The hotel was very dated and as a result the impression is that it's also not real clean. The room was so small that it felt cramped with just my husband and I. In the future we will gladly pay the minimal price difference for a more pleasant stay. On the plus side the staff we interacted with were wonderful!

It's what you should expect for a cheap hotel. So do not expect much. It could be that I usually stay at much nicer hotels and everything was sold out and I needed a room after my flight was cancelled. If you need a bed and that's all you need, it's ok.

Lobby and hallways smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Bathroom wall was deteriorating because of water damage. Refrigerator was very loud. We unplugged it to be able to sleep.

Staff was very respectful and accommodating. I thought the breakfast was great and the waffles were great.

Honestly, if you don't have to stay here - don't. I knew it was a two star hotel upon booking but holy cow. This place is gross. The sheets has cigarette burns in them, the towels and shower curtain look like they haven't been replaced in YEARS. Some were white and some were so old they were yellow. One day we even came back from our work meeting to find our room left open with the door stopper in the door. Our cleaning person left our door open! The breakfast was good if you got there right at the beginning but if you showed up an hour into the breakfast time most of the good stuff was already gone. Seriously, spend the extra money and go somewhere else. I wish I would have!

This was our second night as a mini-vacation with our daughter. The motel was in a good location for restaurants, but it smelled quite bad--even though non-smoking, the whole place reeked of stale cigarette smoke. Amenities? Not any that stood the test of a good motel. The room AC was fair but didn't deal with the odors.

We stayed here because it was the most inexpensive hotel within driving distance (about 7 miles) of the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. The entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and was quite noxious to modern sensibilities. The continental breakfast was below average with few selections. I could live with the "old" TV (they've not upgraded to flat screens), but was disappointed to find no USB stations to charge my cell phone.

It wasn't much, only slept for 3 hrs had their yummy waffles and left

We have been going to visit family in Shakopee every few months for a number of years now. We have been staying at the Travelodge for most of the trips there. We find the price fits our limited budget, the rooms are clean ,and comfortable. The staff has always been pleasant. more than likely we will stay there again for our spring visit.

Went to Shakopee to be with family. Hotel looks run down and the room was not very clean. The tub needed cleaning and hair was on the floor. Bathroom is really small with no counter space.

I stayed here for a night on my way up North. It was ok, but nothing special. Didn't have a pool and blanket had cigarette burns but otherwise ok.

What hotel has a continental breakfast but no coffee? We had to stay somewhere while our wood floors were being refinished. This was definitely not the place to be. Staff was on the verge of being rude. We had to lis ten to them argue on the phone with guests. The customer I'd not always right in this place. I'm not sure the clientelle was being too lawful either. Definitely not the place you want to be. If I owned that chaon I'd close that location first!!

Overall, I would stay here again. Price was right, service was good, within walking distance to bars, decent breakfast. The room was a bit cold and one of the bedsheets had a hole in it from a cigarette. Other than that, everything was fine.

Comfortable, cozy, worked for me! Great coffee and tremendous waffles. Staff was friendly.

Didn't expect too much out of the price we paid for one night. Overall experience was good. Staff was friendly. Check-in check-out was quick. Actually the AC in our room smelled when turned to the head option, which also set off the fire alarm. But other than that it was a okay place to spend one night.

We've stayed in the past. Each time is a little better then the last. We go to visit my "Mom", and find that the location is very easy to get to other places that we go to. The room was clean and comfortable,a little warm, but putting the a/c on fixed that. We'll stay there again the next time we go.

this is the third time we have stayed in this motel, each time it has been a little better. the staff is very friendly and accomodating. the comfort level is good. we will stay here again.

We had tried the travelodge before and were very disappointed, so disappointed in fact, I swore I would not book there again. But the rate is within our budget, so we tried them again. Things were better this time. We will check with them the next time we travel to Shakopee in the spring.

The only good thing about this place is the price. But when they say you pay for what you get, they are not kidding. Entire place smells of smoke. Non smoking room smells of smoke. Comforters and blankets had burn holes. Carpet in the hallways was loose and wrinkled. We stayed here because it was close to Valleyfair but we will be more than glad to pay more for a cleaner and better room. If all you care about is price this is for you. Otherwise, RUN!

They still allow smoking in this hotel and you can sure smell it. The room was small but adequate for adults who just need a bed to sleep on, but nothing more than that. There was no soap, shampoo, conditioner or any bathing cleaning items in the room, which I found very odd. The service is okay and it was mostly quiet in our room.
