately agreed to move us to another room on the fourth floor. The room itself showed some signs of wear, including a couple of spots on the sofa - yuck! The sleeper sofa matress was a thin pad that you could feel the springs through. We ended up just putting a sheet over the sofa. Breakfast was the usual chain variety - my main complaint would be there were no pastries or donuts. As mentioned above, staff was friendly and accomodating. This was my first encounter with a Fairfield Inn and I had somewhat higher expectations than what was provided.
Stayed overnight on a Friday night - family of 4 - on the way to panhandle beaches. Like most Marriott/Fairfield experiences, the facility was clean, beds were comfy and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Particularly in the summer, this entire area seems to be a big stop-over spot for vacationers, and it was packed with other travelers. We aren't early risers so the breakfast area is often picked over by the time we get there - as was the case here. Food was OK but the crowd seemed to overwhelm the staff a bit. Overall a short but very nice stay - would stay there again and highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed the night while traveling home from the beach. We called ahead and paid over the phone because all of the other hotels were booked. The beds were comfortable. Easy check in/out and clean. Breakfast was also good and the dietary staff was friendly. I would stay here again.
We arrived in Montgomery well after midnight and checked into the Fairfield Inn. The front desk clerk was friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a King Studio room. The bathroom door did not shut all of the way. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. They had decaf coffee in the room, but no regular coffee. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 0900 and I told them we were still there. They kindly left, but came back at 1030. I had forgotten to put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, so I'll take blame. When we checked out, the two ladies at the front desk were friendly and wished us a safe trip. We will definitely consider staying here again.
We were heading home from a week-long road trip and this was our last hotel of the journey. What a great way to end the trip with a quiet, comfortable, clean room, and an unbeatable breakfast buffet featuring items we'd never have expected in a free meal. Priced at half what we'd been paying for lesser quality, our room was quite a bargain for us. Just a few minutes south of downtown, the facility made our morning southbound getaway quick and easy without having to fight through the typical morning rush hour traffic. We'll be back.
