I had a great experience at the Crescent Resort. When we first arrived to check-in, the hostess was very welcoming and helpful. I had other people checking in a day later and that process was very simple and easy. Even though housekeeping only comes every 4 days, they were great with bring us extra towels and coffee and sugars. The roof top part was a great addition.

We were taking a weeklong trip around Florida and wanted to experience Ocean Drive lifestyle. The Crescent Resort was just what we were looking for, it was a great value and steps from the beach. The roof deck provided a great venue for our friends and I to have a drink and take in the atmosphere. I would recommend this resort to friends.

Situated across from the beach, the Crescent proves an unbeatable location on the "quieter" end of Ocean Drive. Lincoln Mall and Espano Way a a short walk as is a stroll in Lummnus park onthe boardwalk. The staff is highly professional, helpful, and friendly, The rooof top deck provides expansive views and a welcome reprieve on a windy day to sunning on the beach while the front proch provides great people watching. This was my second visit and I will surely return.

Rooms are good, cleaning is good, close to the ocean

Crescent is all about value and location. Don't go there if you're ultra fussy and want 5 star treatment at 3 star prices. I'm low maintenance and I even prefer to give the hard-working staff a break wherever possible on cleaning etc. My room was dark and a bit dank but it motivated me to get outside more which is what you should be doing in Miami. Staff are all good people, I hope they prosper and all low-life demanding customers stay away.

I had a great time at this hotel!! From the location to the amazing comfortable bed that was hard to leave everyday. Check in was fast and friendly after our flight. The hotel maybe right across from the beach but it is a little far from certain things i.e wet willies and certain restaurants but the walking was great after eating so much. A few things I would change is the tv's in the rooms, the shower pressure which is problem for most south beach hotels, the elevator was deathly slow and hot! I did like the fact that u need to use your room key after hours which made me feel safe. All in all I loved it here and will be coming back!!

The hotel is not absolutely horrible per say, but we will never stay there again. It is an old building that they tried to do the best with. The room we stayed in fit 4 according to the booking agent, when it really was a room for 2. There was 1 bed and 1 couch that was a pull out. The bathroom was accessible through the bedroom only. Also, they did not have enough towels for the number of guest staying at the hotel and left only a hand towel in our room while telling us we had to wait on them to finish laundry to get any towels...

The selling point of the hotel is its location..it is a few blocks away from the craziness of the center of Ocean Drive, but close enough to all of the good restuarants and right across from the beach. We went with a 12 month old, so the kitchenette feature came in handy. The room was basic but neat and spacious. Front desk was helpful in recommending places to eat and even lent us a beach umbrella saving us a rental charge. No room service or restaurant in the hotel, but didn't matter, plenty to eat on the strip. Highly recommend.

