This is a hotel you should never stay at. There are a lot of homeless people in the area. Rooms smell like smoke even if it's non-smoking. Rooms are not clean. The employees and owner are liars and do not know how to treat their guests. They think their guests are stupid and think they're right. They charge your credit card without telling you before hand. We made reservations and gave our card to guarantee the room, they did not say it would be charged. Our card should never had been charged period because we are on a direct bill account. Later we checked our account and found they charged the card. Went to the from desk and they lady said it was an 'incidental charge', meaning something had happened and it's a charge to our card. They did not say our card would be charged when we checked in. I later call the front desk again, and spoke with the owner and he said there was no charge on our account and to call our bank. First of all he can't say it wasn't charged because the amount shows in our account with the hotel name pending. It was charged you idiot! Then called the next day and spoke with a lady and she said it was again 'an incidental charge' saying it was a deposit should. They are liars, don't know how to explain or talk to their guests, they don't apologize for their mistakes. Choice Hotels should take this franchise away from these people!! Customer service is key as well as repeat business, which they do not have and will never have again! DO NOT STAY HERE!

A last minute booking because no other option in town due to the rodeo. Located next to a highway exit be a cheap fuel station, so quite noisy. Room size was ok, but it felt all a bit "unclean". Also a slight sewer smell in the room. Poor breakfast in a very small room. Had to sit outside. Choose something else.

Pinky was very helpful at the front desk. The room was the perfect size and very clean. Location was right beside the highway and thus, a little noisy. Not a lot of parking space but the hotel is quite small. Breakfast was clearly an afterthought and was very poor for a Quality Inn. Do not choose this hotel if breakfast is something you value!

the receptionist was pleasant and polite nice start ,the room was clean tidy and handy to town ,all good but a bit noisy ,solid building with a good car park and an ok breakfast ,not much handy to look at but it was a break driving from LA to San Fran

Checked in for 2day stay with the family. Upon check in I was very welcomed with a big smile by Bianca. Room was clean, great comfortable bed, HD TV. Terresa at breakfast was helpful and pleasant. There was a housekeeper with short hair "sorry don't know her name" she was very accommodating. WiFi was just OK otherwise I would rate 5*.

For people not from the area, this hotel is located in a pretty seedy area of town. I didn't feel particularly safe as a young woman walking to and from my car, and friends who live in the area confirmed it was not a safe place to be. I checked in fairly late at night and the woman at the front desk was VERY friendly and helpful (this was Thursday, January 26th, 2017, at around 9pm--I don't remember her name, but she deserves recognition!). We were sent to our room, which smelled very strongly of smoke despite being a non-smoking room. I went back and asked for a different room and the woman was again very helpful and moved us to another room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, and it was overall a pretty good value for the price. Just be aware to not leave valuables in the car and keep your wits about you if you stay here, and lock your doors at night.

Pretty good location, near the middle of Salinas and right next to the highway, gas station right across, breakfast was passable, rooms were cleaned daily, beds were comfortable but the pillows provided were terrible, bring your own for sure, there was a fridge and freezer in the room but the fridge wasn't quite cool enough, heater was a bit unreliable, room was a little smelly but easy to adapt to, WiFi speed was excellent, better than my home internet.

I was immediately leery of this motel located in Salinas. The facility is in need of a facelift and too many features like breakfast were obviously an afterthought since it was served in a modified hotel room. Furniture in the room is old and dated. Carpets look bad and I never walked on them without socks or shoes.

This motel was easy to find as it is easily seen upon exiting the freeway. The room was clean with everything in good working order. I really appreciated all the electrical outlets and usb ports for charging phones etc. Fast food outlets were close also for that quick bite. Overall a comfortable stay.

First off I was not expecting very much from the motel. I waited until the last minute to book a room for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and anything in Monterey that was left started out at $450 a night. The Quality Inn was still $250 a night but I could reserve just Saturday night as opposed to several nights at other places. I wish rates didn't go up so much for special event weekends but that's just the way it is. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was clean and fairly modern. The bed was comfortable and it was not too loud at night from outside noises or other rooms. I was worried about safety after reading a few reviews of other motels in Salina but I felt safe here. No problems. The staff was very nice and got me in and our quickly. There was also a nice breakfast in the morning complimentary. It was not a Hilton but it was not a dump. A very happy medium and I would return again just not with special event pricing
