I travel for business I was not expecting a luxurious hotel, but it surprised me. Breakfast was better than what I expected, the staff is great and the rooms are decent. Everything was fine to me until I took the elevator, I felt I couldn't even breath, to make it worst the smell was really bad, when I get in to my room, Air felt trapped, I tried turning on the AC but it was not enough! I tried opening the window but its so little that its not enough! I felt like I was breathing the same air that got trapped in to the hotel years ago.
Stayed here for three nights for a family event nearby. As a gringo I expected less but was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it was less than I would normally expect to pay but the room was clean, well served and the staff was great. Breakfast included was a plus. Internet connection was a bit spotty...kept losing wifi. Regardless, good hotel if it meets your logistic needs. One note: use Uber to get around. surprisingly cheap for us in the US, but be sure to make the hotel your pickup point. Uber seems to default to 411 N. Universidad which I think is the Sam's club next door.
Old rooms, and building in general. Few options to eat nearby. With this relation of cost/benefits, you should pick a different option. On the good side, the staff is nice and helpful. Also, close to Monterey industrial area.
We arrived at the Wyndham and the check-in process was incredibly slow. As was the check-out process. Only one person, with no others to help. The A/C did not work properly, the pillows were like bricks. It was one of the more expensive hotels in town, and we were quite disappointed. Also, no restaurant in the hotel.
This hotel is nice on the outside, but old inside, the people at the check in are very helpfull, and nice, but the elevators are 100 years old, and slowwwwww.....the rooms have very poor quality beds that are the same as old as the elevators. It just hurst me to have spent my money in a good brand hotel and gotten poor quality room. ahhh also no free breakfast.
The Hotel is OK, the staff is nice and helpfull, but there is one thing they cannot fix: they have idiotically disconnected the ethernet, which connected the rooms to the internet, when it was Hampton. The WiFi is lousy. I need a VPN for work and this does not function here. Business traveller beware: Stay away. Here you are lost.
To start with the place actually looks better on the outside than inside. Everything is pretty rundown. The towels are suppose to be white, but are actually a dingy gray color. The desk people are rude and ignorant. Andres in particular, will give you a room key to a room that doesn't exist. He gave me the key to room # 649 but the rooms end at 646. After two trips back down to the desk and him insisting I must be entering the jokey incorrectly a coworker had to tell him that the room didn't exist. Very poor conditions, the help is extremely incompetent. Spend a little more you will be much HAPPIER!
Stayed at wyndham garden hotel monterey in July 2016. staff so friendly hotel was excellent food was very good location was good. Golf course on site. 17 mile drive was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed for 1 night at this hotel. It is certainly centrally located in Monterrey. If business is the reason for the trip, it could be a good option. Good value. Front desk personnel provided superb customer service. My only concern was the room that I got. Room had an intense mold odor. Definitely, Not to Wyndham standards.
The facilities are ok but it needs some refurbish and definitely new AC systems they are noisy. Pillows are small and not so comfy but the spacious rooms makes it overall a good experience. The staff is really helpful. One cool thing is the wings bar that is 50 mts away.
