We stopped here on the way to PCB. Got a Double Queen with Pull-out sofa for $90. I was a little concerned about safety when I turned on to Monticello since the area looks a bit run down. Pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Friendly check in host. Reasonably comfortable beds for the price. For a 2 star hotel rating, this exceeded my expectations.
Recently stayed here to play in a local tennis tourney. Price was a factor as was location. Easy access to I-85. The room (104) was updated (it was a handicap access room) and comfortable. Bed slept great. The shower had a hand held sprayer only (mounted to wall). I was a little surprised to see a bug trap placed on the floor by the TV. I would probably not want that to be visible to guests. Breakfast was good (waffle maker, eggs, biscuits) and staff was friendly. Overall a good stay.
Very comfortable king size bed, exceedingly clean, soft towels, comfortable couch, reasonable price, medium size frig instead of the usual, large screen TV, good lighting, wonderful breakfast, warm greeting (at one in the morning), etc. Late arrival; early departure...we were only interested in getting to our room, thus a complete walk through of the hotel was not on our minds!
Stopped here on our way to Florida. Price was a little high for mid December. The BAD: The woman that checked us in doesn't seem to like her job or maybe people? The room was okay but couch had stains, chairs were dirty (food & hair), the carpet was not clean especially in corners. Walls are thin, can hear people walking above, doors slamming closed repeatedly, traffic noise, etc. Tile work by bathroom door not finished? Toilet had a LONG black hair laying on the seat. Breakfast - several yogurts were outdated and spoiled. The GOOD: Bed was comfortable, shower was good, the lady that checked us out was helpful and pleasant. Bottom line - we wouldn't stay here again.
fair sized room, comfortable beds, TV and Wi-Fi worked well, refrigerator and microwave in room, pull out bed from loveseat breakfast was reasonable, all for a reasonable price. Not a lot of restaurant options off this exit.
This hotel is very convenient to get to to begin with. It meets all the criteria of Choice Hotels. This hotel is all suites. It is so nice to have a couch and chair to sit on during the evening. The only pitfall is there are no nice restaurants nearby. We had to travel down Rt.231 to find one about 6 miles before we found a Long Horn. In the same area was an Olive Garden but balance were fast food or ethnic.
We stayed at this hotel as we had evacuated from Florida because of Hurricane Irma. The hotel was reasonably priced. There was no price gauging. Throughout our entire stay all of staff were professional and friendly with all of the guests. They went above and beyond to make sure that needs were met. Staff were very respectful and caring about guests worries regarding their homes in Florida. For us, the hotel assured that our two rooms were next to each other. We received recommendations from the front desk and housekeeping of places to go and things to see in Montgomery. Our rooms were keep clean and fresh. The breakfast offered variety and quality food. The hotel was flexible on length of stay. We were even provided with laundry detergent when we needed to do laundry. Whenever our travels will take us to or through Montgomery, we will return to this hotel.
Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean, Wifi and TV worked well. Breakfast buffet was adequate. We booked without knowing anything about the city. Sadly, there was no place within walking distance for dining or shopping. It was not the most attractive part of town, although Montgomery is a beautiful city. We thought the property was well maintained. But under the circumstances, the hotel did a great job handling all the hurricane refugees. The hotel was full every night, but rooms were always cleaned, and the breakfast buffet was stocked.
It was a good hotel. Staff was friendly enough. The room was older and not very good internet connection. If you were in the lobby it was good but not in the room. The free breakfast wasn't good and not very much to chose from. Some random guy from off the street came in and filled up 3 plates of food and walked right back out to hos car and drove off. He wasn't even a guest at the hotel.
Stayed here last night while traveling through. "Average" is a good description. Hotel is older, with older decor in a part of town that is close to the highway and filled with travel hotels. Saw police cars at the hotel across the street as we were arriving. Room was big, clean, well stocked with toiletries, everything worked fine, but no wireless internet, only old school plug in. Breakfast was good but limited compared to other hotels in same price range, most of the baked goods were packaged not fresh. Staff was not overly friendly. Overall, a bit over priced for what you get and not sure that I will stay here again.
