Quoted a much cheaper price when I booked. No one at desk at check in - -- there was sign stating will be right back and if need assistance with phone number...I waited for ten minutes then called #, the phone rang on the unattended desk. Other customers came in and we waited--other customers got assistance from restaurant staff-whom rang bell a lot and loud. Girl finally came. I asked for elevator but she said she had to help with it but obviously wanted me to wait while she checked in the other customers. I just dragged my bag up stairs. Key for door wouldn't work--had to go down to desk and wait again as she was no longer there--another 10 min wait. She couldn't get key to work either --5 sets of keys later and on third different room, I got in. I could not lock my door when I left as it was difficult to open lock. By the time I got down to check out the restaurant, the kitchen was closed These accommodations are nice but definitely not worth cost or the frustration
Wonderful 3 day stay at this boutique European style hotel. Terrific service. Wonderful walkable location to great shops and restaurants (including Italian in the building). Don’t expect or compare to the Loews or Biltmore) - it’s not that and not trying to be. Clean, comfortable and lots of character. Will be my go to place when visiting Coral Gables in the future after staying at lots of different hotels in the area.
Costumer service was phenomenal! Hotel’s staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Great location and cleanliness. Space to put away clothing not very convenient. Armoire drawer would get stuck. Not convenient for two people’s clothing.
Great location and staff was great.
Besutiful place, great staff. One negative thing is not having a coffee machine in room.
Pleasantly surprised because it was built in 1920’s. Has the old elevator that requires someone to operate which was charming. Room had everything needed, loved wood floors and especially the ceiling fan! Bath was updated granite and very nice with eco friendly toilets.
Room was very clean and comfortable, excellent location, and unique charm!
The experience was wonderful. Very intimate/romantic place. The restaurant was very nice. I totally recommend this hotel.
Staff was nice and room was clean. Convent location
Classic appointments and feel to the rooms and hotel
First time stay. The experience was pleasant & comfortable
From front desk to housekeeping every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly and super helpful. I do wish there had been a coffee maker or at least a microwave in the room, however I was able to use the staff microwave whenever I needed!
Hotel St Michel is our favorite hotel in Miami. It is in a beautiful historic Florida building, with a European hotel feel. The decor is wonderful, staff excellent. So much more interesting and fun than the usual hotels.
Beautiful ambiance, very clean. Limited elevator, would not want to be a guest who can't do stairs. Staff helpful and friendly. Very quiet, as nd great location.

Dear Kathy I apologize for the wait when you arrived and the key not working to open the door and we had to change you to another room..I called the look smith the next day to attend to the matter. We are a small property and keep only the desk clerk after 10pm. We take our guests to their rooms when they arrive which was not done in your case after reviewing the security footage. My apologies again. Evelyn Davis - Front Desk Manager
