We live 3 hours away, so it was a last minute thing. The hotel is very well located between Monterrey and San Pedro. In a walking distance there are a few restaurants and a mall (15 min walk) . I think is better if you have a car though. Room was clean and spacious. I give it 4 stars for 2 things. My sink was damaged and water would stay there, no biggie for a night ( I did not told front desk, as I was mainly out for the day) and elevators had an electric smell but they work fine. I would certainly stay here again.
I have stayed in the hotel during an international youth meeting , the hotel is average , clean and cozy. Rooms are quite small but elegant . Staff are helpful but not all of them can understand English. Food is tasty but no enough varieties for international travelers. The hotel location is central to many touristic destinations in the city.
Hotel is clear and decent. But sometimes heavy rush in restaurant. Breakfast is boring. The dinner options are limited. But the rooms are big. Well maintained. Staff is friendly. Has free WiFi. Has laundry service. Lot of options to eat nearby.
I have stayed at this particular Holiday Inn Express several times over the last 6 years. The rooms are always nice and clean the staff very accommodating and one of the best complimentary breakfasts around. Close to many good restaurants and shopping. The front door guys are concerned for your safety.
The hotel is your typical Holiday Inn Express. It has very little local personality. The rooms are very spacious. I like that they do not have carpet. A nice touch is the desk lamp with a usb charging connection. My room faced the street so was very noisy. The sliding glass does not insulate very well so I was awoken in the middle of the night due to loud traffic and the frequent passing train with whistle. If you stay at this hotel, ask for an inside facing room. My colleague said that his room was very quiet. I opened the sliding glass door the first day and couldn't get it closed again. I informed the front desk who immediately dispatched a maintenance person to close the door. Points for the service but I was the scared to open again feering I would have the same problem. I would stay here again but only if in a room facing the inside.
As always, No complaints. Very nice hotel. Room is clean. On site restaurant lacks a big menu but you can get something to eat and a cold beer. You can also get mixed drinks too. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Everything you expect at a Holiday Inn Express you will find here. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast is quite good. I had a nice stay. Bathrooms look old, though. They could use a upgrade. Service is very good, personnel makes you feel very welcomed.
This hotel has a centric location, attention to the customer is very good, from front desk to restaurant. Housekeeping is spotless. Rooms are good size and sell stocked. There is a small pool with direct sunlight mist of the day. Reasonably priced. A ride from or to airport would cost you about $20 ea way (at current exchange).
I stayed there for 4 nights nights just before the Christmas holidays and it was a delightful stay. The beds are perfectly firm and the pillows are amazing. The location is about a 35 minute drive from the airport and is conveniently located right next to one on the best steak houses in all of Monterrey. It is called "La Nacional" and the food is amazing! This is my favorite place to stay when I am in Monterrey.
I arrived at the hotel at 10 in the morning after a gruelling overnight flight from Colombia. Given that my arrival was before the regular check in time, there was no room available which is not the kind of news a weary traveller wants to hear. However, they promised they would do all they could and in the time it took me to have a coffee in the restaurant and catch up on a couple of emails, they got a room ready and I was able to settle in. The room was certainly comfortable and well equipped. For some reason, room service didn't re-stock my coffee after the first day which was mildly annoying. The hotel itself is also quite utilitarian which I guess is what you expect from an "express". A nice bar, for example, would have been very welcome after a long day's work.
