It was late and we needed a room. This was the only hotel in the area that had one available. I called ahead and was quoted a price for $120 including tax. For that amount I was thinking it would be nice.. nope. The bathroom looked like it hadn't had a deep cleaning since the housing bubble, the table seemed as if it were balancing on a bowling ball, and there were shady characters roaming the parking lot. For $120 in Mobile Alabama, one would expect something on the nicer side. This place was a notch above a Dump.
The rooms are accessed via individual outside entries, like a motel. Personally, I prefer being able to park outside my room. Our room was in good repair, and was equipped with a micro-fridge (without a freezer compartment). The water for bathing was hot. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding! In addition to the standard waffle makers (they had two), they also served eggs (scrambled), sausage and gravy. The bread and pastry selection was also outstanding. The had white and whole wheat bread, biscuits, English muffins, two types of bagels, assorted danishes, assorted muffins, as well as several flavors of oatmeal and yogurt. Beverages included coffee, tea, milk, orange and apple juices. I don't recall whether they had cold cereal, as I was focused on the hot foods. Everyone I met was pleasant and helpful. I would have no problem staying here again.
Dirty. NEED flip flops for the whole place. Dirty. Lots of homeless around sharing rooms. THE area is nice to walk around. STAY at the holiday Inn up the road. LOOKS way beter. There is not a lot around other than gas stations.
We used reward points to book a room while we were traveling, they booked us into a smoking room, neither of us smoke, the room was a dump, couch was thread bare, the bath tub had been patched, the sink counter had burn marks. I didnt even know they still had smoking rooms. The only saving grace for the place is the lady at the front desk found us another room. Also the breakfast area is very small, and the items served few
I was there years back and the girl that used to be at the front desk is not there any more she was very kind and meet all of are needs always had us a good price for our company. Now the girl that is there is rude and don't know why you let the other girl go. Also the rooms are awful now. We have moved are buiness else where. Thanks for not doing anything to help us after the numbers of complaints we gave the brown headed chick at front desk. You guys need to hire back the blonde she knew how to draw in buiness
Grumpy service, lights not working in the room, would not honour a discount voucher, cigarette butts all over the car park, ,,,,,, this was the worst place we stayed on our recent trip to the US and there is no way we could recommend it to anyone. The place was tired and overpriced!
We stayed at this hotel only for one night. After driving from Florida we discided to get some rest late at night. The hotel is close to I-10, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was good. Outside of hotel needs some paintings but we had a good night sleep to continue our road trip.
The only good thing about this property was the nice gentleman at the desk. I checked into a non smoking room, walked into the room and it reeked of a moldy mildew smell. I change rooms same smell. People hanging outside the rooms all night. I will not return to this property.
Sent my boss and his wife here to visit family in Mobile for a week. Since we run a janitor company needless to say were very observant on how facilities are taken care of or not taken care of in this case. Carpet looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in a week, Air vents are clogged with filth, restroom was pretty disrespectful, and black mold. The Mrs. became very ill the first night and after the husband looked around and found there was black mold in the room. They were moved to another room which wasn't much better but not as bad. Would not recommend this facility at all but actually recommend the health department to go through and check every room and deep detail.
Swell - mold - hairs on floor bathroom - dirty - hole in wall / mattress terrible Breakfast bad !!!!!!!!!!!' Very bad experience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' Dirt hanging from ceiling - mild around AC unit We are choice member - never again!!!!!!!!!!
