The room smelled bad - the couch smelled of vomit. The A/C was very noisy. The room was poorly maintained overall - please see photos. I do not understand how this hotel could get such great reviews from others.
Room rates were good. Room 113 and facility was spacious and clean, but AC needed attention, The temp control did not work so the choices were, full on or off. Additionally, hair dryer did not work, Reported both to desk, Room was quiet. Breakfast was better than most mid range hotels. Would stay here again.
Pleasant Hostess, we asked for a quiet room and it was a very quiet suite, clean comfortable. The fitness center was okay, breakfast about the same everywhere. The price was very reasonable. All in all would definitely stay again.
We stay at Comfort Suites on our yearly trip back and forth from Florida. I like their room arrangements but still after repeated criticism on their sofa sleeping bed, I give up .They haven't improved in 5 years and I guess the word is never. The springs are downright to the floor. Don't get in this or you will need a crane to get out. Otherwise the room is comfortable. The breakfast buffet had one of the best biscuits and gravy I have eaten.
I travel a great deal for work, and usually seek out CSs, because of their consistent quality, and customer service. This one, however, was lacking in so many areas. The female who checked us in was great... but it quickly went downhill from there. The pullout couch was broken, the chair was badly stained, AC thermostat didn't work, and the filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I actually woke up in the middle of the night coughing, and had to find water. The Night Audit staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. He was too busy chatting with a female, over the counter, to offer even a simple smile, when I checked out the sparse the A le carte snack bar (these are usually well stocked with a good selection of snacks and beverages). Breakfast, the next morning, was barely breakfast, at all. Upon checkout, my husband asked what they usually serve (knowing full well what is supposed to be there), and the employee rattled off a few items. He asked why most of that (adding bananas, and a few other things CSs usually have) were not available to us. She said they were either out, or they do they do not serve them, respectively. If your establishment offers a "full" breakfast, it should be provided, and during the FULL breakfast time scheduled hours. Period. It's a good thing this Comfort Suites isn't on my work travel route, as I will never stay there again. Next Christmas, when we travel to, and from, Mississippi, we will most definitely stay elsewhere.
In town for the Camellia Bowl! The downtown hotels were priced thru the roof so I picked this one out of a hat! 10 minute drive downtown made the 100 dollar+ savings well worth it! The rooms were very large with a fridge, microwave, free wifi, and coffee maker! It's not a new building but for the most part, was clean! Only downside is that not a single vending machine on any floor worked. I could have used a late night bottle of water. Go Rockets!
Below average for a Comfort Suites. Front desk personnel not friendly during check-in. My wife found a huge roach in the bathroom during the night. Front desk guy said we would hear from GM that day, but we never did. I think a hotel has a few minimum obligations to their guests, and one of the most important is pest control. Cannot recommend this property.
I went here with my wife last weekend to go gambling at wind creek casino in wetumpka. Which i dont recommend anyone to go. I didnt win a thing there and we went to BOTH casinos in two days. I recommend harrahs cherokee. Anyway the hotel was great the front desk was friendly and welcoming. The room was comfy nice size and clean. My only advise is to have better mattress pads and to have the mattresses in plastic protectors to prevent stains and bugs. Other then that everything was great. I would definitely come back to this hotel if im ever in the area again.
I'm a person that looks at the bright side of EVERYTHING but this hotel left a sour taste in my mouth. The suite itself was nice. Nice size tv, nice decor, furniture could use some updating, the bathroom was clean and tidy, and the bed was absolutely COMFORTABLE!! I could literally take that bed home. My boyfriend and I took a late night swim in the pool, which was very nice. I was really hoping to enjoy The hot tub but the over powering smell of chlorine killed that moment for me. The staff could brush up on their hospitality skills- I was getting breakfast and preparing to take it back to my room.. When one of the workers tell me that I had to eat the food in the breakfast area because of the complaint of bugs. :/ She was not pleasant at all. I didn't see a sign that confirmed her statement, so I proceeded to my room. My thing is, if you can't eat in the rooms.. Why put a refrigerator and microwave in each suite?! Although this hotel provided great comfort.. It could do better with its people skills.
The room we had was fine. Clean and comfortable. The bathtub/shower was a bit slippery and there was no bathtub mat. Also, the counter is really high so children would have a problem reaching the knobs or even spitting in the sink. My husband and I went swimming the first night we were there. The pool was gross! There were bugs all throughout! Bugs on top. Bugs on the bottom. Bugs mid-level hitting our legs. We didn't stay more than two minutes. It didn't seem to be one or two days' worth of dead bugs either. There was also a non-guest looking man having a private alcohol party on the pool deck. He might have come from the permanent-living "hotel" next door. The hotel seemed safe, but it was in an area with severe budget hotels and basic industry-type buildings. The hotel next door seemed to be a place where people lived. The Coke machine on the third floor was broken open. There was an ice machine and Coke machine on the first floor. Not sure about facilities on the second floor. Various drinks and snacks are sold at the front desk. The lobby was clean but the trash can outside of the hotel was dirty and overflowing. The second morning, a Wednesday, we passed the breakfast attendant walking out as we walked in. I don't think the hotel was very busy and it was not even an hour into the breakfast time. The serving counter was dirty. The small trash can by the coffee (mini stainless steel for sugar packets, etc.) was overflowing. The large trash can by the window was dirty on the outside and overflowing. I really doubt those trash areas could have gotten filled that much in that one morning. At least four of the eight tables were dirty, sticky, or had trash on them. Many chairs were dirty. I don't know what the breakfast attendant was supposed to do or was expected to do, but she disappeared and never came back. Also, the juice machine was out of order. No other drinks other than coffee were available. The water in the lobby was warm and was lemon-flavored water. There was an "out of order" sign on the machine, but I think they should have put juice out in a pitcher. I went to the lobby and got a juice from the snack area. After waiting several minutes with no one coming to the front desk to take my money, I left $2 for the $1.50 juice on the counter. After breakfast, the money was gone but no one was at the counter. I don't think I should've had to pay when juice is part of the "free" breakfast.