The hotel isn't much to look at from outside. Not allowed to check in until 4pm, which is late. Hotel held our luggage behind a curtain up front. Room was big for the price. Ice maker in fridge took a day to form enough ice to use. bed was good, the throw pillow had stains on it. Overall the room was good. The only bad thing i experienced was the last night i woke up around 2am, went to the washroom and there was a huge cockroach on the jacuzzi...it ran when the light came on and crawled into a hole under the jacuzzi. The hotel desk knew very little about miami, not a huge deal, but overall they seemed to not really care about helping out guests. The location of the hotel is good, toward the quieter end of ocean drive. There is a walgreens about 3 blocks up on collins but we discovered a small convenience store at 14th and washington that had everything you need for much cheaper. For example, a 12 pack of corona at walgreen was $18 and at the convenience store it was $13. Sunblock at walgreens was $13, at convenience store $6. If you like mexican food, go to "O mexico" on espanola way. Its only 3 blocks from this hotel. They have the best tres leches cake i've ever had, trust me, you will be impressed. Their food was also excellent and tasted home made. Planet sushi was excellent. Le Sandwicherie on 14th and washington was delicious and fresh. A couple could share 1 sub for 7 bucks and be fine for lunch. The beach area directly in front of cresent seemed slower in terms of people. If you want more action, head to the beach and make a right on the sand till you find your spot. Tip-if you plan on walking down ocean to get somewhere, walk down the beach. it is a lot faster and there is a breeze so you won't get as hot. You will sweat unbearably there so any little bit helps. Do not eat at jerry's deli, it is expensive and the food is bland. If you want deli, see my suggestion above. Also, gratuity is included at all restaurants on ocean drive(17%) so be wary at the constant sales pitches by the people on the sidewalks trying to get you to eat there. They'll say 2 for 1 drinks, but the drinks are usually about 25-30 bucks for one. Head to espanola way and lincoln to experience what the locals know to be the best. Another thing i saw when sitting in the lobby was disturbing. The maid brought a stack of freshly washed yellow beach towels to the front desk. The lady at the front desk took them and put them behind the desk as customary. A young lady came down to the front desk about ten minutes after that and asked for a beach towel and the front desk lady claimed to not have any available because they were all being washed! She was clearly lying because I saw a fresh delivery...why she did this, I do not know. Maybe the hotel trys to secretly limit how many beach towels they give out. Finally, i have been to miami many times over the past several years. One thing i have noticed is that the place has been getting increasingly popular with 'ghetto' people. I dont know what hotels these people stay at, but they tend to flock in groups on ocean drive and collins. They really take away from the miami flavor and ambiance. They walk around with their pants down on their knees, talk way too loudly, and use profanities in public around families with small children. Overall they are disrespectful and offer nothing to this area. One night there, about 11:40pm, a group of 4 young men were walking down collins and as they passed me two of the men in the group began arguing with each other which eventually led to a shoving match on street. This is just ugly and miami needs to take its own steps to rid the area of these unwanted guests.

room clean staff very nice

the hot water pipes made incredible noise at all hours of the night making sleeping very difficult

I love the location of this hotel. nice staffs. but if they can offer the ice in the hotel, that will be great.

the place was large and comfortable, but the sofa was stained, no bedside lamps, non sheets changed in ten days, location good, friendly staff

My second stay and I plan to return soon. Our five day Christmas visit was made perfect by parking the car and walking all over the South Beach area from Best Buy on 5th street to pick up an extra Christmas gift to a night time stroll on Lincoln Rd. for ice cream enjoying the street entertainment and holiday lights. My husband even had a cell phone issue and bought a new phone a few blocks from the hotel. We cooked breakfast each morning, eventhough there is an excellent spot next door. Markets are two blocks down 14th. One in particular serves Cuban coffee. Remember to walk west to the end of Ocean Drive to Sunrise Park. It's a great place for ocean views. If the timing is right you'll see cruise ships leaving port. I saw a few at dusk lit up like a floating jewel. Oh, almost forgot....catch the sun coming up from the roof top. Say hello to [...] & [...],they are so helpful. Can't wait to get back to The Crescent. The international flair and diversity are what I especially enjoy about South Beach. jewel.

Very good

The plumbing was being worked on and the bathroom faucet would come on automatically with a hiss or rumble. The cleaning staff were ok - but with decent daily tips I wouldn't rave. Front desk staff are friendly but far from outgoing.

Very nice older hotel. Could use some updates, but not bad at all. The price was good the location was superior.

You cannot beat the location: right on Ocean Drive, across the street from the beach, steps away from the Ocean Drive and Collins Ave. scene, Lincoln Road, etc. The room itself was fine, a good-size suite, no problems with noise at night. The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating with our requests. Not as fancy as some other places, but that was not a problem (in the interest of full disclosure, we were able to get the room at a significant discount). The hotel itself does not have a bar or restaurant, but there are countless options within a short walk. A great choice if you want to be right in the heart of South Beach but don't want to be in a spring break/perpetual party hotel.

This is a very good place to stay on south beach. For the price you can't do better.Very, very clean, would stay here again.Would recommend to others. On the down side there is a 20.00 parking fee,but this is about standard for the area.

I travel on business way too much, but this was vacation to attend Food Network's Food and Wine Festival. I was traveling alone, and as a single woman I felt very safe at the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely helpful in arranging transportation. The room was very spacious, which is not the norm on Ocean Avenue. It was upgraded, but the tile flooring had not been deep cleaned in quite some time as evidenced by the baseboards and nooks and crannies. This is not a high end hotel with amenities, such as high quality linens or a pool...but, the bed was very comfortable and it was much more affordable than other establishments in the area. I would go back.
