Lovely hotel, the only thing is our air conditioner did not work, it made a horrible noise and it was 83 degrees on the room. We were told someone would come up to fix it, when we returned it was still not working so we asked for a new room. Staff quickly gave us a new room. Thank you

We drove up from San Diego for a death in the family. I chatted with the front desk and let them know of my late arrival. We ended up coming around 4am and they said that their systems were shut down and they couldn’t give me a room that I had already paid for. The front desk staff seem unbothered that we would have had no place to stay even if we had already paid for it. After 15 minutes she decided to let us into our confirmed room as if it was a favor to us. I will not be staying here again.

I have stayed at this property multiple times with different experiences. The most recent time, they charged me for another room even though I paid through Expedia and they said that is standard policy. The time before the building smoke alarm went off at 1am. After evacuating the whole hotel, They blamed me for smoking in the room(which didn’t happen as my we were all fast asleep)after the fire department came and inspected, they realized they booked my family and I a room with a faulty smoke detector.

The room was clean, and comfortable. But when we returned to our room, we could not find out how to turn off the TV (it was on with the welcome screen) because there was we could not find a remote. Called front desk x3 with no one answering the phone. Husband went to front desk and was given a remote; brought it back to room, and it did not work. Called down to desk and someone brought 2 remotes to the room - 1 of them worked. We then could not find how to turn out floor lamp (ok, we were pretty tired!) so we just unplugged it for the night. And in the morning when we were getting ready for the day, we found the toilet was clogged. When we went down to breakfast and reported it, we were told that the Maintenace person would not be on site until 0830. A few minutes she came over and said we must have given her the wrong room number (we didnt) because there was no one occupying room ***. Um ok, well, then where did we sleep that night? She insisted that the room was empty and not occupied. We then were very disappointed with the breakfast but it could have been influenced by how tired we still were and all the other issues. BTW, when I checked out the (different) desk clerk had no trouble finding our information when handed her the room key and card holder. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay here and were glad it was for only 1 night.
