Didn't know what to expect at first. Glad to find our room was clean and comfortable with amenities as described. Great location! Walking distance to the beach, food and shopping area. Just right for us and would definitely stay again.

Absolutely love it. So nice, cozy, and friendly. Everyone come here!

I figured that this hotel would be small & cheaply decorated, but to my surprise, it was really nice & homey! I loved it!

Okay for the price, sheets were dirty/stained. Towels were decent. Staff was nice. Probably wouldn't go back.

Management was good, he provided me a room right next to my vehicle when I parked so it made it convenient to just grab my stuff right into the room. Waffles are pretty good and it's a plus that it comes with complimentary breakfast from 7-9:30am.

We have stayed here during the memorial day weekend. The rooms are clean and big. The complimentary breakfast is OK. They have refrigerator and microwave in each room which was very convenient. I will stay here again.

It is not the best inn in Monterey. The wall mounted TV in the room was nice, other than that the room was not that special. The furnitures in the room seem a bit old and the room smell weird too. I probably will find another place next time. It is definitely not worth $140/night. There are probably better ones around that area.

while driving up the 1, we stayed at the Sand Castle Inn for 1 night. The room was clean, spacious and comfy. At night, it wasn't too loud or anything, so I'd definitely recommend. Also, the room offers a fridge and a microwave

Your ordinary motel. Definitely not a romantic getaway location, but quite adequate for crashing before your Monterey adventures. A bit pricey for what you get, but then everything in the area is pricey. The room was clean, had a flatscreen TV, there was free WiFi. There was complimentary coffee/juice/pastries/waffles for breakfast.

Room rates were competitive than other hotels in the area. The room appears recently remodeled with granite bathroom floor and around tub. The carpet appears new as well. The bed seemed old but ok. The big plus was having a flat screen TV, a microwave and a fridge in the room. ...but no coffee maker. Would be nice if the host would direct me to the location of my room more specifically, tell me about the hrs for breakfast, and the password to wifi when I checked in instead of me calling up later and ask. TV remote & telephone were filthy! Dresser was a bit old and drawers did not slide out easily. Quality of soap and shampoo were poor so bring your own. But for the price, it was very acceptable and I would stay there again. (not sure if all the rooms have.been remodeled.)

The room was good but they don't change the sheets or clean under the bed I found a empty beer bottle under my bed.

I was passing through town and needed a clean room for the night. It did the job.

The room was a little small for 2 people, no hot water in the vanity, but overall it was acceptible considering the cost. However, we were unable to get a smoking room.

Small cozy, clean, rooms at this hotel, but they need to go to 2-ply toilet paper and upgrade other toiletries. No elevators makes it harder to get luggage to second floor rooms.

The location is very convenient and the hotel was quiet. I have no complaint at all.

We spent most of our time at the Spirt West Coast Festival at Laguna Seca. We would of loved have a coffee pot and coffee even thou a continetal breakfast was offered. We've stayed at this Hotel before, People were nice and helpful.

Small room, but clean and comfortable, with all the modern conveniences (color TV, fridge, microwave, clothes iron, and hair blow-dryer.) Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach!

Just spent the night there passing through. Okay place, but don't bother with the breakfast room.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. It was dirty and OVERPRICED! Listed below are the reasons why... I have stayed at the Holdiay INN express in seaside.. TAKE MY WORD.. BOOK THERE.. NOT HERE! - Filthy ! - This has to be one of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed at. The floors were so dirty that after I took a shower and walked on the carpet my feet were black with dirt! I have a 2 year old and it was a nightmare watching him in the room. The dresser doors were filled with dirt and particles of god knows what. -Price per night - This was NOT worth what we payed per night. I felt completely ripped off, for what we payed you would expect a bit more and AT LEAST A COFFEE MAKER( which it did not have ) - Old and run down - This place was old and not kepit up. It reminded me more of an old apartment complex. There were cigarettes everywhere and the place smelled of smoke. The bathroom was the newest part of the place but the rust and grime near the Toilet paper was enough gross. Location - Yes this is close to the aquarium and canary row. But this is not in the best part of town. For what this cost a night. This was a RIP OFF!!! Comfort =[ - This room had pillows made out of cardboard... no cardboard would have been more comfortable.. The bed was just as bad. No coffee maker ... The only good thing about this place was the lady who checked us in. She was nice. So all in all I will NEVER go back , and wish i could get my $ back

We picked a cheap hotel since we were arriving late and leaving early. It is not luxurious- I would not pay more than 65 for it. It was clean and quiet and we had no issues.
