I stayed here for a week on a business trip. From the moment I walked in the staff was just amazing. I was on the ground level and it was convenient to all amenities. My room had a musky smell and the team offered a new room but I refused, I had already unpacked. I was told that new carpeting was needed and that was the reason for the odor, but I chose to stay and appreciated the offer of a different room. The staff recognized me after our first initial meeting and greeted me every time they saw me. The menu is not large but has a good selection, it was so nice to not have to stop to pick up dinner each night before heading back to the hotel. Each morning I got oatmeal to go and to me the price was equivalent to Starbucks but the portions were larger. This was a nice comfortable hotel with indoor pool, an area to order a drink and enjoy a meal, the staff is phenomenal and I would stay here again.
I paid the most to stay at this hotel as I did anywhere else the whole trip. Everything is broke like ice machines. Had no coffee and overall everywhere else I have been staff has been so professional and friendly but the total opposite here. What to go to Monterey while in the area. Now wish I would of stayed back in Bakersfield. There is nothing in regards to this hotel I can recommend. Marriott what a let down!!!!
I am in Salinas regularly. Not my favorite place to travel. Most of the time I am there for just a day, but occasionally have to stay overnight. I had previously stayed on the other side of town until I learned the area was not particularly safe despite the hotel being decent. So this was my first stay at this hotel. My husband came with me for this trip. He used the lobby area to work and found the Wifi to be adequate. The room was comfortable. I also used the gym facilities which were typical for a hotel of this class. I was somewhat disappointed with the food offerings at this particular Courtyard. As I frequently stay in Courtyard properties I found the menu to be smaller than others. Staff were really great. Very helpful and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again.
The room itself was top notch, really comfortable. We made great use of the large indoor pool also. Only lost a point because of the price. We paid a good bit with no breakfast included. We really enjoyed our stay though and would stay again.
We stayed here with our daughter for two nights. Our room was on the first floor near the lobby. While the bathroom was clean, I did notice that the carpet in the room was stained and there was a musty odor. We weren't bothered by any noise and slept well. The front desk staff was pleasant and friendly. I used the exercise room twice. I think the staff is great but the hotel can definitely use a little facelift, and based on the manager's comments below, it appears they are scheduled for such in the fall.
From the minute we walked in, the people we encountered who work here were the nicest and welcoming people. I wish I got names. The women who work the Bistro were the warmest as well and we enjoyed our breakfast. We just stayed one night on the way from our trip from the Bay Area to LA. Though the night's stay was pricier than I would have preferred, the cleanliness and kindness was well worth it. Would make this a stop again when we need a rest from our CA road trips.
The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean and modern. When we had our breakfast in the bistro, we got helped by Jasmin and she was great! Restaurants are within walking distance.
The staff at this place are outstanding! They go above and beyond. The room was very comfy. The little cafe was great! The food was really good. The ladies that work there are so so nice. Thank you! I highly recommend staying here when you are in Salinas.
We stayed here for three night and it was very pleasant. Room had odd smell on arrival but disappeared fairly quickly. My only dislike was their overpriced Bistro concept that was a cold experience. Putting a Starbucks logo on your coffee doesn't mean you can overprice hotel coffee. Parking is very tight but there is a Residence Inn next door. Staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy what they did.
Our daughter graduated from CSUMB and we (9 of us) traveled up for the ceremony. We picked this place by chance but let me tell what a wonderful outcome. Immediately upon our arrival the front desk ladies were super nice. They greeting us and has us checked in no time. Their personalities and interpersonal skills were great. I hope they read this review so they know how appreciative we are of them and their assistance. Thank Amber, Katie and Raven for making our stay a wonderful experience. I would also like to thank the cafe ladies the cafe food was delicious and the ladies working there were all about service. Thank you Nora for your patience and beautiful personality!!! The rooms were clean and great deal for the price. Everyone we came in contact with was great and friendly. I highly recommend this place.
