· I loved the location of the Generator and the nice interior design. It looks new, clean and fresh. Probably the coolest hostel/hotel I’ve been at. And the staff were amazing too! Always so helpful and kind :-)
Travelers, both rich guys and ordinary guys...we all know that it is not luxury to find good hotel in Miami, meant good value to price, some are extremely expansive and no value service and some are very poor and old hotels.. This hotel is something new trend in this business definitely, everything is perfect super fantastic... Ocean view, Front of the best night club and lounge bar Faena, Beach is in 3min walk Sparkling clean Everything so fresh and new Swimming pool Pool (snooker) in the lobby Bar And perfect staff Full equipped mini bar
I can't rave enough about how great our stay was at the Generator Miami! The staff was amazing, the decor is so well done and the pool and outdoor lounge area was amazing. The food at the restaurant was also incredible. I seriously love this place and will be staying here any time I'm in Miami in the future. We couldn't believe the quality we received on every level considering how affordable our room was!
Second time at Generator (first time was in Berlin) and for the second time I've had an amazing experience. Clean, attentive service, beautiful decoration. The pool is a very nice place to stay cool, enjoy your drinks, have a good time alone or with friends and family. Definately will recommend Generator!
The hostel impressed me with its modern design, cleanliness, and pool area. Super close to beach but far away from main south beach and restaurants. Not ideal for solo travelers lacks community feels more like a hotel more families and group of friends. I recommend it’s still in a few location and you get an experience for the price.
I was in Miami with a friend for a week at the end February 2019. We booked the place as we wanted to stay at a hostel with an older crowd vibe. This place far exceeded our expectations. As soon as we arrived, the reception was very helpful in assisting us with storing our luggage until check in and provided some tips on what to do in Miami. They even provided us with beach towels to hit the beach and even allowed us to eat the breakfast there first. These are the following pros & cons: PROS -Friendly and super helpful staff (Eric and Rob i must point out were fantastic in helping us with all of our questions and requests). -Continental breakfast was pretty good and goes until 10am -CLEAN ROOMS (this was very important as the stay was very comfortable due to the cleanliness) -Daily cleaning for our rooms -Pool & outdoor common area had the best vibe. They play music at night and there is also a bar out there. Felt more like a lounge than a hostel. -Pool area is spacious and clean for those who do not want to hit up the beach. -Scooters and bikes for rental at a reasonable rate. -Location is fantastic. It is in mid-beach and close to the free Trolleys that Miami beach offer. -One block away from the beach. Literally a 2 minute walk and you're right on the white sandy beach. -Restaurant within the hostel. CONS -It is pricier than most hostels that you will find, but totally worth it. Felt more like a boutique hotel than hostel. I have been to Miami three times, and this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed at in the city. -Wayne from Edmonton
When I first walked into the lobby I could not believe that this was a hostel, since it looked so much like a luxury hotel. The front desk personnel was so friendly, and they had items for sale at decent prices like shampoo, conditioner and a lock for $7. I appreciated the free beach towels! The dorm I stayed in had its own shower and its own bathroom, which was very nice, since other hostels you have to walk to a separate location outside of the room just to get to the bathroom. The view from my room itself was of the lovely pool outside. I found this hostel to be quiet and I also enjoyed the fact that the beds had their own plugs for electronics to charge easily. Storage under the bed is large and able to be locked. The hostel is in the Faena district, with luxury hotels nearby. It is a lovely area and the beach across the street is beautiful and quiet. There is a Starbucks within a short walk. The only negatives: While there is a restaurant attached to the hostel with a lovely ambiance, a burger is about $20 and anything fancier or if you get a drink will cost more than the room itself! Also, the shower water is not hot. The walk to South Beach is about 2 hours. Definitely recommend this hostel and can't wait to go spend many weekends there!
A great value. A lot of 4 and 5 star hotels in the area arent as great as Generator. I was nervous about staying at a 'hostel' but they delivered. The restaurant and bar staff are friendly and really know their stuff but the front desk staff could be more friendly and helpful. They seemed impatience with simple requests. One guy even hassled me about the plastic tag that fell off the keychain for the bike rental. The room was perfectly clean and well kept. I'll stay again when traveling to Miami.
Stayed here during my layover and it was a very cute place. The rooms are nice, the food is delicious and the pool and the workers are great. It does get a but loud at night but nothing that is too bothersome. I highly recommend if you need a cheap place to stay for a night or two and don't mind sharing a room with strangers. Will definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
I highly recommend this new hotel and hostel. It is immaculate for starters, very meticulously maintained. The pool area is very nice w full bar and delicious food available poolside or on a spacious patio. Continental breakfast is very basic yet fresh and well stocked throughout the entire breakfast hours. They’re a little odd about food delivery as they’re pushing the restaurant but it is allowed in a small area designated for outside food. Most hotels aren’t so uppity about a pizza delivery lol yet overall, an awesome stay.
