Do not bother staying here unless you are 4-wheeling or riding dirt bikes. This is who they cater to and anyone else... you’re just stuck in a noisy, dusty hellhole. Also, pull through sites are not long enough for any truck trailer combination- you have to disconnect and park your truck elsewhere. Will never, ever stay here again.
This park is perfectly situated near Arches, Canyonlands, and the town of Moab. It is dusty but that is to be expected - red dust everywhere. They have a nice area for a campfire with friends. One of the bathroom buildings was down which was a problem and lead to a lot of waiting. Also the bathrooms became dirty because of the dust/mud. The staff were very nice. There is a small store and a gas station. Views of some of the arches at Arches National Park are present - thus the name.
The place looked clean and orderly but we didn't use any of the facilities. We called in Jan to change our reservations and when we arrived in March, the changes had not been made. We changed the size of RV and the days we would be there. Luckily it was early in the season so there was a space available for us. The RV sites are backwards, instead of having the premium sites facing the beautiful scenery, they face the RV park. It rained one day while we were there and our site was a pond. On a good note, the ladies we dealt with were very nice and helpful. It was also nice to have a gas station and small store on site.
We decided to make a quick weekend trip to Moab with only about 2 weeks to find a place to park the RV. We were happy to find that Archview had a site available considering this is the busy season for Moab. This RV park also has onsite cabins available. But one of the best reasons to stay at this site is the view. You can see Arches in the distance and the snow covered La Sal mountains are breath taking. The showers and restrooms were clean. The on site gas station was super convenient. And it was right across the road to the Canyonlands turn off, and Arches is just down the road about 10 minutes. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Moab, this is the place for you.
This is more of an rv site but they do have a few small cabins and three of us stayed in one called the jail! It had a double bed and a bunk bed but the top bunk was very close to the ceiling so only really for smaller children. The room did have a heater but seemed to blow out cold air after a while so had to turn it off. The cabin also had an indoor picnic table and a fridge and microwave although we didn't use them and with three of us in there it was rather cramped! There is a shared bathroom area in another larger cabin which was well heated as well as being very clean. The only issue was that there were only two showers and the toilets were in the same room as the shower so it was annoying at busy times when people were taking a shower and you just wanted the toilet. Site is very well situated for both canyonlands and arches national parks and a 15 min drive into Moab, although very busy road at the weekend. Overall cheapish option in the area and warmer than a tent! Note, no drinking water available free there so bring some with you or fill up in the parks.
We stayed 3 nights in a Deluxe Cabin. It worked well for our needs except we wished they had a coffee pot and a hair dryer. The gas station/store doesn't open until 8am and we were usually on the road by then with no way of getting any coffee. Otherwise the bed was comfy and we enjoyed the stay.
We stayed in a basic cabin which was well furnished with a refrigerator, TV, two double beds, linen and AC. The campground has quite a few amenities with a pool, splash pool and BBQ area but there isn't much shade as the trees were fairly immature. Rest rooms were nice, but there aren't enough of them and the showers were tepid at most (this is why this is not 5 stars).
We stayed one night passing through Moab pulling a 27’ trailer. It is several miles out of town, but I liked that because we were out of the hubbub of Moab. But it’s not so far that you couldn’t go back into town if you wanted to. The sites are fairly good size, there are some small trees so there is a little shade. We did have to unhook the trailer from the truck because the site was not long enough for truck and trailer. We would stay there again.
All gravel campground, some trees, site not level had to use leveling blocks. Hookups in good working order. Showers didn't have hot water, notified management. No followup. Second morning same, no hot water. I used my shower in in my RV from that point on. Chevron station out front sells gas and diesel, price is higher per gallon than in town. Good location for visiting the Arches National Park and Canyonlands.
Camped in a 23' travel trailer for a week. Great location. Really close to Arches National Park and outside of the traffic areas of Moab, so we took advantage by adding several evening and early morning trips to the park for sunrises and sunsets. Also convenient access to the road to Canyonlands without having to drive through Moab. Although there aren't many trees, our site did have a couple of perfectly-located trees for some afternoon shade and the free WiFi was excellent! We didn't use the pool, but there is one. It's not cheap to stay here, but the amenities were good and we loved the location!
