We stayed here for 2 nights in a 30ft RV. The site was large and had a picknick table and a grill. Too bad it didn't have a fire pit. There are very few large trees on this campground so no shade. Although it is very near the main road to Moab, traffic noise didn't bother us. The ladies at the reception desk were very nice and helped us extremely well when we needed to phone the RV rental company to report a problem. The store is very well stocked with camping equipment. This location was perfect for a visit to Arches. It was so near that we were able to stay in the National Park to watch the stars and didn't have to drive far in the dark afterwards. We didn't visit Canyonlands or Dead Horse State Park as it was extremely hot when we where here in June.
This park has a great location. Just outside of Moab, close to Arches NP and easy access to Canyonlands NP. Overall the staff did a great job of keeping the campground clean. However, I was disappointed in the lack of shade offered and the cramped camp sites. The facility locked the bathrooms at night and requires the PAYING guests to use port-a-potties. For people who want to leave before 6:30am to hit the trails and to beat the heat, the bathroom situation is inconvenient. The pool and splash pad area was kept clean, but there is not enough chairs or seating for guests. Moab in July means a very busy pool. Also there is no shade offered in the pool area. The playground area needs some TLC. The slide is coming loose from the platform, the climbing wall is missing step holds, and others are loose, and the bolts holding the swings need to be tightened. Again, all I can say is the place was clean and in a good location. I would not stay again.
Second time staying here and was sure to book a premium pull through. View's of Arches NP from the site!! Awesome! Sites are a little close together and there is some highway noise but bathrooms are clean with private toilet and shower rooms! Very friendly and helpful at check-in and in the c-store during our stay. We'll be back!
My family stopped for gas, water and restroom break. The gas price was $2 less per gallon than the rundown station at Crescent Junction just off I 70. We also highly recommend the restrooms; they were probably the cleanest we visited at a gas station our whole trip. The General Store has a good selection of items, but they will have to pay more which is understandable given the location. We bought some drinking water before heading to Canyonlands NP for a visit. It was so hot (100 degrees) at the park we were glad we stocked up with more water. Would definitely stop again given the opportunity.
Sites are close together, but the surroundings are worth it! all pull=thru sites ~ a plus for us! Bathrooms are OK..... Each one is totally separate so a bit more private. Even tho many folks had ATVs etc, there was very little noise. Minutes to downtown Moab and entrance to Arches Natl Pk!
This place is quite in the middle of nowhere, which is really only a couple of miles or less from Arches National Park, meaning, it is a good thing. Archview is a clean place. We thought that it was a bit crammed, giving the fact that the place is surrounded by desert and there is nothing but space all around it. I'm sure there are reasons for this but the RV spaces were very, very close together and very next to the little, cute cabins. They have a laundry room. The bathrooms/showers were clean and nice, except for the fact that the toilet is in the same room as the shower and there are only two of those in each side of the park, therefore if the two are busy with people taking showers, you'll have to use your RV facilities if available. When traveling with 9 people like we did, it is hard to deal with only one bathroom for all, thus the importance of this feature for our family and our trip. Other than that, this is nice find. We loved the little pool and water park. We were only able to use it for a little bit due to a lightning storm approaching fast but it was fun! They have a little general store, more like a convenience store (i.e. 7Eleven, am/pm, etc) as well as a Chevron gas station. It was, after all, a pleasant experience for one night before heading out to visit Arches National Park.
We stayed two nights in a fifth wheel. The staff at the store and registration were very friendly and helpful upon arrival. Gave us maps and a quick rundown of the area. We spent our time at Arches Natl. Park and Moab so can't attest to the bathhouse, pool or other amenities. They do use tengo internet service which we have found to be the worst everywhere we have been across the U.S.! But didn't need it for much. The park is all gravel and can be quite dusty when vehicles drive through. All in all a good stay. And as the name implies you can see some arches from the park! Would stay again.
The clean bathrooms were wonderful, although could get pretty toasty in July. The laundry room was also clean and nice. It’s handy to have a small store on sight. The campground was near Moab but not right on the edge of the town, which was nice. You actually can see Arches National Park in the distance which was very pretty as the sun was rising. My only complaint was that the site they put us in was really too small for our truck and trailer. We had to unhook and pull in close to our camper which meant we could t oh the awning of our trailer out and didn’t have much room on our site. I should have complained and asked for a different site.
The customer service and facilities at Archview were disappointing. The staff was rude and the bathrooms were unkept with poor ventilation. This campground is about making money not about return visits.
I stayed in my rv for 8 days. Nice place, a lot of off road bikers and jeeps during jeep week. My spot was way out on road, so I would ask for a less noisy spot in the future. Added a few days and staff worked with me to not have to move to a different rv site. A bit far out of town, but nice to not be in town during jeep week.
