DoubleTree by Hilton Milwaukee - Brookfield

our kids live in Brookfield so we have stayed here a number of times. Desk staff is very nice, and they have a nice little lobby bar with a very friendly bartender who keeps up with the traffic well.

Hotel was under renovation and construction during my stay, desk staff did not mention that fact at check-in or what areas were open/closed, there was posted signage around. Room was in fair condition, 1 wall power outlet was non-functional and I let desk staff know at check-out. Some room doors are very close to each other, neighboring room guests entered/exited numerous times during both nights of my stay and didn't take much care to not slam the door each and every time. I was surprised to learn that this hotel chain charges guests an additional fee for a continental breakfast. $12 for cereal, toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt & juice doesn't really seem justified and I skipped it the 2nd morning and would skip Hilton and search for other hotel chains in the future based on this alone.

My friend and I came in from California for the Green Bay Packers game and stayed at the Doible Tree. Awesome hotel with friendly staff. The bed and pillows were amazing. Close to good restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be coming back to stay here

This place is very far away from the airport in Milwaukee, there was no fridge to keep food or drinks we were there for 4 nights the vending machines were either out of product or not working. There was a storm on Sunday night and we lost power for hours. I know you can not predict the weather or help the loss of power however there was NO emergency lights in the room it was pitch black, there was some lights in the hallway just not near our room.

I think this hotel is a good hotel but I would only recommend it for business and couples, not really for leisure time. It was a very quiet/reserved hotel but very beautiful in the inside. I went with friends and we were excited to go swimming but found out their pool was closed for the night. However, the area was great. Brookfield Mall is nearby and there are tons of restaurants. Rooms were clean also. The staff were also friendly and we got oatmeal cookies after check-in.

cookie at front desk made you feel like you were staying with Mon

I have stayed with doubletree in the past and was always happy. This room was different. When I walked in it was like a sauna, no big deal I turned on the air. While unpacking I noticed cobwebs hanhing from the ceiling. When I adjusted the air there were spider webs in the corners with spiders. In the middle of the night the fire alarm in the room went off. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone. It went off at least 3 more time and no one came. The next morning it went of while I was showering and wouldn't stop. I finally dismantled them. On my way out I told the front desk. The alarm was never fixed. I also told them that the room was wet, the carpets, the sofa, the bed, the towels, everything in the room felt wet. When I was at the front desk I heard someone else say the same thing. Soory to say not a good experience.

This was a perfect spot for our visitors from Belgium. Also, the restaurant was delicious and their staff very accommodating.

Location is satisfactory. Staff is helpful - lending us an umbrella during thunderstorm. Provided information on church services. Could come back again at the right price. Nicer if refrigerator is available in room.

Everything was great but just havnt received my hotel reimbursement back ..

these are very nice rooms for the price, and a good location for us when visiting family. However, their continental breakfast at $8 (yogurt, fruit, muffins, juice) seems a bit pricy and they still charge for internet in the room (however it is available free in the lobby).

Hotel has a nice/bar restaurant so you do not have to leave the property to eat.

Had to check in early and hotel was able to meet our that request. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable.

We stayed for one night. 2 adults. And we were charged extra for no reason. Found extra charges through my credit card bill. Not happy. Had to call the hotel staff. Plus ice machine was broken and no mini fridge in room. Won't be staying there again!

We have stayed at the Double Tree numerous times. Always we are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We enjoy the location of the Double Tree and the warm cookies!! The room walls seemed a bit thin, on this particular visit, as we heard every door slamming shut by our neighbors throughout the night. At times we thought someone was entering our room.

Fine experience. Loved the cookies. Pool and fitness center nice and clean. Staff courteous. One issue: Charged for Internet. Would much prefer to see a free Internet policy.

We've made 4 trips in the past year to visit our son at college in Milwaukee. The other hotels we stayed at were so dirty and a poor value especially the Forty Winks Inn. I recommend the Double Tree for its cleanliness. Finally my skinned didn't crawl when I entered the room.

Very nice, clean and quiet room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location - easy access to many local places in Milwaukee. Would recommend it to family and friends. You get hot chocolate chip cookies when you check in - can't beat that with a stick!!

Lovely

As a Business traveler, this hotel was located in a decent area with plenty of shopping near by. Other than a coffee maker in my room, it offered little else. Food was average and expensive, but nevertheless in trying to keep all expenses on one bill, I was forced to eat the hotel food.
